This is how you make a fan film! It is not perfect by any stretch of the word. The sound mixing wasn't the best, and the costumes could have been a bit better, but those are small potatoes. This was a film created with heart and soul, and is an example where passion makes up for a minuscule budget. I salute you film makers!
Interesting adaptation... the acting tho. I'd also suggest a less "demented" Death and instead one more cunning and with a, let's say, "golden tongue" to sweeten his words and make the brothers to fall in the trap of thinking they had beaten him.
Draco Nidhoggson It had nothing to do with the horseman aspect at all, its the sense of mystery behind him/it. If death says who he is, the brothers would have reasonable doubt and think he is some vagrant powerful wizard, but will still have their wish granted.
+Jacob Albers that's the point. According to the story it HAS to be a mysterious character that could infuse fear just by standing in front of you. You dont get that from any vagrant wizard. At least not one you dont know (take voldemort flr example it took him years to infuse all that fear in people). The story wouldn't have that feeling if it wasn't that way.
Of course she not alright she's eating soup with a fork on a plate. Forks are not meant for that use they are meant for solids not liquids! I would be depressed if I had to eat my chicken noodle soup with a fork
This isn't perfect, but that doesn't make it any less amazing than it I. I wish most of these "fans" would shut their cakeholes and just appreciate this as a brillant piece of fan art. I loved it.
+Fapping Grapple okay, so as a fan of Harry Potter, you didn't like this, and I can respect that. But I give them props for trying, and they did a fantastic job. It may not be as accurate as you would like it to be, but hey, guess what? Neither were the movies and fans love them just as much.
+Fapping Grapple in my opinion, their "necessary changes" made no sense to me. There is so much that could've been kept, yet they chose to take them out to add ridiculous things, like that dance scene between Harry and Hermione in DHp1. Cute, but not in the book and unnecessary.
+Nykia Burdine I agree about the unnecessary changes, but I think the movie version was better because it had no speech, and it was not too detailed... just like in a childrens story, which is what the tale of the three brothers is. ,
harry and voldemort are related as the second brother is a defendant of voldemorts and the 3rd is a defendant of Harry which is how voldemorts got the resurrection stone and harry got the cloak.
This would have been better if the actors followed Hermione's narration... Death wouldn't be laughing and clapping sarcastically if he "felt cheated", and they didn't "simply wave their wands and made a bridge" if 2 of the 3 brothers didn't even know they could, the second brother even doubted the possibility, when just one wizard should have been able to make a bridge...
This was actually pretty cool. Why are most of you hating on this? I'd like to see you try this and make it come out this awesome. And no, I don't think it was racist that a black man played death, it was probably who he wanted to play.
I think that the first part was a little weird, but once it got to the second brother's "story" everything after that was good. His segment was chilling to me
Quick Question: Have you seen anything Rowling has done, if so, I doubt this comment would exist, and 5 out of 5, really, Acting = Bad + Bad Setup + Bad clothes + Incorrect Plot = Good, then either you have never watched a movie, or you are just way too kind
Tartarus 13 I have seen all the potter films, read all the books repeatedly, read a lot of pottermore stuff, seen videos she has done, etc. So, yes, quite a lot. Disagree with your review.
The best part was the actor playing the youngest brother. The credit's says Cadmus' son, but it's Ignotus' son. And maybe the youngest brother should have word a grey/white beard and to look old in his death scene
I got through the straight "winding" road and the treacherous "river" that I could have jumped over but when "Death" appeared I couldn't take it any more.
I thought Death was the best portrayal of the lot, especially the way in which he gestured with his hands. You couldn't expect DEATH to come over as a normal individual, surely?
Funny how the story says that death reluctantly (sorry if it is spelled wrong) gave the third brother the cloak, but in the film he just takes it out and gives it to him like nothing. Kinda like the Dumbledore scene in Goblet of fire. Anyway's good adaption.
I thought it was fine. Pretty well done and right on track. People just find it trendy to hate on things now. Even though I can guarantee non of them would have done any better.
The resurection stone is supposed to be identical to any other stone, that is why Harry lost it in the last book. Also the spell is Avada Kedavra not Avada Kedavro, plus it's essince is supposed to be green, not a purplish pink.
I cracked up when Death appeared.
LOL!
I expected Death to be a bit taller...
me too
solstice Death was the worst actor ever
solstice not just taller, but bigger. definitely bigger then the 3 brothers. And much more confident.
I expected death to be cgi and also not sound drunk
Me too
never thought the grim reaper would have skin and be on crack.
god acting. wonderful little skit. love it.
I thought the Black Death was the plague not a stoned jar jar binks

Does their cloths bother anyone else?
