- Here is a quickie but a goody! I thought it would be fun to talk to you a little more in detail about some of my favorite succulents. I'll be doing these every once in awhile throughout the weeks moving forward. What succulents do you want to hear me talk about next?
What a cool and weird looking Euphorbia, I LOVE all the weird and wacky ones haha, thanks so much for sharing Laura, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Sunday XXXX
Love that crest! Such an amazing succulent! 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵
Beautiful plants 🌵 you really do care for them.Happy planting.
Thanks a million there's not many videos on this beauty
Today was not a very good day and I was thinking all day if you would upload a video to improve my day. THANK YOU hehehe
same allergies...
Me too.......I think watching Laura every day is becoming an addiction! Lol! xx
My Topsy Turvy Echeveria crested. I had no idea what had actually happened until I started watching your channel 😁 Thank you, I have learnt so much in such a short period of time.
I love the weirdos too🤪💚
So cool. I’m getting one tomorrow from another local. Can’t wait!
I love the weirdos😀🌵
Wow i love weird looking ones like something out of the dinosur age lol
I only have 2crests. One cubic frost, one sedum. Great plants!
Great video i get a sewing needle and poke the growth point of cacti to make them crest outward
I’ll have to find some part shade in my Inland Empire garden. Nice suggestion.
I have one of the yellow crested cactus like you showed us in this video in the orange Susan Aach pot, but I don't know the name of it. Do you know the name of it by chance? I am excited to learn I have a crested cactus and would love to research it if I just had the name.
Laura, it's still mid nineties here in Central california. Would it be safe to plant cactus at this point? (Waiting till fall to plant succulents) Or should i wait on the cacti too? Dying to get started on my empty yard.. thanks!
Yes, it's Like something under the sea
Google Photos classified some of my succulent pics as "coral reef"... :)
I also love them. I am a South African, and love my weirdo cacti and succulents. I want to ask you about alluaudia process. I have one long stem and want it to became a multiple one. Do I cut of the top?
Alluaudia procera
Cut where you’d like to see branching. It will occur directly under the cut.
My late husband left one for me to care for it. It’s still alive and beautiful.
I am assuming the P65 warning at the bottom of the label on the pot is for the plastic content of the pot, not the plant itself...correct?
Yes. 😊
Who said a plant with a “disability “ isn’t beautiful 🥰🌹❤️
🖤
Do these type of succulents produce flowers?
Such a great question!! I’ve never seen a flower on any of mine🧐
My understanding is that when crest develop early in a plant’s life it will not form a viable reproductive system. Crest that form on older normal plants don’t seem to prevent flowering. Most crested plants sold commercially will not flower because they have been cultivated as crest from the start and aren’t older nursery stock that has crested spontaneously.
Bonus.....this Euphorbia ammak won’t grow thirty feet tall and eat your house! 😉
A good article on crest, etc., is on the Dave’s Garden website titled ‘Cristate and Monster Succulents ‘.
Thanks! I’ll check it out!
