Hi Emily, I wanted to say couple of words about JT’s Stitching Corner as you’ve mentioned that shop. I should say that I’ve had the worst ever shopping experience with that shop - the slowest shipping, what they have on the website doesn’t mean that they have it in stock. Once I’ve ordered couple of charts, they forgot to ship one of them and shipped it out about 2 months later. I would never recommend anyone to shop there. And you can always order Seraphim linen directly from seraphim’s website - delivery takes about 5 days
I've just come across your channel. You have some lovely pieces, I really like the red deer sampler and would love to see it finished, I'd really like to do this one myself. So many beautiful project's.
This is a tip a heard many year ago about all of those projects that are partially finished. If you belong to a guild or attend a lot of seminars you may have a lot of partially finished projects from classes that you took to learn a new techniques. Take those partial finish project and make a collage. I heard about a guild member taking all of her partial finished projects and pieced them together crazy quilt style and made a jacket. You have several lovely samplers partially started and I can see you taking some of those borders or houses and incorporating them in a project bag or maybe a quilt block.
Besides all the goodies you shared, I just want to say that I love love love your top, and I love love love hearing your kitty purr in the background! ❤
It took me a week to watch this video. But I enjoyed coming back and getting to see a few gorgeous projects before getting pulled away. Finally finished, haha! LOVED your lil man's purrs. He was just a-going! Thanks for sharing.
I do enjoy a good WIP Parade! I was actually stitching Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow while I watched. It’s taking me 2-3 weeks to stitch each block but each one feels like a mini Happy Dance as I complete them. Scary how our information is sold on, A**zon are not in the business of selling goods but selling information. I don’t mind targeted adverts so much, but sharing broadband means I get adverts targeted at my husband and son too LOL. I really don’t need to see ads for audio equipment!
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. What a joy to stitch along with you on a rainy day and see all these amazing patterns. Your beautiful stitching always inspires me!
So lovely to see all your WIPs, Emily! I was stitching on Riley Harbor as I was watching you and stitching the last of the path under the fourth house, so I'm as far along on it now as you are. Looking forward to seeing your progress when you pick it up again!
I was inspired to get Elizabeth Masterton when I saw your start way back when. I think I’ll start her on Doubloon since I couldn’t find Dill anywhere. I love your color changes on it!! Stitching on Dutch Beauty while I watched, thank you for sharing all your beautiful WIPs!!
I am a first timer - loved all the WIPs. I have been a monogamous stitcher, but haven't stitched in like 10 years. I've been knitting and paper crafting. So I think I took a break because I was tired of my project. So I am inspired by all of your WIPs. I am planning on more WIPs - going to try 3 - my big project, a sampler project and a small. So I found your video very inspiring.
Emily, go back and watch this episode, you can definitely tell what pieces really excited you, your facial expressions and body language changes. Maybe that will help you with some tough decisions. I've watched you for several years and don't remember a lot of your stitch pieces, doesn't mean a hill of beans though, cause I have a lot of CRS days. Lol. Enjoyed this project parade. Thank you. The Scottish sampler is beautiful, not to much orange, I don't think. Ann Thomas took my breath away, gorgeous
I did the Amazon prime thing you mentioned for my daughter in law for her birthday during 2020 lockdown. We couldn’t visit and they aren’t local to us so she had small gifts turning up every few days, and her birthday went on for a couple of weeks
So much fun vicariously going through your WIP pile with you. Loved hearing you think out loud about each one and deciding what you wanted to do with each. The time out tub under your bed is a great idea for those you think you might want to break up with. Happy stitching! -Carolyn
I love your project choices, so many great ones. I think my favorite part of this video was how surprised you were at the progress on some of them. Such pleasant surprises!
I am OBSESSED with all things ‘Charles Wysocki’. I have all his books, charts, puzzles, and I even change every years, planner cover to a Wysocki… BUT I had no idea there was fabric! You’ve sent me spiraling down a rabbit hole searching everywhere for his fabric line…not an easy find. Cherish that project bag….it may be the only one on the planet.
