- ~ Witch is a challenging role for me, I tend to get stuck with a floundering mafia or a nabbed by the Jailor! In this Ranked game, it looks similar, but there's something working for me...the 3 vigi's available for control!

My favourite role to claim as witch is invest, but you have to mix up the order of your results/add people you know so that your invest nights don't line up with the nights people are witched.

I think you should make a walk through series where you play as all the roles and show the best ways to play with them and how to win most of the time.

Also this was a stupid game sk claimed medium when revived doc said no medium, also vigi's came out with a witch when someone said hey I was witched.
NK is hard to win as, that’s why you see so many people leave the game when they’re NK. I don’t have a lot suggestions on making it better other than give them better winning conditions but it shouldn’t be removed.
Maybe having 2 part win condition might solve a bit of the problem. For example, killing x number of people net you partial win, like how Pirate and Exe don't have to stay alive to win once they have satisfy the win condition.
And if you stay alive you get a full win with bonus elo point or something.
Serapae - Indeed - or perhaps NK can earn a certain number of elo per day survived.
Though I have to say - since the arso change and the reduction in Jailor meta - I've won 3 arso games and 2 ww games in the past week and barely at all before patch so - actually don't think it's nearly as hard anymore!
Instead of removing nk, i think they should change the win condition, like kill 5 people as sk or something like that. If nk manages to get a traditional win, they could be rewarded with more elo. That would also prevent sk/ww from doing nothing.
I dont really understand what you're saying aside from you wanting them to win after the NK kills 5 people, so instead of changing the win condition, everytime the WW/SK gets 5 kills, they get +1 elo, so if they lose they dont lose anything. But the arso needs to kill 3 people for a +1, and they still get their amount of elo if they win ofcourse.

LazoGT I'm sorry, english is not my native language, maybe my explanation is weird. Skimm said, that playing as nk isn't fun, because you loose a lot.
Since i think the existence of the nk is very important (to give the evils a chance of winning) i thought of a compromise. If the nk can win by killing a certain number of people, they have a higher chance of winning. For reaching that goal they should be rewarded with a normal amount of elo.
If they die before killing enough people, the nk should loose more than 1 elo and if the nk somehow pulls off a "traditional" win (killing everyone who would oppose them) that could be rewarded with more elo.
I think that would make the nk role less frustrating (just my opinion of course)
NeonPrime100 I know that strategy and can work very well, but since threre are less people dying each night, it lowers the chances for all evils (the tis have much more time to figure stuff out). Thats why i think the game should motivate sk/ww to kill each time they can.

Bad idea, right there. Confirming there's a witch too early. You should never confirm NE/NK ever when you are evil. You might control an evil N2 or even maybe N3, so dont do that.

Keegan I think he has scrolls, but if not, he's not exactly short on MP.
you can only get juggernugget scrolls through those things that give you every scroll
I played a witch claim game where I was just “I wonder what will happen if I do nothing” and mafia found me, and I won. Without doing anything. Lol
I think sometimes not using your ability is good as witch. It can frame people and take heat off you. (For instance, you could not have witched n2 to make it seem less sus that there was no witch n1)
When jailed N1 as witch and there was no witched claim you can say that an evil was watched and didn't say it or witch stayed home!

I actually quite like neutral roles in tos. they add a lot of flavor to the game, and although they dont win much, its really fun imo. In fact, i really wish they would add NB back into ranked

I remember a game I played as ww where I claimed medium, and was neither confirmed or denied. The chaos led to a perfect mafia game. At least they were appreciative.

I've had a triple vigi game where I was one of the vigis. Unfortunately they both shot me on the same night, so it was 1 vig shot by 2
I had an amazing witch game in my placements. Mafia found me out n1 and we worked together, and their godfather was a leaver. NOBODY suspected I was the witch because I found and lynched the SK. I claimed invest and got people's results from my witches, but I just switched them around a little bit.
I have never played Ranked before and I am a little nervous to start for fear that small mess-ups will have huge repercussions and I will be seen as a bad player if I am not placed at a good rank due to gamethrowers, being unlucky, or my own mistakes. Advice?
Honestly I usually only play ranked practice, but if you are scared about people making fun of your elo, tell them to fuck off.

