Thank you Mr. Alexander for your knowledge and understanding I am new to this as an artist and would like to work with great producer such as yourself, in a studio (Off the cuff) pro-bono, of course since I am a starving artist!
I think the emphasis on seeking out a “producer” to make your music for you is disempowering. I find it so strange that a “producer” tends to make the music and then an “artist” simply sings a melodic/lyrical idea over it. The way I see it, an artist makes their art from the raw materials at their disposal... they don’t hire another artist to make it for them. Simple as that...
Valuable knowledge for the artist desiring to collaborate with a producer. True class.
So knowledgeable, thanks for the advice!
Very helpful conversation to listen to.
Again, more great advice here! I love hearing his experiential knowledge about the business side of music, not just the creative side of music.
Great talk as always from Berklee... Prince Charle is top class audio industry professional... invaluable advice...

I think you do not understand what music production actually entails.
