I like the "Castlevania-core" description of it lol. Some of their stuff reminds me a lot of Michiru Yamane (especially the track Cry for the Black Sun off Ultimate Instinct). Perhaps that's one reason I like them so much.
I know this video is a year old, but just noticed it on my recommendation, I never heard of this band but now I’m hooked! Right now I own “an Anatomy of the Beast” , definitely gonna check out their other albums ! 😎🔥
Yeah, they're pretty much my favorite death metal band and have been for over a decade. You wouldn't expect a band with such a weird name to be that good
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 I agree with you on the name lol. I got to check out more death metal from Japan, I only own TRANSGRESSOR -“Ether For Scapegoat” 💿 but that’s about it.
Another awesome episode, you've read my mind, I was hoping you'd do a review of this band. Ultimate Instinct is my favorite from them, Agony in the Stone Chamber and Longing For Birth in particular \../
I know this is an older episode but I wanna say that your channel is an absolute gem when it comes to music and entertainment many of your videos have helped me greatly when it comes to song writing. Is there a way to contact you personally, like through email and stuff? And oh yeah IB is definitely one of my favotite death metal bands, they remind me Dismember and Vader but sad and emotional.
2 Guitars/vocalist..think you missed that if I'm not mistaken its 2 vocalist that play guitar. And its melodic death. Love this band, thanks for the video. Grew up with them around your age too..skateboarding to this was my outlet.
I first ran across the name Intestine Baalism in the thank-you notes of a Sabbat CD back in the 90s (Karisma, I believe), and it took me many years to track down their first album. Japanese bands have always displayed an affection for old-school heavy metal, which if you're going to reference anything in your music, it might as well be that!
I was introduced to Intestine Baalism by Wyattxhim and holy shit I was instantly hooked. Those guys are incredible and I can totally understand why their masterpieces shouldn't be called melodic death metal even though they're melodic af. by the way, what's the song in the outro? I try to recall but it's been a week lol love your perfect K-ontent
Those guys rule. About the Malmsteen influence, me and a friend always joke about how he's seen as a god in Japan. When some japanese tourists took a picture of him I joked that they probably just thought that he was Malmsteen and got all excited.
Great video! Intestine Baalism is also my favorite band of all time. If you love Intestine Baalism, give my band a listen. We're sort of like a cross between Intestine Baalism/Deicide meets Sacramentum/Unanimated. UA-cam search: Psychiatric Regurgitation - "Crown of nails" or "Serpent aeon". Cheers!
Blasphemy Resurrected into A Place Their Gods Left Behind is the best transition in all of metal
I watched every episode in two days this is my favorite channel on youtube
Dude these videos are awesome you deserve many more than views than you get. You're miles above the majority of metal youtubers
Aww, thanks! I've been meaning to do something like this for years. I just finished the Godflesh episode but don't tell anyone it's a secret
@@radiofreeinnsmouth1337 don't worry about it dude your secret is safe. My lips are sealed and butthole glued shut
I consider these guys and Arghoslent the kings of melodic death metal. Excellent video.
I like them better than Arghoslent. These guys understand atmosphere and tension.
@@ganemrahman3424 also they are not nazi
@@metallumabyssus777 That's thumbs down but they are great next to Arghoslent of course
Wow, another random Arghoslent reference in a comment to a video referencing melodic death metal. What a surprise!
You are absolutely not wrong

My friend calles it Touhou like lol, I wonder if it's a writing convention in Japan in general
@@Intestine_Ballin-ism Definitely is; I hear similar notes all over Japanese music. I've mentioned b4 that it does sound like Touhou music as well...
Fuuuuuuck, that transition between Blasphemy resurrected and A place their gods left behind is too damn good
Recently listened to their "An Anatomy of the Beast". Easily in my top 5 death metal albums.
Great job man..... I feel as though you are playing bands from my collection . Keep up the excellent work .

Yup, I got the email down in the video description on the newer videos. Glad you like the channel!

This band is very good. Never got into them but they are good. I should get into them. This is amazing.
Amazingly hard to find. Wow, this kind of MDM rips! 👍
Such a beautiful album, great review

Same. After I heard them from wyattxhim I went and bought everything they had on Bandcamp.
the outro song is Necrophobic - Unholy Prophecies. It's on one of my playlists but didn't realize that til now.

Super Esoteric and Uber okkvlt. Let me know what you think.
Wheres the bus??
This band is god tier. Unfortunately they are not well known even for a melodic death metal band
Have you heard of Akercocke?
It's been quite a while since I listened to them, but yeah. DBLS 88 did a pretty good episode on Rape of the Bastard Nazarene a while back.
Fan of Akercocke but their last Album was disappointing 🤦🏻♂️
I'm a sucker for guitar solos and the one at 4:05 is so tasty
Intestine Baalism are great 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
You heard Kronos from France?
hey jiub sup

I'll look into that for sure, you had me at Intestine Baalism and Unanimated
It’s two different people doing the different vocal styles
Vomitory is best dm
I said it many times and I will repeat myself. This band shits on Gothenburg bands. Totally destroys them.
