OMG, I’m not the only one who ships these two dorks!!! I have to say, if it weren’t for Rufus though, I couldn’t care less about Lord M... but Rufus brought such a charm in him. Btw, anyone realised the strange coincidence of having the city of Melbourne as the capital of the State of Victoria in Australia?

Beautiful. But it's hurt to watch and know that they don't end up together. 😭 ( I know in real life Queen Victoria adored Albert but this isn't real life and Lord Melbourne and The Queens chemistry/connection in the show is just so beautiful.)
I was doing some research on these two, and surprisingly, there’s a TON of indications that these two loved each other. Lord M cried at Victoria’s coronation, was known to kiss her hand on impulse, always sat at Victoria’s side at dinner, and eyewitnesses day that at her coronation, he bowed to the Queen, gripped her hand passionately, and kissed it. She returned his passionate hold on her hand and smiled at him. Victoria sobbed when Lord M was forced to leave his position as PM, was known to draw his picture on scraps of paper, followed him with her eyes anytime he walked about the room, and became extremely jealous when he spent any long period of time with another woman. they spent at least six hours a day together... then Albert came and lord M stepped aside so that Victoria could marry him without hesitation...
He was absolutely the best choice for this role.

Yes, Rufus Sewell has these adorable little quitks that are at once sexy and eccentric. Waiting patiently to hear when Man in the High Castle S3 drops! He was the show for me so I've moved on fdm Victoria. Trying to find him in ZEN formerly on BBC One. MY GOD HE IS MAGNIFICENT! THOSE CHEEKBONES ARE JUST...WOWW!!! VOICE makes you melt and he is built like a REAL MAN! Whew....

Thank you for your comment. I'm not very good at English either, but I'll try to write. At first the series showed that Queen Victoria really liked Lord M. He supported her decisions, gave her advice, he also became her friend. But because of circumstances, of course, she could not be with him, and then Prince Albert appeared on the show and she fell in love with him. Then, as we know from history, she married him, and a few years later Lord M resigned and lived on his estate.
(in the third season, if I remember correctly, Victoria was informed of the death of Lord M )
