Impressive how well the dogs listen to you from such a distance! Those of us not from Ayrshire appreciate your effort to help us understand. Thank you for sharing. 🏴🐑🐑😷👍🇺🇸
Don't change for us. I love the way you talk. It's hard to understand sometimes but we will pick it up and I love your enthusiasm. Always thumbs up.... Can't wait to see them lamb..
Just found ya through Sandi’s vlogs. I’m so excited to watch all your vids up to the present. My two favorite things in the world, all things Scotland and sheep. Yay! And you can speak Scott’s as deep as you like. It lovely. ☺️
Love seeing and hearing all about your life in Scotland Cammy! My people came from Scotland and Ireland. This is all new to me and I love it. Your voice is music to my ears. Be comfortable with who you are. My accent would drive you nuts. Appalachian all the way. And that Barbra, what a hardhead!
I watch you usually on my Ipad2 with a headset but, as I told a pal of mine the other day, as an Englishman, I only manage to catch about 30% of what you are saying. Part of it is definitely the speed but the major chunk is your beautiful Ayrshire accent, which I do not question at all, being North Yorkshire born who finds local accents the best. I am pretty good at locating accents but yours is too raw for sure. Anyway I was on my desktop ( with a great sound system with sub woofers) this afternoon when I switched to you recent video. To my big surprise I thought that my great sound system was responsible but no it was you adjusting your accent so that now I can almost understand 100% without to much straining ( I am 77 years old and the senses are slipping). I think that this effort by you is very smart. I would eventually have commented but someone beat me to it and for that I am grateful, especially as your sheep channel is awesome. Dale Farm with Joanna is my other one. To make sure your audience , if you want a larger one, can comprehend you without sacrificing your regionalism will go a long way to building a bigger audience (and make you some money). Especially appealing is you explaining what certain Ayrshire words mean in English. I think that besides your very talented sheep rearing skills that you are about to see a resurgence of people signing on. Good luck, I shall spread the word. BTW I'm the one who sent you the Silly Wizard / Andy Stewart songs. I have a big Celtic collection on LP. After all I am 30% Irish/ Celtic anyway !!
Hi James. Thanks very much for the feedback!! I must admit I slipped a bit in my recent video and went back to my thick Ayrshire dialect. Head was distracted with my ewes aborting! I will focus on this in future videos and make myself more clear! Thanks for watching and keep the feedback coming!!
I ask why you don't sheer before lambing like we do in the states? They take up way less room before lambing and a lot less humidity in the shed. I live in a cold state where temps are often 0 degrees Fahrenheit or colder and they do well.
You already speak plenty clear. Your language, the Scots language is like a hearth fire, it's half of why I'm here. Not understanding is THEIR problem not yours. You'd never ask that of someone with a really thick South of England accent, regardless of how ridiculous.
Screw you Stewart....only thinking of yourself. ...It had nothing to do with snotty nosed English vs Scottish but strived for better comprehension. My comments were respectful and founded in good reason . Today’s video only partially comprehended.
This VLOG is 2 years old, where has it been, better yet, where have you been? I just found you less than a year ago! By the by your hair is fabulously PERFECT and you look TERRIFIC!! This is the haircut that I have been talking about! What style does Lizzy prefer? 05/18/22 3:22pm PDT
Please keep your speech as it is. Should you change someone genius will complain about your hairdo or manicure. The photography and editing keep your videos flowing. Several years ago I was "babysitting" public school teenagers when one of the lovelies said, "Mrs. ____, Dibby give me the grain fanger." It translated into, "Debby made a rude gesture with her middle finger". When you were in the shed I heard Barbara whispering to Eunice "As soon as that four-legged fatherless beast leaves let's rush the tall two-legger and bite his ankles." Best to you.
Never, EVER, change the way you speak, just for other people! It's a whole entity and shouldn't be allowed to die out! If people can't understand you, I'm sure they can follow along with the video.
There's nothing wrong with your accent I can make you out perfectly besides if you speak to the dogs all posh they'll not have a clue what your saying lol
when i sub a new channel i go way way back and watch last years lambing season, will see if u improved or are going backwards. in all honesty i believe your in it for the money, since no place on earth have cops who have a hair job like yours. that part of your story is bs. prove me wrong?
My brother in law spoke to his dog in Scottish. We all had to try to mimic the accent for the dog to understanding. It was hilarious, if we got the accent 'close' the dog would sit /come / go outside etc . If we were having difficulties with the accent the dog would just look at us. Bewildered. This was in New Zealand many years ago. 😂
Don't change for us. I love the way you talk. It's hard to understand sometimes but we will pick it up and I love your enthusiasm. Always thumbs up.... Can't wait to see them lamb..
Your voice is perfectly clear - NEVER lose your accent! 😊😊😊
The 2 cheeky ones on off on the truck was funny.
Please don't worry about changing the way you speak. Its part of you & is awesome. I love your accent.
Thanks Alice, I do my best to help everyone understand.
You speak fine to me. I like hearing actual Scots language, especially when you put the caption of the word and what it means on the screen
Glad you are enjoying the accent Linda!

