This is exactly what I needed today. I got my first frontside a little while back and it was a big deal for me, I've been skating ledges and rails exclusively after eating it trying to touch coping on ramps. It took me a long time to get comfortable touching coping. I just avoided it completely and the assumption I would fall became a big mental hurdle. After watching this I know now to find some concrete to practice the motion on, and how to build towards that incrementally rather than guessing my own methods. I wish I had more bladers in my community to inspire and teach me but this is the next best thing. soon I'll have every part of the ramps in the bag. sending vibes from San Diego! 🌼
@@kristenmoon4405 oh man this was months ago, fun to look back at. I'm getting pretty talented at navigating transition now, and I have souls/mizu/FS/BS all in the pocket now regular & switch. I am student though with the privilege of skating like a part-time job
Thanks to this video I finally was able to backside stall on the big quarter pipes at the park. Before I was trying to get above the coping and kind of do a 180 pivot on top of the coping but I kept overshooting it. The tip about keeping your body inside the ramp was the key!
Love your form with your arms in front of you like a mantis. I've been trying it and found that my problem was that I was swinging my arms back and forth. I've got way more power. Thanks for these tutorials they are awesome. You are awesome.
Eu estava tentando fazer o backside ja faziam três meses, bastou assistir esse tutorial pra destravar. Dica crucial que você deu: "não deixe o corpo sair do mini ramp". Nunca ninguém tinha me explicado isso dessa forma. Thanks a Lot. Isaías from Brazil.
Biggest thing that I’m struggling with right now is trying to learn how to do the whole 180 pivot when going up the ramp. I keep falling in the worst way. Lmao. Thank you for your awesome videos. Welcome to our little corner of the world. ( I’m in SC )
Yes! One step at a time babyyy! It’s a feeling worth living. And breaking a sweat while pushing ourselves is a beautiful thing. Keep going- next stop, backside stall on the coping babbyyyyy wooooooooh! Also, thank you for sharing your experience with me. The story of your process is the most uplifting for me to read. We’re doin the thang! Let’s keep going until we can’t go anymore. Love, light, truth, strength!⚡️ One love🌱
I’ve been trying to learn this for soooo long!!!! Can’t wait to try it at the park this week! As a girl blader - you are such a sick role model love ya Coco
Great tutorial. You totally read my mind about boosting out of the ramp and using that 'safety foot' - I've been doing it now for five years 🤷🏻♂️😅. Getting low and bending the knees properly looks and feels like it could be key. Hoping with your help it won't be another five years till I get backside stall.
Never thought about doing that on a pyramid without coupling. I have been doing front side stalls for over a year and I have commented on doing 180 to backside like that.
i was waiting for this video...that is all I need to improve myself on coping...I miss this stall, I'm literally petrified with BS on mini...thanks to u wild flower...I love u.
Hey you :) hey you... :* you really nice great aura and all things with you its really great thanks for that....:* I say hi from Czech republic i really need learn this....... Love you !! :) thx
Hey you from the other side! You’re so welcome and thank you for spreading compassion furthermore. I feel it. And I believe that you can learn it all. Take your time. All at the right time. One love brother🌱
Are you keeping your eyes on where your feet land on the coping? Or are you trusting that your feet placement will lock in when you turn? I feel like if I have to keep looking down at where my feet laying on the coping, that’s going to affect my bodies turning
How can we know which side to turn to? I've been working on turning to the right as my left foot is the one that leads but it's been very hard for me to land itttt
For some reason I can get this on a 2 foot quarter bank, but for some reason I can't quite get it on the 3 foot mini. I keep landing with one foot either side of the coping, parallel. I have videos of my attempts on my channel. Any advice?
Hi. Thank you for being here and sharing your process. Do you mean one of your feet aren’t stalling and landing BEHIND the coping? this means you arent committing to leaning inside the ramp. As you turn around 180, keep you body INSIDE the ramp. It sounds like you are hesitating and leaning back a tad bit too much. The higher we get on ramps, the more fear revolves in our heads. The higher you get on the ramp, “think” the stronger the commitment, okay? You’ve got it. I know you do. Trust your process. One love 🌱
@@flowersherolls1700 thanks so much fpr the reply, much appreciated! So, one foot on the deck and one on the ramp, both parallel to the coping. Like i'm doing a 90 instead of a 180. I think you are spot on, i'm not fully committing. I decided this week to go to a few different parks, to hit up some different size and shape banks. Really try to lock in that muscle memory before going back to the mini. Thanks for what you are doing, i appreciate you! One love! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
@@flowersherolls1700 i got so much closer today, not quite a stall but big progress. I was jumping to the coping rather than riding the transition up to the coping. This was sending my momentum out of the ramp and throwing my balance off. Feeling so good now after months of frustration. One love
Once again I am inspired to go out and hug the concrete and kiss it with my butt cheeks again and again until I can do this thing that apparently is only slightly harder then the easiest stall out there. Oh what's that winter is coming, oh thank god, I can barely sit at all.
Más videos así 🙏. Y alguno para prevenir lesiones. ? 😁🙏. Plis
So calm 🙏🙏 new in aggresive skating. Need this kind of aura while learning. Thanks 🙏
Coco you're really killing it with these! Well thought-out, lots of good tips and detail. And your audio sounds great now!
I've always had trouble with this. I never thought about trying it on a bank. Thank you!

Coco such amazing positivity and amazing skating instruction. Keep up with the positive vibes.
Love your honesty and free spirit even if I don't have the same views as yours. I'm a beginner at rollerblades, three weeks in. I love it.
Love how you combine mindfulness, wellness, and blading. 💜🤘

Magnifico!!
From all the fundamental stalls, a fakie-stall is most likely the hardest, i didn't even attempt it so far. backside stall almost down.
