  • Feed the Birds was written by Richard and Robert Sherman for the 1964 film Mary Poppins starring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. Richard Sherman passed away in May 2024. This piece is set around St Paul's London and a lady who sells bags of breadcrumbs to passers-by for "tuppence a bag". This is my arrangement of this (complete with the church bells and a little bit of "Mary Poppins "magic"). The organs featured here are 2 digital Cavaillé-Coll instruments - St Eucaire (manual 1), and St Ouen Rouen composite by Sam Sleath (manuals 2,3,4), a Robert Morton Theatre organ (manual 5), Barton Theatre organ (Manual 6) and an Ahlborn Galanti Classic Organ module (manual 2). In this piece, you get a feel of the symphonic and dynamic palette of the instrument that I've built. You can also see how I've created swell controls for the non-Hauptwerk instruments. I have not used the Estey reed organ or Yamaha keyboards in this recording. Best heard with a beefy sound system with subwoofer.

Thanks Taylor - There's a lot of voicing / blending, considering I'm harnessing so many different instruments together. You do a great job at this. Love your work.

Thank you Adam- that's very kind. I notice you life resorting old things, and might see my organ shell is a 100+year old Estey reed organ.

Love it. One of my favourite songs from all musical theatre.