You could also start day 1 saying “hey I’m learning how to play so I’ll do my best but bear with me!”
Witch is a fun role. NK, not so much. They need to take it out & add in either an any or NB. I suppose another NE would be okay, but could throw off the balance if they're Witch. That could be fixed by giving the Witch new win conditions though.

there should be more neutral roles for classic salem cuz witch is the only one who tends to work DIRECTLY evils (more or less) or put survivor back into ranked practice
Just had craziest game of all any roles. I was exe and my target was retri, it took me 7 days to finally get them lynched (no town died before then so said it was easy to fake) everyone decided to side with me and when they died, there was jailor, me, a witch, and a mayor left, and it said town won. So basically in one day I won the game for both town and myself lol. To survive until then I claimed surv helping town. Almost died to other exe as well, somehow no one knew that that meant i wasn't surv lol. Also jailed night 1. Everything was absolute chaos.
I once was Witch claiming Doc, we ended up winning! I was proud of myself because I thought I'd lose. ;')
"Sheriff is a maf claim" last time I played ranked town innoed someone who claimed sheriff because they said "Sheriff isn't a maf claim" so what is it?
Its usually an exe or ww claim because of invest result. The jailor was just not very bright.

When im witch I dont usually control people some people can take it anyway they want. Though, the reason I dont witch is because im free to claim LO if im caught by invest and it makes people think theres a jest or exe, and I only witch people when I have to (evils found are being exed/rbed). I think its a good strategy.

mby make it so the win condition for NK is something like kill 4 people or mby like kill 3 people and 1 random roll (EX. kill 3 people and a jailor) if that person died then you just kill 1 more person.
I agree witch can be hard to play sometimes depending on everything thats going on, but even if the game doesn't go well I always enjoy playing roles like witch
Jailor should have been able to tell that either you or the other sheriff were lying by day 4. All rt were accounted for. If they hadn't gone afk you probably would have been exed. lol

Witch all depends on the Mafia really. Skimm had a good group this time around.
Pandaz Plays Yeah. It really isnt viable to work with nk, because if theyre arso or ww, they could end up having you killed after you pledge alliance to them, and that also makes you a enemy of mafia. (Ontop of town trying to get you killed)
How is making vigi shoot vigi a good plan? Instead of making vigis shoot 2 different nights for 4 kills instead of 2?
So I had a game and I dont know if it was gamethrow(I think it was). I was mafia and I was dead. There were 2 maf and 2 town left. One of them was confirmed vet. It was night and all maf had to do was kill the other townie. My mafmembers knew who was the vet, but they still attacked him, “to have fun”?

So SK knew there was a confirmed witch and two vigis so his idea was to kill the witches ability to kill? Doesn't make sense

My first game I won as sk because I claimed sherif to the jailor marked a random person as sus. He was voted up and revealed as arso. maf backed up my claim trying to pass as town then died that night disguised as the thing he claimed to be. The next day I managed to push another maf up to be lynched. Somehow everyone was convinced I was legit sheriff. I also Got lucky with another person I pushed up. Basically a lot of luck. I have not managed an sk win since.

I used to solely play all any. It's really fun to relish in the chaos.
I really don't think that witch is that hard of a role to win with, it all depends on how well evil does and how lucky they get, witch makes games as evil alot easier then jester or exe because in certain situations the other NE's can side with town. Witch can also get alot of fake claims easily as they can control and find out peoples roles, claims like Sheriff, Lookout, Investigator, maybe even psychic. It helps to be acting as an important TI role so town wants to lynch you less, it's even a good strategy to sell out one of your evils to confirm yourself! I find witch as one of the easier roles to win with, it's just a buffed survivor that can't win with town.
WHAT A LEGEND
Next time if jailed night 1 as witch... claim vet and don't witch the next night. Jailor won't expect results and you can wait until TK is outed or you are pushed. You claim vet, they ask for CC. You know what to do with CC's... Even tell one of the CC's to shoot you hehe.
I only witch someone in this case if it's a jailor or retri and it's clear they are gonna benefit town that night.
Hopefully by then the evils have done enough work for you to kill a townie with a CC.

