Thinking out of the fox

They say there are no atheists in foxholes. But what do foxes think? Do they imagine some dviine being provides their food, mixing it with inedible refuse in order to give them the satisfaction of finding it? Or perhaps they thing that they are the divine beings, looking down on their human servants who leave them offerings, sacrifices in order to ensure a good harvest.
