Acts 2:38 is still God's plan of salvation for us today. One way for all people. The Jews, Gentiles, Samaritans, all came the same way. God is not the author of confusion. So he wouldn't set up many ways to be saved. That brings confusion. We have to come the way they came on Pentecost. All salvation scriptures fall under Acts 2:38. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body. It's a supernatural birth. 2 Corinthians 12:13, For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Just saying, I believe can't save you. Scriptures! James 2:14-26, What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man says he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Verse 17, Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Don't get Titus 3:5, mixed up with James 2:14-26. Both are right! One is a Work of your own good deeds and one is a Work of your faith. THERE IS NO SINNER'S PRAYER IN THE BIBLE. Why would anybody take a chance on salvation doing it any other way than the way they have done it in the bible? God will never change his word and do it man's way. Being that eternity is so long, doesn't it just make good sense to do it the way they did it to be right before God on that day? Just being a good person can't save you. Isaiah 64:6, But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Romans 3:23, For all, have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. We know we can't enter heaven with our sins, so how do we get rid of them? Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Some say water and Spirit don't save you. John 3:5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 1 Peter 3:21, The like figure whereunto BAPTISM DOTH ALSO NOW SAVE US (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What good is any message if it doesn't tell you how to be saved the right way at the end of it?.
