You prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend lately xD
Hello, Thank you for this video, It was very helpful. One question, in the Contact Controls dialogue box I have set the automatic stabilisation to 0.001, however, in the interaction dialogue box for both interactions I cannot change the contact controls from Default - it is greyed out. Do you have any idea why this might be the case? I have tried going back through the video a few times and cannot see what I am doing differently. Thanks, Ben
when I am following the steps in the video, I am getting the following error while in the run The strain increment has exceeded fifty times the strain to cause first yield at 633 points The strain increment has exceeded fifty times the strain to cause first yield at 13 points Excessive distortion at a total of 404 integration points in solid (continuum) elements Pls, Could you tell me the way to nullify the error?
Wow wonderful. Thanks. It's my first time to hear abaqus. But now i know that abaqus is from same company with catia and Solidworka. Wonderful it will be my favorite in no time
The video it turns out to be very practical and usefull, however from my point of view it should be important to take into account the strain rate effects since, in some cases, the deformation of the sheet metal may take place quite fast; furthermore, regarding what I mention, the problem could be no longer considered as a quasistatic... I wait for your feedback about my comment, best regards and thanks :)
Thank You for such detailed tutorials. helps a lot in learning abaqus features and technical details in a short amount of time which would rather take hours to figure them out. Thumbs Up ...
Please upload video on tensile testing of Titanium sheet metal (ASTM E8 dimensions with 1mm thickness) with applying test speed of 3m/s and orientation of 45 degree. please! Im struggling to simulate.
sir i am doing simulation about V-bending on Aluminium narrow plate by using steel punch and polyurethene rubber for die.But i am not getting good results, getting deformation in the die and getting very high equivalent stresses.Actually having problem how to select engineering data for the die. Please sir i am stuck and would be a great help if give me some guidenece.
sir this video is so nice. sir me an u arrange one video for me i have to make one sheet of profile following equation x^2 -- y with x varing from -1to1 and y also varing from -1 to 1. then curved surface will formed and then we have to flatten the surface applying load. then simulate that how much strain is produce after flattening of the curved profile. thank u.
thank you so much , can you please upload the video how to simulate springback in tailor welded blanks in u bending ,that would be much more helpful in my project.
very nice! There is smth I want to know, what kind of changes should I make for simulation of steel, with 220000MPa young's modulus? can u help me, please?
Thanks for the informational video. Appreciated. One question, I was wondering if this analysis is modelled in 3D solid, can the Z-direction shrink induced by Poisson ratio be also calculated? and why people ignore the z-direction shrink? I have seen many analyses modelled in 2D. Thanks again for this video!
please make a video on springback
Thanks for your tutorial. Could you please help me with the setup for springback analysis. I'd really appreciate that.
I'm sorry, do you knpw whty don't you include normal behaviour in the contact property?
It's really helpful tutorial !! I am waiting for the tutorial on Spring back and it's compensation on it.

@Chris Houston Yup, have been using InstaFlixxer for years myself :)

same prob with me
Hi did you know how to fix it now
when I am following the steps in the video, I am getting the following error while in the run

I can't change contact control sir 19.04
I also would like to watch your springback tutorial. Seems like many people are interested in the subject.
We will make it for Abaqus community
Abaqus Acumen is that spring back tutorial available now?
Jldi bnao plz
How to re-analyze the bent part?
I want to analyze the bent part under a load.
Can you explain spring back simulation please

I can't change contact controls like 19:02. Help me!
Did you find the solution for that ? Cs I fell into the same problem
How to do for wipe bending/L-bending. Help plss

thanks for putting this up. can you please try INCREMENTAL SHEET FORMING. !!
can you please make one tutorial for making Forming limit curve
Awesome video! Thank you!
It's very helpful for me to learn abaqus, thanks very much!
Thank you for a good tutorial... very easy to understanding..please send to other bend test related video.
Thank you for a good tutorial
Thanks and very useful explanation for each step.
Hai sir, I am doing projet on linear friction welding, can u have any tutorials for that
Thank you for all these nice tutorial

It has plane strain condition.
very good video, but can this software do some analysis using coining method? thanks
Yes
sir, is plastic data of material available in any research paper if yes kindly send me the link and what is the name of the material.
These are assumed data for low carbon steel. We don't have any reference.
Thanks a lot for this nice tutorial
Thank you for a good tutorial
