I have been married 59 years this year, and our sex life continues to this day! I am 77, and my hubby is 78, and sex is still exciting! We always made love three times a week, or more, and now that we are almost 80 it is now once a week! I never considered it a chore! My hubby is a good lover! ❤

I've been in a sexless marriage for 10 years, married for 12. He just stopped wanting it, comes up with excuses. I have tried talking to him about it, but he gets defensive. He has said that a good kiss is all he needs to be satisfied, well good for him, I need sex. My love language is intimacy, cuddling, holding hands, kisses. I get none of that. I stay because I love him, but I am tired of it.

Surprising to me how little people knew about hormonal issues back in the 90s. The first woman sounds like she has a low libido due to having children twice. She should’ve visited an OB/GYN or a doctor to see or find out if she has issues with libido. I’m not sure if they had that type of medical advancement in the 90s.

You mean low libido from being overweight, too much fat in a women causes many hormonal imbalances is not because of birth, after we birth and carry that extra weight that is when our health goes down the drain

I can say this from my own experience.... When you dont have children yes sex can be constant but once children come in you get too tired, stressed, anxious ect... Sex will be the last thing on your mind. But with that said if intimacy has just completely stopped there is definitely an underlying problem in the relationship that is much bigger 😖 communication is key to any relationship.... Everything else comes in second.

I strongly disagree on calling someone what they [no longer] struggle with or is controlled by i.e. alcoholic. The man doesn't drink anymore. People wouldn't like it if someone said "You're still fat" despite how hard they worked off the fat w/healthy lifestyle.
When addicts get treatment, they teach them that once you're an addict you're always one. This reinforces that addiction can creep up anytime if they don't conciously combat it everyday

And when you're married there is no more what "I" want and how "I" should look, it's about remaining attractive to your spouse. If you don't think you have to remain attractive to your man, don't get married. Because we all know that you'll get upset if he starts paying attention to the woman who cares about his opinion of how she looks.
