Oh Dave...😞. You made the right choice in saying farewell. His voice is one of many voices of my childhood (and this song especially gave me so many goosebumps back then) and it's always a treat to see this legends do what they love long into their golden years. He looks great but man, this was tough to listen to. When you've already significantly transposed a song down from it's original key and struggle with notes regardless of how high or low they land on the scale, it's time to accept that you've had a great run and take your last bow. It's so crazy. All of the different members, drummers specifically, when you listen to Whitesnake you know when it's Tommy behind the kit and when it's not. He's got such a feel and sound to his drumming that separates him from any other drummers Whitesnake has had over the years
He and Reb are the two guitarists for Whitesnake. Reb was out this night. If you saw Night Ranger in the early 2010's you saw Joel. Or if you have seen Trans Siberian Orchestra in the East you have seen Joel. I first met him on the Monsters of Rock Cruise in 2012 when he approached ME because of the "Triumph Allied Forces" T-Shirt I was wearing. We talked for half an hour. He is THE nicest guy in Rock and Roll. That smile never leaves his face.

David Coverdale & Jimmy Page made this album together in the 90's called Coverdale and Page. The most Underrated Album. if you love Coverdale and Jimmy Page please I beg you get this album it's phenomenal.
It went down because in 1994 all was about grunge. Which is a pity, as it’s a great album. And David was still at his prime and was doing the Zeppelin songs live with Jimmy more than justice. There is some live footage from Japan here on UA-cam.
He's not losing it, it's barely hanging on by a thread. That is not a shot at him, because he is one of my favorite vocalists in the genre. Nothing will take away how great his voice was and what it and his music meant to Rock & Roll history, but he's struggling with the lowest of notes and the key has been transposed probably as low as they could play it without it sounding ridiculous. Every gift runs its course. It's rather soon for him, but it's like that sometimes. Long Live Dave!
