Imagine being an international observer and seeing 2:09 with the Coldstream Guards in the background and everyone in the street cheering, what a sight to behold!
Not with today's batch of far left student activists in charge. The promise of a centrist like Blair before he became bliar was what made it a landslide
@@samuelbrooks1533 Not quite, this was a closer battle than people thought, I was 13 so I remember it well enough. I saw John Major laughing and joking and, Blair sweating all over the place, he looked daft. Then Major still ended up with a lot more seats than Sunak has now.
I was a Labour party branch treasurer back then,I worked in Stirling against Forsyth ,the feeling of elation when he lost was for me euphoria.. Heady days ...,
If only we could have another election like this…
Coming up soon.
Not long now.
Only a few hours now mate
@@ronan7934 if the polls are right then it should be, I’m still crapping it though!!

Coming back to this on October 17th or November 14th 2024 to celebrate
Edit: 4th July it is 😂
I suppose you weren't betting on July the Fifth?
@@bumlinsnope but a good surprise anyway
I can’t believe this was over 27 years ago. What an exciting night that was.
Best elections ever glory to labour and Tony Blair
Hopefully a labour victory will one day happen maybe even better than this🌹🌹🌹

@@scp_sixtynine4203 I am a centre left labour socialist but I know a member of the communist party
Unfortunately, it very likely won't happen with someone like Starmer in charge
@@toni8468 now labour has a 6 point lead over the tories
@@toni8468 Now a 33 point lead .labour will win the next election.
And just like that, it happened again