I loved the WIP parade! So many neat patterns I hadn't seen before. Yes, touching all the WIPs really helps rekindle the love, doesn't it? Funny, I went through almost the same process with my nails a few years ago and ended up with a similar gel nail set-up. I haven't done it for a while but I really enjoyed the color changing ones - they turn a different color with hot/cold, so when you pick up your drink or wash your hands, you get a brief French tips effect. Fun! Thanks for sharing those Buster purrs again - I love that sweet kitty! 🙂
Wow loved everything you showed. Even those where you questioned your original choice of linen looked good to me. Interesting hearing your reasoning on whether or not to continue.
Loved this video and the wide array of beautiful needlework! It was the first time I’ve seen your Death by Cross stitch - stunning!! Buster seems like a sweet cat. I love the conversation the two of you had! It’s obvious he adores you!! Thanks for a great WIP video!
Loved seeing all of your WIPs! Thanks for entitling it a “movie”….it gave me advanced notice to watch when hubby was gone with the appropriate snack items and enabling note taking tools!😂 I appreciate how honest you are especially when a project isn’t cutting the grade and gets unkitted….It encouraged me to finally unkit some of my nonstarts too. Thanks for another great video Emily!
Hey Emily, try putting your ring light up high and then tilted down (sometimes tilted up works better). It helps lessen the glasses glare. Of course this only works if your camera is on a different tripod.
You stitch so many fabulous things. Your thought processes are exactly mine and why I haven't had my nails done regularly, though I'd love it. I was only able to make a pedicure appointment last year because my son wanted to do it for his 18th birthday and for some reason when it comes to my kids my anxiety goes down 95%.
Great video! I have ordered fabric from JT Stitching Corner a couple of times. I think she had mentioned she needed to order the fabric (though I believe the website implied it was available). She was very nice, but it I do feel it’s misleading informationto not state fabric needs to be ordered). This may nit be the same situation your order is in, but that was my experience. I hope you get yoyr fabric soon. When I order direct from Seraphim, I normally get it within the month.
Always love a good wip parade. I’m about halfway on my Death Cross Stitch. Also have the big red ship but not started. So many lovely things to stitch. You look very pretty
Yes, I liked it. It was worth every minute, and such eye candy! Now, you mentioned making a project bag with your Antique Animal Sampler - Yes, and use it as your Retreat Bag.
I LOVE your Barbara Ana,”Love never fails”, it is so gorgeous!! I think the sampler that you showed on the rust color linen (the one you were making for your Mom) is also beautiful. And I think that’s your “Aged Paper” by Colour & Cotton linens. I have a piece of that linen and I totally recognized that linen when you pulled it out.😊
It’s funny, I think of you as a sampler stitcher and you have tons of other stuff!! I think you should finish that piece to give to Jim for your tenth anniversary, that is something you’ll always remember.
Emily thank you so much for doing this I thoroughly enjoyed it! So many beautiful projects and I totally agree with you it’s hard to put away any project that you love or loved at one time. So glad you’re going to give some love to those projects, go you! I honestly do like your eyeliner and your hair looks beautiful! I did the DIY gel nails for myself and my daughter really not that hard and much less expensive. Take care!
Hi there! Sad to see duck derby retiring. Your “I don’t knows” are pretty and the amount of work you’ve put on them are not trivial. Perhaps, you could sell them to someone who would love to adopt 😁. Take care.
I love seeing your WIP parade - seeing your project bags is half the fun for me. Can you tell me what the pattern behind you on the wall is - the one in the black frame. Love seeing your cat too - so cute!
I couldn't sleep last night so, after tossing and turning until 1am, I put this video on. What better sub-concious message is there?! Last design I remember seeing was Halloween at HRH. Last thing I remember hearing was Long Dog Samplers. So...I was asleep in 26 minutes! Now I'm watching again to see what I missed. LOL!