Thanks Randolph. I'm hopefully speaking clearer in my more recent videos!
Thank you so much for the video! I have always wondered how a multi-level sheep lorry is loaded. I really like the way you talk. Never change.
Thank u 🥰
I agree with Kyle Harmon. I love the way you talk too. Snd I have just listened a couple of times to make sure I “ got it”.
Thanks Cindy!
Don't change for us. I love the way you talk. It's hard to understand sometimes but we will pick it up and I love your enthusiasm. Always thumbs up.... Can't wait to see them lamb..
I'm understanding you without slowing the video down now. I love your accent! Great information, as always.
Just found ya through Sandi’s vlogs. I’m so excited to watch all your vids up to the present. My two favorite things in the world, all things Scotland and sheep. Yay! And you can speak Scott’s as deep as you like. It lovely. ☺️
Yes sometimes it’s hard to understand. But please do not change your way of speaking for us. I love the accent.
Hi Catherine, thanks for the comment! I'll try and find a happy balance between Ayrshire and English!!
LOVE your videos and your dialect. Don’t change anything. 🙂
I love watching your sheep run the road. I don't know why. Just do. ;)
Barbara was one stubborn sheep!
Those stone hand laid fences are amazing 👍🏽👍🏽🌹
The more I listen the better I understand.
I like that sheep hauler. Pretty ingenious
Thanks Linda, keeps it efficient if moving large numbers of sheep.
Those ewes are in tremendous condition, especially after the winter we've had! Credit to you
Don’t change your speech, it’s an important part of the charm of the podcasts
I'll try and balance it enough so that everyone can understand better but so you still know I'm from scotland 👍
Wow your beginning 🎉 you were cool and you are still cool 😊
Don't change how you speak be proud of your scottish accent
Thanks for the feedback Karen! I'm very proud don't worry i'd just like everyone to understand me lol
I'm from Phoenix Arizona USA . REALLY ENJOY your videos. Have a great day.
Legend Chris thanks for leaving a comment!!!
it took me many vids to realize you were saying “lie down”. Thought you were saying “langdon” But I like your accent so much!
😂😂 amazing, at least you know now! Thanks for for watching.
OMG! I thought the same thing Deerheart!
lol, Barbara!!!
Dont change ur accent. I love hearing different ones, if u change it , u just blend into the background.
Thanks Gerldine. I like it too but got to try and appeal to a wider audience😁

I am not given up trying to understand you Love the videos.. granny90

Yeah it's just a different way of doing things Ryan. I've got mates in Utah shearing just now!
You already speak plenty clear. Your language, the Scots language is like a hearth fire, it's half of why I'm here.
Not understanding is THEIR problem not yours. You'd never ask that of someone with a really thick South of England accent, regardless of how ridiculous.
Don't worry about speaking proper English,I can understand your Scots just fine.
But most from 'away' cannot and if he is to make money, he is doing the right thing.
Thanks Kelvin. I'm just trying to find the balance. Appreciate the feedback!
Screw you Stewart....only thinking of yourself. ...It had nothing to do with snotty nosed English vs Scottish but strived for better comprehension. My comments were respectful and founded in good reason . Today’s video only partially comprehended.
😂 I keep laughing when you say doon only thing I know is aye because I’m Irish
😁 i’m working on my proper English so everyone can understand me😁
Question- do the wool brokers have an issue with the paint marks on the fleece?
No. It will be well faded by clipping time and in reality, the wool is worth so little anyway it doesn't really matter if they did have an issue!
the dog is amazing. is that a different language to speak to him/her in?
I just make her look good for camera 😁. I speak to her with a very Scottish accent which is how i would normally speak if i wasn’t on camera. 😄
@@TheSheepGame Cammy I must be listening too much. I almost think youre talking to me when you give Meg an order! 🤗

Just picked this up scrolling. Just be yourself, I'd rather hear your honest Scots than some dreary, boring home counties drivel.
Divent change yer accent dog won’t understand if you do😂
Got a good laugh at that John haha

Hi Kyle! Thanks for the comment!! I'll try and find a balance between my Ayrshire dialect and the Queen's English =D Thanks for watching!
