Nigeria is a dangerous place. Lagos is a very difficult place to live. The government undermined the people before the infrastructure was built which is why you don't see functioning cities ANYWHERE in nigeria. There is culture in Nigeria, but don't get it twisted the outlook of Nigeria will not be rosy without structural change.
Nigeria is dangerous. When I talk about security it's not just about boko haram. The majority of people in Nigeria are good people, but desperation and a lack of infrastructure due to corruption has helped to create crime and terrorism. You have Boko Haram. Instability in the southeast. A destroyed delta region. Deep poverty in many parts of the country which has lead to crime in the big cities especially in Lagos. Which is part of the reason why Nigeria's tourism numbers are low.
@@sukilee2486 I've heard it. It's funny. Odd that one side is actively petitioning government for reparations. The other side seems to not know what to ask for.

The funny thing about the word "Bronya" is that it means "Broni Na Anya" which literally translates into "white peoples day". Smh. We need to wake the fuck up.
I'm Ghanaian I recently learnt that Bronya was coined by the Akan tribe when white people landed in Ghana and celebrated Christmas. Bronya breaks down to Broni aya meaning the white man's own or the white man has got. It's difficult for me translate in English.

Please ignore the trolls above. It’s best to visit Nigeria if you know someone (preferably a Nigerian) who lives there or will be visiting at the same time. Nigeria does not really have what you would call the best “tourist infrastructure” and so it is best that you know someone who shares similar interests to shepherd you around (and show you what exists behind the mainstream media facade). Hope you get to go, it’s well worth it!
@@therealist2866 Most foreigners think Nigeria begins and ends with Lagos...Lagos though the commercial and economic centre of the country is just one of the 36 states....Nigeria never sold the country as a tourist destination despite its soft power as an entertainment/cultural hub - (its music, movies and arts are creating waves worldwide) cos its visionless leaders only focused on its oil wealth and ignored other sources of revenue. However, some states such as Cross River which shares border with Cameroun and is one of the most beautiful places in the country, has a strong tourist industry which it has been promoting for decades eg. the Obudu Cattle Ranch, Tinapa and others. Nigeria has lots of tourists attractions, which if well marketed will make lots of money for the country even more than its mineral wealth

Great video!! It's so important for us to start showing the true West Africa, not the media's version! It' Love this.
Let's do it!
So glad my grandparents and mom didnt put that poor image in my head. I always was told that Africa is not what American media tries to display. 💜💜💜
I always want to go to every country in Africa more than Europe. No shade to Europe.
@@livingforever6157 what do you mean by Nigeria is 'dangerous' can you please explain?
Nigeria is dangerous. When I talk about security it's not just about boko haram. The majority of people in Nigeria are good people, but desperation and a lack of infrastructure due to corruption has helped to create crime and terrorism. You have Boko Haram. Instability in the southeast. A destroyed delta region. Deep poverty in many parts of the country which has lead to crime in the big cities especially in Lagos. Which is part of the reason why Nigeria's tourism numbers are low.
@@livingforever6157 listen to Tariq Nasheed's video "The Gubberment" you will live it!
@@sukilee2486 I've heard it. It's funny. Odd that one side is actively petitioning government for reparations. The other side seems to not know what to ask for.

Wow this was an awesome video. I was born in Ivory coast, although my family is Nigerian, I've never been there nor back to Ivory Coast for that matter. Thusly I was planning a trip with my siblings this coming December 2019 too, its extremely coincidental that December is the month where things pop off in Nigeria. I'm pysched beyound excitment and can't wait to experience the homeland of my family for the 1st time ever. I just wished I spoke Yoruba.. oh well, I'm still going!
Thank you. Please redo another one that shows more of the country and it's people. Less talking please. When I go back home, Togo, I would love to visit.
Yeah not too far from togo it's a day journey

Be proud ! Most Americans think Africa is under developed etc because that's what the media wants us to think. And allot of our OWN people fall for the BS. Anyway, im not going to ramble on about that but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, put out more videos! I dont care if you or your brother does it, information is key and WE need the knowledge that you'll share. Keep up the good work, team work, my brothers .

This u tube video is 33 minutes long, and you already spent more than half of that just talking instead of taking people around lagos.

Exactly. Too much talking just show me the fucking place.
@@k2jnr450 Be guided bro..watch your words...just come if you so care to see
Yesssssssss
Its about TIME you went to West Africa. I felt like you were intentionally avoiding it.
"Bronya" means Christmas in Ghanaian language. 😎
It's difficult for me translate in English.
ok, i was confused like isnt this about Nigeria?
Good Job Fu. Can't wait for my trip to Lagos!
Gonna be lit
Mum's cooking is definitely the best.

Less of your face, more video of what you talk about.
dope video. But yea you shouldve had more clips while we heard your voice. we understand tho. your first video.
@@SonnyWest87 Lagos has character. Beautiful, tough people. It has more CHARACTER than Dubai, but it doesn't have the infrastructure to function in any effective way. The black elites have collaborated with the west to ruin what could be possible.
Nice video. I like the idea of clearing common misconceptions, would've appreciated more b-roll but you did a good job still with explaining your adventures
"Overtaken by the power of the Amala" 😂😂😂
IDC who is hosting I am just happy for another video
Yes this is Nigeria!!!! 👍🏾😊😊😊😊

It is a very very small part of Nigeria. Do you own research and learn more about Nigeria. It needs work. A lot of work.

Don't go, all you get is frustration and false hope
Sorry about the fools that replied you earlier!am sure you already know nigeria has got problems, struggles, challenges like any other third world country around the world!if u want to visit,go ahead and visit and do whatever u want, dont let anyone talk you out of creating experiences for yourself!
Dynast of search for uhuru is planning a tour for the Osun- Oshogbo festival in Nigeria for African Americans in August. Chek his youtube channel for details
UA-cam automatically started this video at random after a previous video had completed. To be honest, I used the seek bar to skim through the video...
4:08 mark: I had to pause the video there and take a really hard look. I noticed very familiar face. After performing a search on the username, I realized, "I'll be damn!" We worked for the same previous company on different teams for a few years. I greatly enjoyed her company. She is a real trailblazer, highly passionate, and always moving forward. She clearly stood out as the leader of her team every time I had to link up with her team. I will highly suggest that you do not lose contact with her.
Apart from that, good video. Keep up the good work.