Oh and my left ear enjoyed this.
Oh, thank Lord, I legit thought my headphones were broken. Thanks!!
Jacqueline Quinn when?
***** yyyeeesss! I'm not the only nerd
Zahra Meri me
Yeah mine too.
Not bad. you could have used some animation to hide the third brother though. Why does death sound like he is on drugs?
The lonely wining road looks like an ideal place to go for a morning stroll and the river does not look treacherous at all
Interesting adaptation... the acting tho. I'd also suggest a less "demented" Death and instead one more cunning and with a, let's say, "golden tongue" to sweeten his words and make the brothers to fall in the trap of thinking they had beaten him.
I feel it would be slightly better to make death less cloaked up and have a human appearance. Like the series Supernatural's version of Death.
+Jacob Albers yeah but that death was a horseman of the apocalypse. This one is more based on the mythical figure surrounded in shadows and mystery
Draco Nidhoggson It had nothing to do with the horseman aspect at all, its the sense of mystery behind him/it. If death says who he is, the brothers would have reasonable doubt and think he is some vagrant powerful wizard, but will still have their wish granted.

Good point. As fan videos go not bad. Your Idea would make it better.
I hope I look that good when I "attain a great age".
Hahahah
1:27 did they just use the spell that lockhart used on the snake?
Sort of but they say it wrong
chase1146 yeah they used a spell that sends objects into the air. To build a bridge......
chase1146 almost but not the last part 'acenderay' or whatever
chase1146 I wonder😑😑
its death...not palpatine
xd
Exactly
jack happ Looks and sounds just like him
👌 comment lol
Of course she not alright she's eating soup with a fork on a plate. Forks are not meant for that use they are meant for solids not liquids! I would be depressed if I had to eat my chicken noodle soup with a fork
That's why the spork was invented
The second brother must have been hard. Imagine people walking by and thinking he was actually killing himself
This isn't perfect, but that doesn't make it any less amazing than it I. I wish most of these "fans" would shut their cakeholes and just appreciate this as a brillant piece of fan art. I loved it.

,
+bunnybop234 that, I can agree with, because I loved the movie version more as well. The animation was beautiful and it all just worked.
Agreed
The third brother is a bit too visible
Its so bad I actually liked it. Nice job.
black or not, the person playing death is hilariously awful.
Cruell DeVil agreed
Cruell DeVil definitely agreed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol
Dom the expert gamer yes
Lol that scene Death and the 3rd brother, looks like a gay couple playing hide and seek
I quite agree
xD
I can’t tell if you’re joking because you’re gay or homophobic
harry and voldemort are related as the second brother is a defendant of voldemorts and the 3rd is a defendant of Harry which is how voldemorts got the resurrection stone and harry got the cloak.
Great stuff!
A nice retelling of the Golden Path from Babylon Dune Trekwarts.
Ignotus was the third brother, not Cadmus...
might have been an idea for the third brother to have an older actor when he reached a great age that guy looks about 25
were's the bridge?
once death showed up I clicked stop. no regrets
I agree very much
This was actually pretty cool. Why are most of you hating on this? I'd like to see you try this and make it come out this awesome. And no, I don't think it was racist that a black man played death, it was probably who he wanted to play.
Fantastic acting..i mean, seriously, just amazing
I should note that Avada Kedavra produces a burst of green light, not red.
i personally do not like the actor for death. i would not thing death to have such a voice and manner of speaking
I agree. Death is not a crazy bad guy, he is simply a powerful being, that escorts people from this life to the next. (If you believe in such things)
Elias Bischoff exactly. i do not personally believe in that sort of thing but that is what i would imagine it to be
ikr
Death seemed to willing to give his cloak up.
In the book, movie, and spin off book he gave it reluctantly.
TheBlackDemon1996 | Ikr, that's what I thought
death would not laugh when he asked for the invisibilty cloak
11:01 the Gryffindor banner lol 😂😂😂
This will forever be my most favorite version of the tale of three brothers. And the guy who plays death is amazing!
Good short movie! It was cool to watch it. I think that must have been a lot of work.
The guy playing death was terrible, sorry
No worries, we all thought the same
Spooky he looks like a drunk emperor palpatine
how did palpatine get in here
Darth Primus rae 😂
You guys should have greenscreened the cloak. Perfect opportunity.
Is the guy who plays death missing part of his finger?
I think Death may have snorted some of Snape's ingredients before filming his scenes.
Very good film, just not the best actors.
