If you can get your hand on a 7" copy of Kiss, play the b-side Love or Money on both 45 and 331/3 speeds... the vocals were recorded at 331/3 and the instruments were recorded at 45. Play it at both speeds - you get two songs in one.

as a Prince fan... ima say 1999 and sign of the times are my top 2 Prince albums. 1999 being 1 on my list. 1999 is litterly the beggning of Princes world wide sound/ hits that we know and love today 1999, little red corvett , delerious , automatic , international lover , lady cab driver , lets pretend where married , dmsr hit after hit after hit !!!!

His 90'a albums are his only truly bad albums. Some gems for sure, but Prince's 90's output overall is just awful,

Hi, where did his self titled album fall in your rankings, the one with the blue background from '79. I feel that's the sneak peek into what 80's Prince will become as it has everything he's going to do. Rock star Prince, slow jam Prince, R&B Prince, and Pop Prince are all here in full glory.
My Top 5 Compelling Prince Albums Are....
1. 1999 surprised me with Purple Rain I expected him to blow up so I was happy everyone discovered what I already knew.
2. ATWiAD/Parade era impressed me.
3. Emancipation had everything!
4. Sign O Times was like an encyclopedia of funk
5. One Nite Alone was perfect mood for alone time.
Honorable mentions.
*Controversy shocked me as a 15yr old in high school it was so cool, and I was too young to appreciate its brilliance at the time.
*Lovesexy shows how fearless Prince was to pursue his creative inspiration.
* Rainbow Children ( which means totally something different now) Let me know he's still that Guy who could do whatever he wants.
Hi, firstly thank you for all your output an quality in 2023. Great choices again (and close to mine)...I own and love all of them. What an artist. If it was not the top 5 but the Magic Seven, I would have included Around rhe world in a day and lovesexy or black album. Thoough I must admit there are a lot more diamonds and pearls in this long career. Recently I re discovered Come. Cheers from Germany Klaus
