BOSS GT-1000: amzn.to/2LKwaPQ
20 genres, 1 pedal, 3579 guitars
Nice specifity
Touche
🤣😂🤣😂
But you forgot melodic thrash jazz ambient core
How could you possibly forget the melodic thrash jazz ambient core??? That is the single most popular genre there ever was!
Doom country alternate new wave pop, played flamenco style
U fucking forgot smoke on the water everyonz knows the song itself is a genre
I really disappointed you didn't play alternative reggae alcoholic grunge
Payton Tomm
Phht..
That's SO two hours ago.. all the cool kids are now into reggae dub Scandinavian death pop.
;^)
Its cool to see that your putting all of your new guitars to work
5:09 The irony... using a "british" setting for Americana :D
saw the same thing lol
Americana using british accent
I love this video, and everything in it. That said, "Americana" is Shovels and Rope. Not really close here on that genre, but hey - still totally feeling the love for the skills and work put into this video. Want to be a critic? Give this a try :) Oh, and seriously - check out Shovels and Rope "Birmingham". Holy shit.
Noticed it too. lol
Hey, it works for me. I'm a Vox man, and I'm all American...
Cute
DØVYDAS ayyyy lmao, notice me sempai ;3
heh heh
Dovydas you’re the best!!!
Bruh.
nice to see you here master.
Cool video, no offense but that distortion sounded like a metal zone under a pillow
Brandon Patton that’s the classic boss amp sim tone right there.
Doom needed more *BASS* and *FUZZ*
Sincerely,
A Doom Metal Fan
Ishan Kumar pedal is just TERRİBLE. this is why it sucks
Yes! And maybe a riff that doesn't sound like shit. Also, get rid of the "i just shit my pants" face! Hahah! So stupid
Agreed no justice :(
Normal doom metal uses fuzz anyway like candlemass barely uses fuzz atleast in all the songs that I’ve heard of them
Pop rock is boneless funk
Well, he did tell the truth..
You right
Sounds like a boneless frusciante
metal is chubby rock
No, Funk is a type of rhythm oriented r&b/soul music with a strong feel for groove (yes, and a wah pedal is often present) , meanwhile pop rock is rock music with catchy hooks.
I really enjoyed the neo classical one
But...you forgot DJAZZ
(Rob Scallon Video)
Man that Country is some of your best playing! Amazing! Would you consider doing a lesson on stuff like that?
Great Video!
Cheers,Flo
Shoegaze sounded nothing like shoegaze
Captain Rigs I thought the same thing about the R&B
Maybe if we stack 20 of the GT-1000's it will
Thank you! Completely off!
Nowhere near enough distortion
Same with Indie rock
Oh come on! You should have used the same guitar for them all!!
Using British crunch to play Americana is totally ironic haha
My Favorites, out of all the styles you played in:
Funk
Jazz
Reggae
R&B
Disco
daaaamn that neoclassical tone was so lit
2:19 i understood that John Mayer reference
All those riffs got me to bob my head, but man oh man that Jazz got me to jump up n do Jazz Hands!
I always like boss multi effects.
I love and own Boss products, but I think they failed with this one.
Nicholas Da Ronch with some updates and 200uss less they will make it work in a few months
Now different genres using the same guitar
Don't get me wrong I quite like boss but half of these tones sound terrible
I like the classic rock the best
You're quite the versatile guy
Pedal has a million options but no soul.
He literally unboxed it and played through pre-sets... Listen to somebody who actually uses these pedals and know how to tweak them. Trust me, it's different.
Esteban Aguayo woosh bro
@@rubberband9570 sounds like your life kappa
helix line 6 twice as cheap and propably same quality
Esteban Aguayo r/woooosh
Sponsorship by boss, best gear 😍😍
So true.
Well... That didn't sound very good...
And I love you, your channel, your videos and I was a subscriber when you still were little btw... But that "pedal" is malo malo
Edit: but it's great, now I know what NOT to buy
Im so happy you have shoegaze on here
Jacey P. It didn't sound anything like shoegaze tho
Daniel Nuñez it had a more dream pop feel, but at least he tried
Jacey P. Yeah, I really didn't expect it haha
Jacey P. Fail :'(
Tyler, could you do a habits of Alexi Laiho?
YES!!!
drink all day all night
This!
