I’m so glad you did this! I’ve recently enjoyed ASMR that plays out naturally as the ASMRist is learning a process, a skill, or figuring out what works best in a scenario. I can’t quite explain it, but being able to watch the brain work through the thought process and our physical response to those commands mesmerizes me! I’m instantly drawn in and super relaxed. For instance, a person who has no experience with cooking who’s learning to bake from scratch or someone with a different racial background learning to do another’s hair (different methods, tools and products for different hair types). Sure, we can tell that you were learning; you purposefully made reference to it a few times. But, it wasn’t uncomfortable for me as a viewer, so I don’t understand the negative feedback in some of the comments. I loved it, and felt like Ivy was a great person for you to practice with! She has thick, beautiful hair and I’m sure that was so much fun. I think August would be another great option, as she has beautiful thick hair, too. In regard to constructive criticism, I’d only suggest that you try to embrace the learning process rather than being critical of yourself, but that can be difficult to do sometimes. If you frame the scenario with an educational approach, there’s no need to address any awkwardness you might be feeling, nor a need to explain any mishaps to your audience. Ultimately, this would allow you the freedom to practice confidently, while still producing content that you and your audience clearly enjoy ❤️
I love this. I usually fall asleep listening to ASMR. My favourites are when people talk through what they're doing. It's so relaxing. I know I'd be asleep already if I were the one being styled. Keep doing what you're doing, it's awesome. ♥ 🏴🇬🇧

Hi Katie great video... I just wanna give some ideas... You can use hair chalk comb to colour the hair and it also make a nice sound... and the colour is temporary so don't worry..

Hi, for a pony tail would be better if you will buy hair bungee cords (hair ties with hooks attached) that way your ponytail won't give you much trouble in keep rearrange the hair to take out the little hair "loops" call them that appear when you keep trying to make the pony. the pink brush with dense hair sort of "broom-ish" is mostly for edges and to smooth the hair after you already did it. for fly aways use WOW lots and lots of good products that are worth investing in. I am 20:24 so i will continue to write as i am going
please please stop using combs when you want to brush a massive amount of hair, and when you feel the hair is knotted stop pulling and try working from tip to root, that way is less painfull and you don't put that much stress on the hair. use toothcombs only on small amounts of hair at once. i only use combs when is absolutely needed. but for a pony i will use WOW dream coat and Pop and lock, and a tangle teezer, secure it with a bungee and try to minimise the fly aways with wax but not to much because the hair will look sort of unwashed
and lastly, for a bun with the amount of hair thay ivy has i would'nt use the sponge, you can make it look prettier by sectioning the ponytails in 2, one put in a bun, with either a hair tie or hair pins(you don't need both of them) and the other section braided in multiple braids, use small plastic clear ties, and do them around the bun as the strands you did around it. or if you don't want to make it that sleek, just pull the braids a bit :)

Sorry but I wouldn’t let you do my hair you’re not evening out the hair. The strands are different widths & they should be the same. The bun looks sloppy but when you do the scalp checks & other medical procedures they are educational & relaxing
Well I need I hair cut. If I were there I’d let you do whatever you wanted. If I were wearing a goatee, I’d even let you shave my head. I did that years ago for some while. Had to stop for a bit unfortunately. I had 3 hours of sleep and decided it was a good idea to shave my head. I kept feeling tiny hairs and was determined to get them. I shaved down to the nub. I hopped in the shower to get ready for work and a river of blood was flowing. I stopped the bleeding and went to work. Answered a crazy number of questions as I’m sure you can imagine. Still have 3 pretty good scars up there. Must have been 25ish years ago. Lots of fun.
