@@corbinmaxey there's an app thats specifically meant for calculating a snakes length. You just need an object in the photo for reference with a known length. You also need to take the photo from above the snake. I can't remwmber the name of it, but I'm sure it would be easy to look up.
Most snakes are way less agressive than people think and Shere Kahn has been trained and has had loads of interaction with people. Keyword here is most.
My baby was 13’ 6” when he was full grown!! I miss him so much!! He passed at the rip old age of 18 😢 I miss him a lot and hope he has passed over the rainbow bridge to pet heaven
It’s actually easier to get albino burms than most other morphs. Everyone wants an albino lol. I’ve been trying to get just a normal wild coloration one and haven’t found a single breeder producing them. All just albinos, granites and hypos
Hi Corbin! Do the string strategy and put one end on the pythons tail, dragging it on top of him like you did in the vid. When you reach the head, cut the string. Now measure the string and you'll have a more accurate measurement :)
No offense I'm sure and you can tell this guy loves his Python, but I would of been kicking and screaming if even a little worm comes near me imagine a snake that size Hells to the NOOO
I'm not gonna lie I love all of the animals you have shere Khan is honestly one of my favorites and I'm subed and I liked. I also wonder how are you able to take care of all those animals?
Suggestion, put a dimensional grid on the ground of 1 foot squares, then use a photo editor to warp the image into a grid view, then measure his length in the image, and compare it pixelwise to the 1-foot squares (I recommend using a drone to get the most overhead view possible).
I used to use a fabric tape measure on my ball python...I could move it along with her as she wiggled! But with a baby as big & beautiful as yours, I see how a string or hard tape measure makes more sense 😂
My old Burmese was 18ft and 180lbs. She was the full length of my staircase and some. She had a perfect shed once and that when dry was almost 20ft. She ended up becoming the main animal of a reptile show that went to schools. She went to a lot of expos. This was over 20 years ago. I watched her drink a half gallon of water in one sitting. She was very docile but I would only bring her out or feed her with others present just to be safe.
When trying the string method try a piece of scotch tape on his head to hold the tape then measure to his tail, mark the string and measure it properly
Accurate representation of trying to keep a pet snake still. They never listen.
They actually never cause they can't hear lol

With the snake not being totally straight, your pet is actually longer than you think.
So lets say 14???
@@corbinmaxey I’d say maybe even 15, he’s quite bendy when you measured 13
@@corbinmaxey I would definitely say around 15 feet at the very least! Look how curled up he was in that last shot!!
@@Somedude20282 I'd say 15too

Shere Khan said keep telling them it's 13ft, I don't have time for sitting still!
He doesn't have time for this lol
@@corbinmaxey lol
it isn the acurate blenght shere khan was bent so he is longer than that mabey 15 or 14 feet
I love Shere Khan! The prettiest snake, even if he's a little rebellious about being measured😂😂
He does have beautiful markings! And yes, lol it was fun trying to document this!
Didn't know he was chill like that
🐍🤙
People give snakes a bad reputation
Haha he's used to people and being handled

The funny part is hes probably more like 14' because he was curved while measuring
I say 14.3 let's have him measure him again. 😆

I have to say you have a very funny craf
I wish my dad’s python had been this chill! My father had a very, very grumpy, sixteen-plus foot reticulated when I was young.
He 13 feet and still a little curld up thats means hes even longer❤
Chilliest snake ever
Sher Kahn loved being measured.Good dude!
Most likely bigger (possibly 14 feet?) due to the fact that the snake was moving around and was not straight
I immediately thought of Shere Khan from the Jungle Book 😂❤
So beautiful.
Your so lucky that you get to have so meny animals because i love animals we only have fish and a puppy and i want a lizzad

You can use a tiny piece of scotch tape to stick the string down temporarily, about one every foot and it will help accurately measure it.

Uh no
I won't argue 13 sounds good
pretty fun doing that with just a Savannah monitor too. quite squirmy but maxed out at only 5'
