His brother and another guy did it, my cousin took the charge because my great aunt (their grandmother) and their aunts and momma were telling him to take it because he had mental disabilities so he wouldn't get a lot of time. After they gave him life, he tried to tell the truth but it was too late. They threw one brother away for the other and I'll never get over that.
For those wondering, I just did some research, Sterling Matthews, the man serving the life sentence for the murder he did NOT commit, has still yet to be release from prison, but a statement from his attorney from January stated that they were hopeful that they would see a release date sometime in March or April. I found no follow up so I assume he is still incarcerated

Our children are growing up in some really tough circumstances. The homes ( not all) are ruthless, lack compassion, empathy, nurturing, and many other emotional intelligence qualities. I pray every day for our people.
