You can find the Chosen One's car in New Vegas. It's called the Wrecked Highwayman and it's the same color as the one from Fallout 2 and it has a footlocker where the trunk should be, just like in Fallout 2. If that wasn't enough, you find energy cells and microfusion cells in the trunk (That was the fuel for the Highwayman). Also, the lead designer of New Vegas (Joshua Sawyer) made a mod for New Vegas and in the trunk of the Highwayman you find the Classic Pack items, including the weathered 10mm pistol and the armored vault 13 jumpsuit from fallout 1 & 2.

FNV has a car mod that lets you finally properly drive the cars. I ran over a Deathclaw and a bunch of legion assassins. Then I found out that vehicles have health and that I nearly destroyed mine running big things over and getting shot at.
FlutterShy~ The closest thing I could get to a Highwayman in that mod was the Carnivore Special. Great car, just can't hold more than 1 other passenger which makes me sad. Still, the trunk and the look is all still there, so it's my go-to car.

The Fallout franchise needs to return to California if only for one game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for one set in The San Francisco Bay Area. It says in The Fallout Bible that the area has a pre-war Chinese communist presence due to a nuclear submarine washing up just off of the coast of San Francisco. Imagine if a large portion of the game's story would revolve around them battling The Enclave for control of the tech in Silicone Valley in the southern corner of the map. Add to that other notable cities in the area such as Oakland where a vicious gang of "Raiders" could've fashioned themselves after a certain pre-war professional sports team terrorizes the city's ruins and the once beautiful redwood forests in the north of The San Francisco Bay Area in which isolated tribal societies could've formed after The Great War and you've got yourself a great game!

Am I the only one who has a bad memory of the highwayman? When Fallout 2 released, the car caused a bug that made it impossible to finish the game. When the developers finally patched it, you had to start a whole new game. I was already like 3/4 of the way through, that was a lot of lost time!

I heard this track as part of someone else's Fallout soundtrack compilation and loved it -- and I'm pleased to say that I didn't get sick of it over an hour. :D Definitely going on the list for favorite reading music!
Am I the only one who has a bad memory of the highwayman? When Fallout 2 released, the car caused a bug that made it impossible to finish the game. When the developers finally patched it, you had to start a whole new game. I was already like 3/4 of the way through, that was a lot of lost time!
It is reminiscent of Walk on Water by Ozzy.
