Hi I thought I would get back to you since you did make an effort to help out, least I can do. It may also be useful for your customers. You may recall I contacted you last week concerning my SatNav/radio screen. Well after trying the battery disconnect which didn't work we actual by chance didn't drive it for three days. When starting up the next time. Lo and behold! everything worked normal again. No Idea what the issue could have been, perhaps a circuit that was overloaded (static electricity)? Anyway thanks for your support.
Sometimes the electrical systems just completely reboot and then start-up in a more correct fashion so the main thing is you are sorted and thank you very much for letting me know🙂
Roof rails are the silver rails that go from front to rear , roof bars go from left to right and can be purchased as an accessory 🙂

Hi Brian, iHope you can help? we have a i40 2015 facelift vs. After our battery crapped out the display of the Radio/Satnav is only a bunch of vertical stripes. Can this be reset/fixed? and how I could not find any type of reset if there is one. I would be very grateful for your help, thx
Couple of questions, is the radio actually working, even if the display doesn’t, can you still hear radio stations from using your steering wheel controls? Secondly, have you tried to disconnect the battery leave it for 30 minutes and reconnect the battery again, sometimes the radio can come good after this, but it’s a bit of a longshot.
@@doolanbrian - Radio works and channels can be changed from the stearing wheel, also on the radio. But just can't see what your doing😁I haven't tried the battery yet. I'll let you know if it works.
@@maxsmith3894 okay, so the unit is working so it’s a display related issue, definitely try the disconnect and let me know
Hi Brian, the battery fix didn't work. But thanks for the help. However if you have any other ideas or know someone who could fix this/repair the sceeen Pls let me know. Buy the way the touch function still works! although you can't see what you're selecting.
@@maxsmith3894 that didn’t help. Okay. There is some sort of board within the radio probably damaged. The next thing is to either find an auto electrician who is able to fix the radio. But if it was me a decision, I would just try and find a replacement from eBay or a car dismantler.🫡