This.
Yes, Yes, YEs, and more YES!!! U can't wait to get my hands on this pedal. Got the gt-1, saving up to get the 1000...
I'm so lucky I caught the sale yesterday.
Nothing beats a good tube amp
They're getting obsolete tbh
Shoegaze one is untrue, you need at least other 20 pedals :D
Music Pills it needed a fuzz imo
Man i really appreciate the hard work n quality in this, just amazing, and all ur axes are gorgeous n sound amazing
I loved that Framus, just bought a 2008 Framus Camarillo Custom and absolutely love it!
That Djent tone was perfect. He forgot the hat and glasses for jazz.
1:07 is my favorite
Love that disco at the end
Multi-effect pedal is epiccccccc you choose the right way tyler
😂😂dude the face you made during reggae was IT😭😭☄️☄️☄️

Just picked up part 3 to guitar super system, have you ever thought of doing more genre specific courses or videos? I want to get into country (like you were playing) but I have no idea where to start
can I get this kind of tone in my GT 100 ???
probably something similar but theres no way you are gonna get the exact tone. This effects processor is $1000 dollars...
I struggle with getting good tone, especially high gain on my GT 10 without using a cabinet impulse on pc, gain sounds too digital and cab sims sound awful. I don't know if Boss has improved this in later GT models
I'm sure they have considering the price of this thing haha. I know what you mean I have a boss GT 8. But all I really do is bedroom jamming tbh so it works fine for me.
I use Gt100 I've gone through this problem before specially on stage it sucked, but, finally I sorted out the problem, I did a lower gain in my pre amp which results a clean noise less tone, also, used the noise free cables. or probably you could search for BOSS TONE STUDIO, It will help you to understand how much you take the Gain level to your patches.
Yes, me too. There is a video about setting the input level on YT (ua-cam.com/video/wBq_5hvqar0/v-deo.html) with the GT100 that made a HUGE difference in sound for me. I have a spreadsheet with each guitar and what setting it should be at.
Absolutely amazing
I actually thought you had a Rainbow Gibson, just thought it looked nice.
Reuben McReuben Even if he does have the guitar in the thumbnail, it isn't a Gibson either. It's a PRS.
@@terrycornelius4 much more of a guitar than a Gibson or Epiphone as well.
That coat looks great on Tyler
Loved the doom metal part! That was awesome! They sound good. You got it running though a computer? They never seem to sound as good though a amp. Nice guitars 👍
@musiciswin dude hope you’re getting calls to be a session guitarist?! What style of music can’t you play?!
I would still prefer the Zoom G5N! Great tones and is affordable too. Probably the only effects processor giving competition to the Boss GT-1000 at such a cheap price. I got it for about 22,000 rupees ( $400) . I absolutely love it !
Habbits of Tony Iommy would be awesome. Much love
I don't know about you guys, but for me, that old jean jacket really tied the video together.
My first thought was worrying about the buttons on the denim jacket scratching those gorgeous guitars :-P .... great tones though! thanks for the vid
Those Danelectro... 😻
Awesome Tyler! If this video doesn't show people how amazingly talented and versatile you are, then I don't know what will. A lot of country guitar players seemed to be underrated in my opinion. Some of those licks are damned difficult to play - at least for me.
Loved the shoegaze tone
DUDE. Almost a guitar for every genre. Do you own all of these??
Experimental had so much emotion...
i could buy 5 more of my guitar and amp for that one pedal
Americana - British Crunch
Makes sense
Those Danelectro sound genuinely good. Is it the pedal?
Damn that neo classical solo
Singer/Songwriter is my favorite genre of music
My dream pedalboard 😍
This thing is awesome! I’ve had it about a year now . Also had helix but I sold that. It didn’t have the soul that this has.
I love my GT 8. Everybody praises my tone, specially the brutal metal distorsion I built and molded for two years of EQ tweaking. Imagine the things I'd do with a GT 1000...
that "blues rock" setting is definitely more smashing pumpkins than bb king
when's the giveaway happening my dude?
3:28 shoegaze , sounds like the opening of paradise city
>Americana
>uses British crunch
13thNinjaPenguin
Tone has no borders my man.
:-P
3 more. Rockabilly,SKA & Latino
Boss is everywhere for a reason. Oh. O shit storm
wow so many guitar on this video !