NK is meant to make the game more chaotic, and to decrease the mafia's winning chance.
And it's pretty much a big challenge of the mind to me.
Thru my logic, 2 of the RTs are vigilante, town killing is also vigilante. The other RT is Jailor. Because one Jailor died and u still got jailed, and that told me, “Derp! The third RT is a Jailor!”
I normally go for lookout as witch, very fun and confuses people
I remember one game where I was invest but I was rbed every single night. Not joking. Actually happened to me. Roleblocked. Every. Single. Night. Then the town lynched me cause.. y’know, suspicious? Like, really fricking suspicious :,,)
When I got Consige one time (Keep in mind it was my first consige round) I claimed invest I wrote forgot for N1 check. I wrote near the end that a maf was Framer vamp or jest (wasn't framer) Jailor jailed me and I managed to convince him that I was invest and maf won

I did a game as witch and got Vigi to kill other vigi n1. After a while, it was just maf, ww and a vamp. Ww was claiming exe. I got vamp and maf to kill each other and won with ww.
I like nk just think all of them should be able to kill more than one person, also I think it'll be a good machanic for sk to show up as town until they kill🤔

I'm in favor of removing NK, absolutely hate it when I get NK. I get that you don't lose much elo but that's more of a waste of time, having the game against you pretty much 90% of the time.
That's it though, it's like a free loss... Not a lot of points but it still takes 20 mins of your time.
i think NK just needs a rework. make them able to win with people other than neutral evils/the same NK role. similar to pirate perhaps. the biggest problem with NK right now is that they are alone in a game where majority means a lot.
even when there's a potential teammate like a witch they're more likely to side with mafia because it's simply safer and easier.
yea NKs dont need removed, they need a buff that can help them as much as having a team in mafia, like the ability to know who is neutral or win with other NKs

Was playing today, i won a game as ww, then next game sk won, then game after that, arso won, so played 3 games in a row where the NK won, was very good, so no point in removing him

In my opinion that janitor was obvious. They just said its ww/arso game D2 when there's a possibility that it could be a silent sk and the only thing they said was this so that didn't add much into the conversation. A bad attempt at blending I guess!

Yesterday I was playing ranked practice and was playing as SK. long story short I played my cards right and ended up in the final four, me, a witch, and two townies. The witch ended up controlling me to kill her and then I got lynched. I was very pissed too, the bitch just threw the game even if she would win with me.. I was also playing very well too
Last game I played with a witch in it I was Escort, Mafia got majority, they asked me If I was witched. I said Yes. We hung the real witch. Witch was very salty.

Completely disagree with removing Neutral Killing. It's extra killing power that mafia needs, the NK just got unlucky this game. It is that simple.

Deadfelt I've seen it as a way to make useful town roles worthless. For example you can force a jailor to execute a innocent prisoner (Yeah, don't go protecting mayor as jailor when a witch is ingame) or you can force jailor to keep a evil ally alive.
the first column of boxes is for the witch's first target, second column is it's second target. The witch's first target will do their role on the second target. For example, if witch chooses 5 as their first target, who is the doc, and 7 as their second target, who is the mafioso, the doc will be forced to heal the mafioso, and the doc will know they were witched, but not who they were witched into. Witch will find out the role of their first target, so if witch witched 5 into 7, the doc will heal the mafioso and the witch will find out 5 is doc (but they will not know 7 is mafioso). Witch is helpful because witch can cause jailor to not execute someone (like who witch is teaming up with), can cause escort to role block someone else other than the solo godfather (so they get a kill), can cause vigi to shoot a town, which kills the vigi and the town (like skimm did in the video). Witch wins with all evil roles and only loses if only town is left, witch has basic defense until attacked once. (If N1 witch gets attacked by SK, the witch will not die, if witch is attacked later by mafioso, the witch will die)

I really wanna know what elo is
once you play 50 games, (at least 10 ranked practice I think), you can start to play ranked, in ranked games, winners get elo and losers loose elo. If you get to certain level of elo (1200 is starting point, it's silver rank), you can rank up and play with other people in that rank. NK doesn't lose a lot of elo because it's the faction that wins the least.
