My main is exactly the Burst Pro. The shape is amazing. For me much better then viper, gpw, xm1. I see the raised side walls ass positive, because u dont pinch your ring finger on main 2 press. I have zero problem with it. Whenever I try one of my other mice, I just got impressed how much accurate my shots are with the burst pro. I achieved much higher kovaak scores with it ... by far.
I have this mouse and love it. Its so light and the cord catches on nothing. Never had this problem of catching my fingers on the outside lip though, luckily.
Techne you should do a re-review of some old mice. Like the G502 or G703, Just label it like The G502 in 2021 or something. Since new mice released there would be a lot to compare and overall would just be a great review

I found your channel recently and the content has been great! I've seen a lot of channels just focus on the specs of mice, so it's really nice to see a channel talking about how the mouse actually preforms. I don't use it anymore because it broke, but the logitech mx master has been my favorite mouse because of its shape. It's obviously not great for gaming, so that's another reason I don't use it. If they made an updated version with a slightly modified shape (a bit smaller), I would definitely get it. I recently bought the model O, but the right mouse button has been squeaking, the side buttons oddly stiff, and the shell bends almost all the way inward when I press on the sides, so I'm thinking of returning it. I really like the glorious mouse, but their quality control is sadly atrocious. From what you've said, the roccat burst core seems really promising, so thank you so much for giving us all a chance to get it for free!
I've had mine since they released it, i absolutely love it. Bought one on sale to have as a back up. Amazing mouse, optical switches are a game changer. I have the Vulcan TKL too.
Just got my roccat burst pro because of this video (ordered it 2 days ago and even then the wait was horrible! i was so excited) and a blackshark v2 pro! as a glasses wearer I gotta say I've never had a more STINKIN COZY headset in my life. and as a small hands owner the roccat burst pro fits PERFECTLY in my hand this is the first non razer mouse ive owned and im very happy with it! and with the blacksharks ive had bad experiences with razer headsets, I owned a few razer krakens that ended up falling apart, i bought the jet steel aluminum kraken headphones and they were AMAZING but the ear cups shredded apart so easily. then I owned 2 man o wars that just were not built for quality lasting the headband snapped both times even with gentle use so I was wary of the blacksharks and im just BLOWN AWAY. thank you for being the best reviewer on this site! glad I took your word for these products
I think this "Last Impressions" branding is really smart, it's smart in a way so that viewers could know how the product holds up after a more lengthy time of use instead of 2 weeks of use. I wanna try get a Roccat mouse to get into mice but I can't find any of them. I currently have some other alternatives that are avaible so I'll wait until I've got the money. I feel the exact same way about the burst pro. Shape is fucking incredible but the noisy clicks and the side walls drove me nuts. If Roccat makes a burst pro v2 and fixes these issues, it will for sure be my main mouse.
Thanks for your reply Techne. Yeah, I was wrong on that, maybe the MSI Cutch GM41 is closer to the Zowie FK1+ in size. Hoping you have a chance to review it because its such a large symetrical mouse and yet so ultra light. I usually check your reviews first before buying because you like the fit of some of the larger mice that work well with the claw grip. The GM41 really seems unique in being a big mouse (130mm long) and being so light. Maybe like a long XM1? I dunno, I'll look for your review.
I love this "Last Impressions" series, (I'm late to this review, but it's great otherwise, lol)! And if I had to pick one of my favorite mice to use, it would be between my current Logitech G604 and the Razer Deathadder V2. I like the ergo style and feel of both of these mice, but the slant and overall feel of the Logitech is my go-to.

Techne says he loves that Zowie ZA12 mouse, I wish he would do a review of the new MSI Clutch GM41 ultralight mouse, which is kind of a clone on the ZA12 (or maybe the ZA11 w/ a lower hump), but only weighs 65grams. Techne is the reviewer I know that does "off brand" reviews of mice & other peripherals. I guess "RocketJumpNinja" an MSI mouse review to be "beneath him", no matter how good the mouse might be. Been using the Roccat Kova for a few years now - ready for a change! Right with what you said - I pull the mouse into my palm and the kova only contacts my right side. Need more of a bump
Have been a Roccat person for the last 11 years. So far haven't really been disappointed. I am using my first Roccat keyboard - Ryos MK and it's still going strong! Did have some scroll issues on my original Kone Pure and Kova 2016 model. Got a Kain 100 AIMO just to try it out except it didn't really last that long since it was a second hand mouse. Scroll messed up and broke from the inside 😭 but damn, the titan-clicks are amazingly something else. It feels so damn good! Looking forward to getting a Burst Pro now!
Me too for quite some years. But had some problems down the line. Left mouse button of my Roccat Leadr broke 3 time (glued it twice) due to a design issue / poor plastics being used, or a combination. On my Kone XP the left mouse button got stuck suddenly after a few months (the switch underneath was just stuck in a pressed in position). Amazon replaced it and doing fine ever since. And a few days ago i bought the Kone XP Air (wireless version), as the price of the black version came down a lot (from 170 to around 100 euro's). And.. i do still have a Tyon in the box (it's a wired version of the Leadr, used it as spare a few times). And... couple of different Roccat mouse pads, using the Senso AIMO Wide now.
roccat mice are soooo good, I recently borrowed a 120 aimo from my friend and i loved it, and saying roccat mice are good is an understatement. Roccat vulcan series keyboard lineup is also very good.
Personally prefer mice with high side walls for ring finger placement. Without it the grip is constrained to sit below the mouse button, but a wall enables higher grip if needed. Current favorite is HyperX Haste, and waiting for an ergo mouse with similar click, dimensions,
I use a Roccat Kain Aimo RGB mouse, and it's the best most durable mouse I've ever had. Roccat's stuff, for me anyway, is by far the most durable and thickest/strongest I've seen. Good for bigger hands and also has a good weight and grip.
My current favorite mouse right now that I'm trying is this one I recently just got called Delux m800 wireless that I got for about 37USD on aliexpress. It's basically a clone shape of the Razer Viper Mini only it's a different size being in between the Viper Mini and the regular Viper. It also weighs about 70grams and is very solid and comes kailh GM 4.0 clicks that feel really tactile and crispy. I'm very impressed how good it is epically for the price.
My current favorite is the Basilisk Ultimate. Aside from the poor battery life, I'm lovin' this thing. For more competitive gaming, though, I've been enjoying the GPX Superlight and Viper Ultimate.
Finally arrived yesterday and had to put my Razer Ourobouros to rest . So far it’s good it does feel ALOOOTTTT lighter than the ourobourous but also fees a lot cheaper.
My main is exactly Roccat burst core (so not for the giveaway here). Like its shape, the LMB and RMB click sound is ok with me, don’t have the (personal preference) issue as Technie mentioned. The core version does not have a soft cable so a bungee is recommended. Overall a great mouse. The only thing I hope they can improve is the side grip pattern, it “feel” slippery although it actually does not. So I am getting a mouse grip to put on to