I enjoyed your parade. I was just thinking about your death by cross stitch yesterday as I was stitching on pandemic. Stitched on it again tonight. Trying to finish page 3 by Feb 1. Just because. Have a great week & stitch on 🤘🦩
Buster purring is the energy we all need these days. I love your Ann Thomas. I am itching to start it but can’t decide if I want to just do the bird or if I want to do the whole thing. Oh, and you’re not a bad friend for bailing on SALs. I have to abandon When Calling Birds. Dye lot changes and misplaced conversion notes have done me in.🙁
I loved this podcast! You have an amazing bunch of beautiful wips! I hope we get to see progress on most of them! Your stitching is fantastic and I loved all the beautiful fabrics! I am happy you still love most of them! I wanted to ask you what count fabric you are stitching the Badger/Unicorn project on? I bought the chart recently and was going to stitch it on a dark green 18 count Aida so I would not have to do all the green stitching, but after watching you, maybe a piece of plain Zweigart is better! Let me know when you can! Also, will gather up a few items for The Duck Derby! I believe I still have your address from last year! Thanks for being you! Take Care!
You should just finish that chatelaine as is as a little pillow! My Aunt gave me a big swath of linen with a stitch that wasn’t complete, but I framed it as is for her (honestly I thought it was complete until I looked at the pattern lol). Better to have it finished as is than languish in a bag somewhere is my motto!
I loved watching the process of how you decided what to keep or not. I have recently done the same thing and some I had to think what was I thinking 😄. My poor BBD Cats on Parade, I started in a very pretty but not pretty for cats variegated silk. I have to restart that. I feel the same about the Haunted House Sampler. If they would have waited for some time it wouldn't bother me like it does. I need to pull that one out and work on it. I am the same way for having my nails done. I have tried and I like having them done. However having to make small talk or having someone hold my hand for that long...sigh. I started doing gel at home back last spring and I'm getting better at it. I would love to hear what you think about the brands. Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us!!
I love your Big Blue Ship on that fabric. Sorry you fell out of love with it. But l agree that if you don't find joy in a stitch, find one you do love. Super enjoyed your !!!video
OK I am way late to this party - just watching now - but I had the same experience with JT last week! I am in New York and thought great, here's a local shop I can support. It took her over a week to ship. I reached out after a week, very politely, and she told me the same thing she told you. I then, several days later, got notification that it had shipped only to see that no tracking information was provided. When I reached out again, she told me that it was something Etsy screwed up and didn't apologize, just assured me it shipped. I've shipped stuff plenty of times to know you get a tracking number any time you send something. I did receive it a few days ago, finally. I spent about $8 for a fairly small order to ship semi-locally without a tracking number. Never again.
You should just make a little pillow or a small framed piece from the work you've done on the "chatelaine" - that blue square is stunning and too pretty to put away or throw out.
I love all your projects! I'm inspired by your Seven Sheep, great linen and colors! What green and orange are you using? I have another sampler in mind but want to do murky with similar colors! Thanks for inspiring us.
Well and I here I thought you had finished Red Deer. I finally bought the pattern after seeing yours and then Carol’s. Of course I had to start it 3 times before I got the linen sorted out. Now it’s one of this year’s focus samplers. I’ll challenge you to complete it this year with me! Although you are much farther along than I. 😂
That was a fantastic WIP parade!!!!🎉 And yes I do think Susan Wasband is calling your name lol. You made it hard not to add to my wish list by watching this 😩
Iv ordered a frame from them and it was the same thing. Very late in processing orders. I had to call a lot. I love what they offer, but not their time frame or attention to detail.
Terrific Video Emily. Wonder where Buster was. My Mugsey was 20 yrs old when he pasted. Oh so happy to see death by cross stitch. I've been wondering about that one. You are so talented in picturing project in your mind before stitching and where they will be in house. Thank you. Bi Fan
Hey Emily! Thanks for your video, you’ve got some amazing projects on the go! My Anniversaries of the Heart (also enabled by Olivia :D) is just one block more than yours - give me a shout when you’re working on yours again and I’d love to stitch along with you! Stay safe! K
I had to pull it out and find my changes. They are from top of vertical list down: 926, 831, 451, 3013, 3011, 640, 3032, 611, 924, 3787, 779, 936, and 3021 stays the same. I used a different thread here or there but that's the basic conversion.