3:56 still don't know why people think indie rock is something like punk rock. Usually indie rock tones are reverb, delay, and some compresión. Please listen to: Gus Duperton, Boy Pablo, or mostly known Mac DeMarcó. They're aren't the greatest icons of music (except mac, Mac is love, Mac is life, lovehimordie) but they are indie rock and their tones doesn't have anything from punk rock and less the rhythm pattern.
BTW: my English is bad cause actually I don't speak English. I'm a Spanish sub, anyways I love your channel, Music Is Win is my favorite though. Great vid ;)
the neoclassical one was sick
I swear I keep saying that I need to get a guitar pedal, and I never do! That's what happens when you're broke :( But excellent showcase of that extremely classy looking and performing pedal my man! You rock \m/
Also anything that can basically do Blues, Jazz, and Classic rock seals the deal for me!
Get a distortion pedal form boss. DS-1. Thats my first and only pedal right now.
Ahh maybe! thank ye for the suggestion, but even then I still am very conservative for money
I have a Tubescreamer demon clone. I was lucky to get it secondhand in my town, it’s around 50€ new. Many pedals of that price are good.
Ahhh I see. Well thank ye all for the suggestions!
amazing... just epic riffs here
This is reminding me of sunday jams. Bring it back tyler. Also bring back live streams.
Hmmm I'm getting word that it's $1000, welp there goes that dream rip. Still a great video to see from you man. Great and prominent talent!
Have you tried the Fractal AX8? It's the best thing I've bought in a long time.
To be honest I think the pedal sounds terrible
Yeah, it wasn't that good. And for $1000, nah.
I don't like multi fx neither
can you explain why exactly? also what are some good alternatives? (I wanted one)
Rishon Singh multi fx generally are made to assemble tons of effects in one unit, so when you buy one, you're investing more on quantity then quality... pedals have a much better tone on its effects cause they are made for only one purpose, so for me at least, it's better to invest in the tone. My only solution was to be patient and invest slowly til i got what i needed hahah
I think you can find other digital or modeling gear that either doesn't sound as thin, or is more cost effective. I'd have a hard time believing that this would beat out, say, the entry level versions or used versions of a Line 6 Helix.
this channel satisfies :)
Amazing Man.... Congratulations for your job.
4:43 Rob Scallon's weed
(In a totally non ironic way) I didn’t know singer songwriter was a genre. I guess you learn something new every day! Not the biggest fan of the multi effects pedals but they’re fun to goof around with
I could literally imagine those punk chords with Dexter Holland, Billie Joe Armstrong, or Greg Graffin singing over them. Cool
Funk sounds cool
This video is ur session resume dude! tim pierce of the next gen!
I wish someday I will be able to play like you
I was wondering when that lovely Paul’s guitar was gonna make an appearance😍
The only thing boss do well multieffects digital (and its reverb and delay pedals)
I'm still using the gt-3
Sweet video, really nice examples of the different genres.
Mamma Mia funky makes me go hunky
The face at the end of expermential haha
No medieval drone music - unfollow.
But seriously, medieval drone music would be SICK!
Still sounds like a Boss pedal.. which is what it is. Great bedroom quality stuff that you could record with if you had to..
Great playing and great use of the product though. Glad music is paying your bills and affording you cool opportunities to try/score gear!
I'm not a patreon or a customer or yours in anyway so what I say doesn't really mean shit.. but I always enjoy your videos dude. As a guitarist, as a music fan, as a gear and tone fan.. list goes on. A little bit of jealousy every time in the sense that i did not make the decisions I needed to or should have made to be in a similar position, but coming from a place of respect.
Continued compliments man.. content is fun and easy to watch, playing ia always spot-on (you're a killer) and you have a brand of humor that I dig. I will be cheering you on as time goes on. I am glad that my kids, once they really start to fall in love with music, will have access to a teacher like you. There aren't many and there needs to he more!!
Maybe things will line up and I will eventually catch ya on the road or at a clinic to show some support. Until then i'll just keep doing the passive clickity stuff that assures youtube at least pays you for the time I spend watching your stuff!
Cheers from PA dude!
3:10 love that guitar
9/10, was expecting doom metal to be "At Doom's Gate" from the Doom original soundtrack.
The last one (disco) was really freaking cool
