He could obviously not win it in a Haas or Alpine, but he could win it in this version of the McLaren. Putting Lando in the same category as Max is ridiculous. Lando had the fastest car over the last two GPs, and he needed the safety car in one race and did not win the second one. It is quite ironic that Zak is saying this now when his own team is basically disproving the fact.
Whenever this argument comes up for dominant drivers, I always say that any driver can win races in a championship winning car, but not every driver can win a championship in a championship winning car. I think that's what sets the greats apart from the rest.
Max is the GOAT that will be praised and recognized in ten years time.

Imola has proven what kind of driver Max is.

Tracklimits, hard tyres, not in the right window and making no mistakes at all.
Lando drove brilliantly but made 2 light errors that I could see.
So excellent win for Max,well make that 2 wins 😊.
Max can win in a top 3 car, cars that run within 2 to 3 tenths of a second of each other - or in other words races where the cars would be within a 10 second gap at the end.
Redbull: 100% chance
Ferrari: 60% chance
McLaren: 50% chance
Mercedes: 40% chance
Aston Martin: 10% chance
Alpine: 5% chance
AlphaTauri: 2% chance
Haas, Williams, Alfa Romeo: 0% chance
Mercedes aston racing bulls alpine 0%
McLaren if they stay competitive like the last 2 races 30-40% chance even though he would need to get back from a big gap after first few races.
Ferrari also 30-40 if you expect them to be basically on paar with RB from now on but having been a bit lower as of now.
Oh and in my calculations maxs rb Cockpit would got the topdriver of the team in which he takes the spot so there would be a great driver in the rb not perez.
In RB 70-80% chance. Lets see if rb stays in front of of the rest with their car. If ferraei gets faster and both Ferrari äs can be in fron of him he will lose gis point advantage fast same with McLaren
And with last years cars he would have 0 chance in anything else than RB
@@fk4410and that’s just based on the performance of the car. Max is also benefiting from the fact the Redbull team is head and shoulders above the others. They’re on point on just about all the metrics that make a winning team. There’s no way of knowing that he would seamlessly slot into another team and replicate what he’s currently doing at Redbull.
Great drivers like Lauda, Prost, Vettel are proof of this.

When Max first time in the RB team and arrived at the garage.
The way he started to talk about the car and what the team was looking for.
The mechanic all said after two hours that he was something very special .
He ability to talk to the team about the car out on the track is a huge plus for the team.
Max loves F1 to a point.
He is a racing car driver.
So how great are the greats if its only the car? Give the titles to the cars then, dont talk about great drivers then like Lewis , schumacher senna etc etc. They were all just lucky and average like the the rest.

Well we know that max was far away from winning a championship before 2021 when RB was also the fastest car on some weekends before 2021 so there you have the answer

@@fk4410 the difference is Max never believed in "ifs" only "when" . He didn't even talk about being a champion until he was in the actual championship fight. I have total respect for Lando and I firmly believe he has the minerals to be a Champion but it's not me who has to believe it, it's him. Talking about what ifs is basically saying you didn't do a good enough job in the time you had.

You guy are missing the fact that George didn't think he was going to make it to the end on his tires. Toto said Lewis would have gotten George anyway if they didn't bring him in. Also in Suzuka , Lewis let George buy so no need for get backs.
"Should George feel robbed after Imola?" - what an idiotic way to frame the *fact* that time after time George cannot hold onto his tires and the team were genuinely concerned that he would not make it to the end because George has zero tire management for a driver of his tenure in F1. how do yall get paid to cover this sport, then come onto that topic and just frame it in a way thats about stature and teammates "owing" something to the other down the line? How about look at the lap times and listen to what the team actually said about George's race rather than make it some superficial high school argument.

Max wasnt close getting a championship before 2021 so shut up. And the RB was the best car some tracks even back then it was just far away from beeing able to challenge over the whole season
I think that becoming a world champion, is under estimated. You basically have to be flawless as a driver and as a team, and that in let's say 20 out of the 24 races. And both team and driver have to withstand the pressures, under the most demanding circumstances. And who of the other drivers can cope with all the pressures when it really comes to the crunch. And this is both in qualifying and the races. You name them.. and have they proven themselves in those situations? I can name only 3 on the current grid, and those are already World Champions..

Lewis lost in a dominant car. you forgot about 2021 always that English, humor lol...don't get me wrong Leweis is a living legend. But Max has just raised the bar again where it never has been. Noris lol, still has to prove he can have the god tier level Max has been operating on for the last 3 a 4 years. Max is already one of the Greats and that already on his age is unprecedented.

Haha Zac's provocative language is clearly aimed, as it really makes no sense to take it too seriously, to try to use psychological warfare in the hope that Max would become so overheated by his statements that he might make a mistake;- ) Max could have competed for the championship in both the Ferrari and the Maclaren this season!