Emily I just finished watching your video it took me two days in order to have enough time to sit and watch it I totally loved it !,you’ve have got some gorgeous pieces going on …Id just like to have a stab it going through your stack sometime😂😂 Just this year I have started doing more than one Crosstitch piece at a time I think I’m up to 13 now and I’m quite enjoying it I’ve been across the cheer for about 35 years and I’ve always stitched monogamously so this is big for me I can’t even imagine having as many as you do but I love watching your videos😊
Great video, Emily, and thanks for remind me of the Duck Derby because I am in the process of cleaning out my craft "room" and I've found several brand new duplicate charts that I will be sending your way; hope. to gather more items. BTW, you're a great sister!!!
Berry Bowl sampler - stitch on one piece. Too much fussing with the middle to stitch and frame. Love Dutch Beauty - I’m about as far as you. Slowly chugging away between other projects. Took too many enabling notes…. So many gorgeous samplers
Loved your WIP parade. I added a few things to my wishlist.😊 I also added Hand Food by Soap and Glory to my Amazon cart! I’m looking forward to trying that out and maybe gifting one!
I had to laugh when you pulled out Angelica. There is a reason it is my only SAL. Is there a word for abandoned SALs? Mine is on fabric that is horrible- it’s a similar colour to yours, but it’s opalescent. It looks great, but it’s a b!tch to stitch. I vote keep her under the bed. Or in a box for headless ladies. Maybe the urge to stitch her will strike. Or not. But I’m not committed to abandonment. I should add, I’ve watched this video while stitching on Sarah Bradley 1846. Totally influenced by you. And I’m putting this out in the universe (so I actually DO it). I have some things for Duck Derby. If I put it here, I’m accountable and actually have to send them off. Truly enjoyed your WIP movie. It’s fascinating to see how your style has changed and evolved over time.
@@emilyc325 How could I not start a sampler by another Sarah? I wrote before I watched to the end - I’ve been doing my own nails with gel for years. Do not, I repeat, do not look up nail tutorials on UA-cam or Pinterest. Because you start with plain gel and end up admiring elaborate techniques you could only do on yourself if you were ambidextrous. And cursing the fact you aren’t…but have fun with it. I love doing my nails.
The woman who owns JT stitching shop is my personal friend in Rochester NY. She recently had a baby! There was also a major blizzard in NY where everything was shut down. I’ve been ordering her for years! She is not Amazon she is one person shipping out of her house. Please be more considerate with your expectations of a human being.
Sorry I must have misheard where Emily did in fact reach out and if it was communicated that expectations needed to be modified b/c of babies or blizzards then I feel like this comment would have been fair but that isn't what happened....so you can defend your friend but really Emily did inquire about her order then asked us b/c she isn't a mind reader.
Emily C, what are you doing with your life?! Kicking back, advocating for children in your snazzy glasses, while you should be stitching all of your SALs at once?! Don't you know that a person's value as a friend lies solely on their SAL progress?! 🤣 When you were talking about sending people random gifts through Prime I was thinking about that time that we all sent Latisha scissors and I'm not sure she's made a Flosstube video, since. I'm hoping the two aren't connected, lol. Please, for the love of God, get rid of that Big Red Ship WIP. You've got way too many awesome WIPs to be stitching that beast when you're not feeling it and don't even like the blue anymore. Death by Cross Stich, though, is there a square that will fit in on the bottom left corner there and then you could just cut it short? I mean, that WIP is pretty legendary. I remember when everyone and their mother was stitching that project and all the talk was about Emily's C's multicolored DBCS. Or you could just go nuts and have stitchers stitch their initials in that corner, or put in an awesome song lyric or something. This is my favorite movie of 2023. I'm claiming it now. It's not too soon. Such a fun trip down memory lane!
