So proud of the new generation today black women are stepping out and discovering love can be with any race other than your own. Since the 60's to 21st century black men have been doing it for years. I am 57 years old. White men during my high school and throughout were too timid or intimidated by some black women, and black women didn't want to hurt their parents and friends as a traitor. Thank God you two as many other biracial couples I have subscribed to as well see this is a no longer. So happy for you both. I cannot wait to see a boy or girl maybe twins, will be incredibly cute and handsome like there parents.💞💞💞💞💞

Awww, we have this tradition as well. After eating and formalities, the floor is cleared and the couple are sitting in chairs covered in blankets, homemade bedspread, lengths of material and then the family, friends, church groups etc would gather around the couple and get them to hold one end of material and then the family or group members would hold the sides and then we would throw in money, at the same time we would be yelling out blessings to the couple. Once the group has thrown in their money/donations, the material is rolled up and then given to the couple. I love watching the older women when they do this, they would be yelling out 'this is to help you buy the door knob of your house's or 'this is for your first baby' etc. Old women would be bringing up their purses and emptying the contents into the material like literally, they would make a big show of it and turning their purse upside down onto the material and shaking the contents (notes n coins) in front of the couple this is such a beautiful wedding tradition my culture has 🥰😍. If I was invited to this wedding I so would have done this for them, even if I was by myself 🤣
