    Great video as always! We utilized the PASSEPARTOUT FAMILY Pass for 101€ (2 adults and unlimited children) during our 3 month stay, earlier this year. This allowed us to visit the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, in addition to the National Archaeological Museum and the Museum of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure as many times as we wanted with priority line access. A great value option most tourists don't seem to know about. Not only did we visit every museum on the list, we hit up the Uffizi and Boboli Gardens several times each.

      That really sounds like it was a very good bargain to buy before the family and enabled you to see museums that a calmer pace over a couple of days

    Good information! Was in the Uffizi when I was 18, a million years ago. If all goes as planned, hoped to get back to Florence in January. Been to many of Rome's museums (Borghese being one of my favorites) as an adult but not Florence's.

    Another great video! Have you ever gone to the Uffizi during one of the free days and if so what was your experience? I’m going to be in Florence in the beginning of November and I saw that the 1st weekend it will be free Nov 4th (National Unification Day) and Nov 5th (1st Sunday of the month). Considering that two days in a row will be free and that I’m not going during peak tourist season I’m not sure if I should go on one of these free days to save some money or wait until the following Tuesday when it’s full price.

    • @GregorBrown
      @GregorBrown  10 місяців тому +2

      Hello! I would not do that, there will be so many people on those days. Pay the price and try to go at an off hour. Like 1hr before closing or right when it opens.
      Glad you are visiting!

    Thanks you for your wonderful video . Question: The museum entrance and Exit are the same? or different? I like to know where I will come out , so I can meet my daughter to pick me up. Looks so big inside. Thanks !

    Can you explain more what door to go into? There are soo many of them. Also, if you buy beforehand, can you explain how you are getting your printed out ticket from that location you came out of? These are details that help people so much. Thank you for your video!

    • @GregorBrown
      @GregorBrown  9 місяців тому +1

      it's crazy you have to collect it even if you buy in advance but you do. the door for that is on the west wing, walk in the middle it will be on the west side. From the middle, the entrance is on the east side.

      @@GregorBrown I’m so glad I’m watching this. I didn’t find anything in the website saying that I still needed to pick up physical tickets. Any idea if you can pick them up in advance? I’m traveling with children and I rather not have to go with everyone in there and rush around to the next door.
      Thank you, I’ve watched so many of your videos and the funny part is that now that the trip is closer and knowing that I’ve bought most tickets to attractions and planned an itinerary, the videos have a whole new layer of usefulness! I love having a mental map of the places where I’m going and you are great at providing context.

    So if I purchase tickets online do you still have to stand in that long line to retrieve a paper ticket ? Or is it a different entrance ? Do that sell out is that why you suggest purchase ahead?

    • @GregorBrown
      @GregorBrown  4 місяці тому

      For online ticket purchases for the Uffizi Gallery 🖼️, you often have a QR code or e-ticket sent to your email, which means you can bypass the main ticket line 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️. There is a specific entrance for those with pre-booked tickets, which significantly cuts down on wait time. It's recommended to purchase ahead because yes, tickets can sell out, especially during peak tourist seasons 🌞. And yeah, I know, a line to collect a physical online ticket seems pointless and disorganized, but this is Italy. ;)
