Market harborough's are fantastic my horse has had many problems with bucking and rearing and with some simple training not only using that training equipment but many others has really helped her become calm and willing to do so many things and for a 5 year old thoroughbred it was a life saver. :)
I remember the quote 'a razor in the hands of a monkey' ... you will know it John if you have read the literature (which I am sure you have). So thats the issue with all gimmicks and 'set ups' that give the rider leverage. The conundrum being the experienced rider can achieve the result without it (albeit a longer journey) and the inexperienced who lack the feel to know when to close the hand and when to release (thus not ready to 'make' any horses mouth) are not ready for it. Your podcasts are excellent and your practical advice is golden. The horses I have seen that you have been schooling would be a pleasure to sit on ...
I have bought a german Martingale from Mr HP its worth every cent the quality is unbelivable. Im so happy with it...nothing like the rubbish you buy from the "horse Stores". You also get information with the martingale....Highly recomended
@horseproblems Aww dang. I don't plan on riding any buckers anytime soon. Once I do start looking for a horse, I'll be looking for a beginner friendly kid packer. :)
