I love this song a lot, Lisa has some pipes in her system bcuz she can blow when it comes to singing. I have her albums, she's very underrated as well. Thanks for sharing sis!!!
You're right to question the songs "motives". While I LOVE the song's melody, rhythm, Lisa's voice, and some of the lyrics, it is nonsensical. The song professes, "I don't know why, why he's gone away", Lisa then sings, "I said so many things, things he didn't know And I was, oh, oh, so bad", and then, "He gave the reasons, the reasons he should go", and I did too much lying, wasted too much time"...huh?!? So, she DOES know why "he went away", and she (her behavior) was the reason! They lyricist could've done a better job here.