Hahaha I'm screenshotting this and sending it to Latisha. It's probably all our fault she stopped stitching so much and started knitting. Crazy scissor shenanigans.
@@emilyc325 I mean, we all have our limits and we may just have pushed Latisha past hers. Can one ever have too many embroidery scissors? Unfortunately, it seems the answer is yes. Do you think we can bring her back by all sending her scissor sheaves? Or will that only make it worse? 😂

Hi Emily thank you for sharing your WIPS. Definitely work on some of the need to finish pile. You have some amazing projects 💜💜💜

Loved Lazy Bear project!
Live and learn that's for sure.
Wonderful! All threads are called for except the orange and it's GAST Gingersnap.
Definitely working on it this year. Let's see if we can finish it.
Would love to see more of Mary Argent! That’s gorgeous.
Thank you. Bi Fan
Nice to see you today
Oh my, I just adore your cat!
First of all, your hair is beautiful! Second, I loved all the projects...in fact I had to pause video to go find and purchase!
Oh fun! And thank you. 😊 What did you get?
Hey Emily! Thanks for your video, you’ve got some amazing projects on the go! My Anniversaries of the Heart (also enabled by Olivia :D) is just one block more than yours - give me a shout when you’re working on yours again and I’d love to stitch along with you! Stay safe! K
Can you list your colors for the big Dutch sampler, I have it started but it's bland.
I had to pull it out and find my changes. They are from top of vertical list down: 926, 831, 451, 3013, 3011, 640, 3032, 611, 924, 3787, 779, 936, and 3021 stays the same. I used a different thread here or there but that's the basic conversion.
I’m starting Anne Thomas this week.
You'll love working on it!
Emily I just finished watching your video it took me two days in order to have enough time to sit and watch it I totally loved it !,you’ve have got some gorgeous pieces going on …Id just like to have a stab it going through your stack sometime😂😂
Just this year I have started doing more than one Crosstitch piece at a time I think I’m up to 13 now and I’m quite enjoying it I’ve been across the cheer for about 35 years and I’ve always stitched monogamously so this is big for me I can’t even imagine having as many as you do but I love watching your videos😊
Ooo nails!
I'm doing Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow block by block! That way, I figured I could get it done. 😊
Lots of good stuff 😊. Sending belly rubs ❤
Hi Emily, what silk thread are you using on your Christmas piece? Thanks 😊
It looks like it was a hank from Dinky Dyes called Carnarvon? That's the only somewhat green shade in my Etsy purchases...
How do we contact you about donations for Duck Derby?
You can email me at emilyciavarro@gmail.com
Great video, Emily, and thanks for remind me of the Duck Derby because I am in the process of cleaning out my craft "room" and I've found several brand new duplicate charts that I will be sending your way; hope. to gather more items. BTW, you're a great sister!!!
Love that! And thank you so much! 💙
Berry Bowl sampler - stitch on one piece. Too much fussing with the middle to stitch and frame. Love Dutch Beauty - I’m about as far as you. Slowly chugging away between other projects. Took too many enabling notes…. So many gorgeous samplers
I think you may be right on Berry Bowl. It may be a restart.
Your video was so enjoyable..
Definitely changed and evolved. And yay! Now I can guilt free abandon Angelica lol. I'll think of you when I work on Sarah Bradley instead. 💙
👏👏🌼🧡🌼
Would you consider sharing your color changes for Barbara Ava’s Love Never Fails? It’s beautiful!
👏👏👏👏👏👏🍿🍿🍿
❤️❤️ Good Morning Everyone ❤️ iam so late to the party 🎉 beautiful 🤓🕶️🤓 InezArnetta 🌹
When you were talking about sending people random gifts through Prime I was thinking about that time that we all sent Latisha scissors and I'm not sure she's made a Flosstube video, since.