Shona O'Neill stop being mean
Abubakr well he’s more wrong lol and he said it nicely lol
this was pretty cringeworthy, 11/10 on cringefactor
0:54 Absolutely terrible acting.
ikr
Certain | I laughed at that part xD
Certain I laughed too
Certain a black gigs obviously plays death
Certainly terrible acting
This was O.K The person who played death could have been a bit more subtel with his acting though
avada kadavra is supposed to be a green lightning
I liked it, it looks very nice/realistic
Except Death lol
Weirdest Death Angel that I ever have seen. Death must be using marijuana when he takes people with himself. LEL
I love this Death. he is amazing!
The moment death appears, i am like "wtf"
Is it just me or does death sound like Merlin when he took the again potion?
NOW I see how that invisibility cloak works.........NOT
Do the three brothers shop at H&M?
this was actually pretty disappointing
tru
rip
I think that the first part was a little weird, but once it got to the second brother's "story" everything after that was good. His segment was chilling to me
I loved the acting and dialogue. Terrific job you guys 👍✨
Great short film.
"AVADA KEDAVRO!" SERIOUSLY THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THIS MOVIE
You couldn't see through the invisibility cloak
What is the camera ? It like professional .
fostet
It was really good, but, when death came on I lost it. The laugh was amazing
This was pretty amazing. 7.5/10
AWESOME, I'M SHARING THIS EVERYWHERE!
Since when wizards have started wearing muggle clothing.Btw I am not a hater I love hp fan films
Very well done. Really felt like something Rowling would have done herself. 5 stars out of 5 :)
***** Then why would you have said it's something Rowling would have done?
Tartarus 13 Because, to me, it is? It feels like Rowling to me, in a good way. I can see her writing this.
***** It's based off her book........ She did write this.
she was probably thinking, how this dude expect me to eat this soup on a plate with a fork..
He was reading the story about the pot!
It's kind of stupid to have them so upset about there being a river when they're obviously wizards...
Yah they could. Prob just do Fieynd Fire and evaporate the water
we can only hear half the speech 😔
Why do wizards wear muggle clothes?
So they blend in....?
KalokerinesDiakopes1 This occurred before wizards separated themselves from muggle society, so they probably just wore the same things.
I thought it was Ignotus' son who appeared, since Cadmus got the stone, Antioch got the wand and Ignotus got the cloak.
Whats little weezy doing as Death
2:01 Lord Sideous is that you?
THIS IS AMAZING! Oh, and Emma Watson did this as Hermione in the Deathly Hallows.
You couldnt even build a friggin bridge?!
The best part was the actor playing the youngest brother. The credit's says Cadmus' son, but it's Ignotus' son. And maybe the youngest brother should have word a grey/white beard and to look old in his death scene
this is well made, i like it
I got through the straight "winding" road and the treacherous "river" that I could have jumped over but when "Death" appeared I couldn't take it any more.
one does not simply say I am death.
grim reaper meets groot
The guy who played death is amazing he will also give me nightmares for weeks
All the jokes about the bad acting... I can't 😂😂😂
the only problem I have is with how death is portrayed
I thought Death was the best portrayal of the lot, especially the way in which he gestured with his hands.
You couldn't expect DEATH to come over as a normal individual, surely?
So impressed that you managed to get Emma Watson to do your narrative. Mind you your version of the Three Brothers is brilliant. Love this film.
Loved this!!!
Honestly how did the death guy just pull out an ahmethist like it was nothing
11:27 is Death Missing His Ring Finger
It was amazing to watch!
The wand had the tag on it😂
It's not a day it's part of the design. It have ancient Runes on it of something
Im so happy Death didn't get his own background music.
Amazing. Loved it.
lol i love it when one of them yelled NOOOOO!
this was awsome
Funny how the story says that death reluctantly (sorry if it is spelled wrong) gave the third brother the cloak, but in the film he just takes it out and gives it to him like nothing. Kinda like the Dumbledore scene in Goblet of fire. Anyway's good adaption.
GREAT STORY SO REALISTIC
1:29 What was the name of the spell used here?
I thought it was fine. Pretty well done and right on track. People just find it trendy to hate on things now. Even though I can guarantee non of them would have done any better.
The resurection stone is supposed to be identical to any other stone, that is why Harry lost it in the last book. Also the spell is Avada Kedavra not Avada Kedavro, plus it's essince is supposed to be green, not a purplish pink.
this was amazing!
Now this is a good reenactment of the greatest story ever told in the wizarding world. Though I think you got some of the names mixed up.
Thanks for sharing your project. I think more focus on the costumes would have yielded better results but this was well made never-the-less.
Lovely ... but the acting and cinematography leaves a fair bit to be desired.
6:21 LOL Ollivandor didnt exist back then xD
Actually, the Ollivander family went back to 382 B.C.
