I'm a teenage girl who has never gardened or had a desire to garden and who should be studying for the act, but I think I've watched every single one of your videos. thanks for being a fun distraction from hectic life. even for someone who has no idea what any of this means.
I'm new to your channel but I am enjoying what you produce. I believe updates would be great especially since it would be nice to see how you deal with over-growths and fails.
I love the update videos. I really like the tour videos where you talk about your future plans. Your place is like a dreamland and I love watching as you guys complete your projects. It’s so cool to watch your vision come to fruition.
Very interesting and a great presentation. Its easy to see you are a very charming and very lovely lady which likes what you do and its a joy to see your enthusiasm, making the presentation all the more enjoyable to view.
YES! Please keep showing updates. It's fun to see the end product; can't wait to see your tulips! Love the stackable system but would start it on some kind of plant stand with casters.
Love the updates. Could you make a playlist of, say, "Greenstalk Stackable Gardening System Project"? That way one could follow the series through to see how the project went>
I am super excited when you mentioned Vietnamese Coriander... one of my favorite herb when making Asian Salad. But I had never this herb in non-Asian nursery before.
That's wonderful! I have similar stackable planters but they are in movable wheels so I can move them around in my patio. I planted hanging flowering plants like petunias and they look absolutely beautiful.I will try herbs and strawberry plants like what you've done, I'm sure they will be beautiful to look at too! Thanks for sharing, I'm learning a lot from your videos.
The stackable planters look FANTASTIC with so many different types of plants and herbs, and they are a great way to save on space too :-) thanks so much or sharing Laura and sending heaps of love and happiness from right across the Emerald Isle for a fantastic day XXXXXX
Thank you for sharing! I think this is a clever solution to those who'd like to garden but have limited space as well as limited ability to move planters. My thought is to make one of these for my mom, who is not able to lift and carry planters with any substantial size or weight to them do extensive arthritis. My hope is that the perennials will make a wonderful patio garden she can enjoy year after year.
YASSSS please do updates. I been waiting for an update on the tulip planter that had veggies first then you put the many many bulbs of tulips in. I can't wait to see that.
This was so helpful to watch!! I’ve been wanting to get a vertical garden for some time but am scared to do something wrong and ruin the plants! This really helped my decision to try it!! Thanks!! 👍🏼
Love it Laura. I really hope we can do a colab sometime. With our age being almost the same and all! We will be doing a greenstalk garden review as well!
Garden Answer hahaha we might not be in oregon any time soon, but we could film clips and send them to eachother then merge them into a video for eachother's channel! Let me know... I have been interested in colabing since I found your channel. It is just so rare nowadays to find someone in our age range so excited about plants that they want to upload stuff to social media about it.
I hope you got together to do the colab (I will search for it in your video library). I subscribe to both of your channels and thank you for your efforts!
I realize this was prior to your move to the bigger property but I saw that you were still using it in your new greenhouse / cold frame. I would guess you would be able to adjust the height/layers to only 3 or 4 if you didn't wish to go up that high. It looks like something that may be good for an apartment dweller to use to raise some plants too.
It looks as if it is expensive to fill with so many plants. Also the sage and rosemary plants can get large. It will be interesting to monitor its progress.
I like this. I live on the Texas gulf coast. Extremely high winds. I wonder if this can handle winds up to 70 mph. ( usually winds are 30-45.). I like the update videos. I'm new to gardening and planting. So the updates videos give me an idea how the project should be holding up.
+sandra666 I'm not sure that it would stand up to that high of winds, but it does end up being pretty heavy with all the soil, plants, and water. It also snaps together pretty tightly, too, which I think helps. If you give it a try, I would find somewhere that's a bit protected! :)
I'm late to the party, but definitely want updates. This product interests me. Hopefully the update contains a review. I am curious, though, about how you moved it into its final location, LOL!
In the update you might want to tell folks that they need to assemble it where they intend to leave it. That's gotta weigh a ton. I've had a similar system and the one problem is that one side always faces north so you need to plant a shade loving plant (unless you install it on a lazy susan). Love your videos, you are one of my top 10 favorite tubers (which includes Casey Neistat).