My current main is the Pwnage Ultra Custom Symmetrical. It's got the S2 shape, my favourite shape and it's wireless so it's got everything I love for a mouse
Not to discourage some people if you have or are planning on buying this mouse,but some people are getting problems with the stock cord,it starts to disconnect randomly from time to time,I personally got the problem I thought it was a software issue but no it was the cord,I went to Reddit and other forums and found out that some people were getting the same problems it is a few percentage but there is a possibility you get this problem,I still recommend the mouse because it is a really good mouse but just wanted to point this out.(Techne please try this mouse without paracording it for a month or two I really want to see if you get the issue)
I would buy a mouse with both optical switches AND an optical wheel encoder. But the choices are almost non-existent. So, I have options only to buy a mouse with an optical wheel (usually Logitech) and mechanical buttons, that start misbehaving in a year or two, or a mouse with optical switches and a mechanical wheel, that wears out in a year or less. Sigh. What's the point bragging about the durability of optical switches if the scroll wheel fails so much sooner? Looking at steelseries prime and razer viper and deathadder v2.
I bought the burst pro but sadly had to refund it. The side buttons were amazing and the mouse felt great in my hand but after only 3 days using it the left click button got jammed and so when i pressed on it there was no click sensation making the mouse feel extremely horrible. Ive had my previous mouse for almost 2 years and never experienced anything like that.for that reason I dont recommend getting this mouse

I'm thinking the Burst Wireless may be before XM1 wireless. Endgame is too busy remaking the same mouse. Whatever is first though, although I think I prefer the XM1's shape and coating. Burst has a nicer scroll wheel though.
I loved the Burst Pro but ended up switching to the Xtrfy M42 which feels very similar to it but with a back more similar to the Hati-S. I do miss the awesome side buttons on the Burst Pro though, they were fantastic.
Do the xm1 and burst pro feel wider than model o? I like my mow but its too long for me and also a bit too wide so I've been looking to get something shorter than fk2, as wide as fk2 (wider is too wide, thinner gives me cramps) and also with a bit of a hump at the back because I'm just claw gripping.

I only have 2 mice and I’ve never used other mice but I have the Razer Mamba Wireless, and the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed. I’d say I like the basilisk better cause of the comfort.
I have the same problem with my grip. I broke my hand 2 years ago. my middle and ring finger tend to stick together and I always end up right clicking unintentionally. But I've been using the razer viper and unsure how I feel about it. I love the logitech g703 but I wish it was lighter.
Just purchase the mouse, and I think I am in the minority I really like the feel and sound of the clicks. I really love the shape, it is a nice upgrade from the Viper Mini.

my favorite mice is the benq zowie ZA13 and it’s also one of the only mouses ive really used

My favorite mouse is the Logitech G305 as I have used it for over a year and I love it so much
So why not tune the 1&2 buttons with lizard skin tape? Either pads to keep fingers on or guard rails to prevent contact with the frame

I only have 2 mice and I’ve never used other mice but I have the Razer Mamba Wireless, and the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed. I’d say I like the basilisk better cause of the comfort.

I have the same problem with my grip. I broke my hand 2 years ago. my middle and ring finger tend to stick together and I always end up right clicking unintentionally. But I've been using the razer viper and unsure how I feel about it. I love the logitech g703 but I wish it was lighter.
I can get the Pro for €37 or a Core for €20. What do you think?

Just purchase the mouse, and I think I am in the minority I really like the feel and sound of the clicks. I really love the shape, it is a nice upgrade from the Viper Mini.

Reason I boxed this mouse was the heavy clicks and lots of post and pre travel. The rest of the mouse is perfect, just the clicks arent
