I used bowler x for drilling before and it was easy as you showed it.
Very good presentation I will have to look for your videos on positive access point and how to get the measurements.
If I send an existing ball, are the measurements kept on file for future orders? I couldn't find that info on the website.
Yes sir. We keep all measurements, pitches, spans, etc on file for future use. We also add notes on drill sheets for future reference if needed.
JR just started to discover your videos and I believe your local. Can we visit classic lanes and get a some advice and a ball drilled? We lost our shop when Bowling IQ closed. Like to get our specs down and start ordering from bowler X.
I subscribed because of this but even to Hawaii ?
Can you do just a Ball-IT? No Slug-IT?

I’m looking to do my own stuff
How much to drill?
If we were to send you a ball or 2 of something we use a lot and the conditions we bowl on, would you be able to make ball recommendations and layouts that would compliment the arsenal we already have? Also, for me personally being a no thumber, how does that come into play? For everyone else out there, just wondering if a video of a few shots Would also help? Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. Love watching your videos.
Absolutely! We have done this for many bowlers.
@@BowlerXcom Thank you for the information. I wasn't sure how common it was to drill a ball with just the 2 holes considering the rule hasn't come into play yet. Also another question that I haven't been able to receive an answer to is how deep do you have to put your thumb in the ball with it being legal? Just asking because I know a couple people who only put it in where only the top quarter of the thumb nail.
@@lilwedge9 , there is no "legal" minimum depth requirement as far as any of the gripping holes are concerned. The only concern is top weight, bottom weight and side weight requirements. As long as those are met, you may drill the thumb hole as shallow as you like.
@@BowlerXcom Thank you very much for that information. Love watching the videos although it's hard because it makes me wanna bowl.
$270.... how many people will pay that or go to their own local Proshop?
I've never had to charge anyone that high for any ball. The highest including taxes I've ever had to charge for a single ball was $250.
That included grips and slug.
If wasn't planning on drilling myself eventually I would. My proshop doesn't use specs at all so this would be a great way for me to get a properly drilled ball, he charges 225 for something like a nuclear cell, so and extra 50 dollars to get it done right and I get to stay at home sounds like a decent price to me.
Last year, My pro shop charged me $255 out the door, for ball, finger inserts, and switch grip.
@@sauronseyescream8394 In your situation, where your options are limited, this could be a good option.
Any other pro shops near you that could help you?
Not everyone has a reputable pro shop in their back yard. May be worth it for some.
@bowlerx.com is there a slight discount in custom drilling if you are two handed and therefore don't need a thumb hole?
I had the same question, is it essential to have a thumb hole
Darren, at this time there is not.
@@garrisontaladay2003 Garrison, a thumb hole is not required. You can add a note when placing your order to let us know that you do not require/want a thumb hole drilled in the ball.
Great idea
Top weight doesnt matter lol