+energymaven To be in your top 10 with Casey Neistat...that is a HUGE compliment... thank you! :) You make a good point. I assembled mine where I intend to leave it, but didn't even think to mention that! Either way, I wish I would have put it on a lazy susan. The greenhouse doesn't have any shade (right out in the middle of nothing), so it will get really bright, muted light on both sides through the day, so we'll see how it goes! :) ~Laura
Hi Laura Question…. I did lavender in my top tier not sure what to do w it come fall? Will it get to big to stay in green stalk???? Ty always for your extremely helpful videos!!!!!
I would like to know how it does...I found that I had to keep turning the planter so it could get sun all around. They only time it gets total sun is at high noon then it starts to shadow the other side. The first half gets the morning sun then the other side gets the afternoon sun. I had to place it on a base with wheels. Donna
hey there, enjoyed the vid, yes will you give an update on the burlap box you made awhile ago. I want to make one, but I would like to see its progression. I'm in Michigan, and can't wait to start planting. I did put a garden bed together last week, during frigid temps. lol..... take care!!!
+Elana Williams Hello! We did an update on our FB page (now, I really wish we would have done a video about it...maybe this year)! You can go to our photos and scroll back to last summer to see how it looked more grown in. :)
Laura, love your channel. Question, will strawberries overwinter and survive the cold winters of Chicago zone 5B? Just received s 5 tier Greenstalk. Waiting for the snow to melt and spring to arrive to plant out.
We were looking into installing the window baskets and hoping it will produce the herbs and keep the plants alive during white winters, if anybody already is using this system plz let me know if it's worth the hype and I should get one of these. Thanks laura
I wonder how this would work with succulents!! That's just a lot of soil for succulents, especially if it has to be just one in each pocket. I need something like this because I don't have the space and have so many (still not enough in my opinion) succulents. It would be cool if they made different sizes!! Smaller, shallower, shorter, etc.
ola sua de brasil acompanho você aqui no canal amo seus videos e eles estão me imperando muito a gostar de jardim e flores. amei essa sintema pra plantar gostaria de saber se consigo comprar com envio aqui pro brasil ? aguardo retorno bjos
Laura, yes love the updates! I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOUR BEES ARE DOING! My mother in law also bee keeps but she had a what you call a raspberry aunt (we are in Houston TX) and they kill honey bees :( has your hive grown?
+Brenda Contreras We did an update video on my bees toward the end of last summer. They absconded. :( The whole entire hive left- in fact, I heard from several other beekeepers that it happened to them as well. I explain all about it in the video so if you have a few minutes, you might want to check it out! I'm going to keep trying, though! :)
Do you plant one side with shade loving plants and the other with sun loving plants .... or do you put it on a lazy susan to spin it for even sun exposure :) ?
+Jennifer Peterson I'm planning on leaving this planter in the greenhouse where it gets muted light all day long on all sides, but I would definitely consider a spinner for it if I were planning it somewhere where light exposure was an issue. :)
+Honesty Gauchy It's staying right where it sits (I think)! :) It gets bright, but muted, light all day long in the greenhouse and it's right by the door, so it will get good airflow. We'll see how it goes! If I have to move it...well, then I'll have to figure something out... haha! ;)
I'm a teenage girl who has never gardened or had a desire to garden and who should be studying for the act, but I think I've watched every single one of your videos. thanks for being a fun distraction from hectic life. even for someone who has no idea what any of this means.

I love those tall pots. Contain 30 herbs. Amazing. I do that too here. Very nice and simple. So not many pots at home
👍🏻 yes on the updates!

Updates on this tower and any other future projects please! Can't wait to see how beautifully everything grows!
I have those chives planted at the bottom of yard, they come back each year, even after really cold winters
I love seeing the update videos.. please keep doing them. Cant wait to see this when they all start growing.
Yes on updates!! I've seen that system in a video about Tiny Houses and the owner loved it.
+Veronica Rossi ua-cam.com/video/z4aoQxTE72w/v-deo.html
I love these older videos... newer ones not so much
Yes updates please!! I don't live that far from you so I learn a lot!!
Maybe a future video could be a tour of your yard. With all the plants in bloom for spring, I think many people would enjoy that.
I am also looking forward to the update!
So glad to watch this. I ordered my green stalk this week. Now I know how to put it together. Thank you for all your info❤️
I'm looking forward to the update. Love them.

Please update. I want to know how this unit works out.
