Hi there, I was under the impression that magazine colour is fugitive. I notice a lot of collage artists use magazines though and wonder how you compensate.
I love your work! I have some questions for you: Do you work on canvas and do you use gesso on the surface first? Also what type of glue do you use and do you glue each piece or the surface of the canvas? Thank you so much.
Hello. I make collages too, maybe i can help with your questions. About the first one: I don't use canvas, i usually use cardboard or MDF. About the glue: I use wood glue and always put it on every piece, like he does on this video. If you see to the left you'll find a container full of glue where he anoint the pieces.
@@arcanumest5834 was wondering about that also. Is wood glue not too thick on fragile paper magazine. Does it ripple?
Also I can’t really see but I will ask if he draws before.
Wow your work is amazing! What do you think, compared to paintings how galleries perceive collage art from a demand and value point of view.
Awesome
Wow man! That's absolutely incredible! What do you use to stick down the magazine pages? Mod podge? 💙💜
I'm guessing gesso. Based on the large container on the left against the wall, and the white splotch also to the left in front of the container. Looks like he places the back side of the scrap atop the splotch. Slow down the video and watch
is he using magzines for this project or not
What kind of glue do you use for your collage art?
Hello. I make collages too. And i'm pretty sure that he is using wood glue. You can get good results using a regular wood glue. I hope i've helped.
@@arcanumest5834 do you dilute the wood glue? it looks runny in video but I don"t see him cleaning it up. sorry< new but love the style!!
That’s too bad that you decided to run it so fast. I didn’t enjoy it and can’t be bothered watching the rest of it .
Beautiful!
