@@juezazteka7413 Do you remember "GATA" from the SOX LOS clique in San Marcos ? I remember back in 1992 when I heard about her passing. From what I heard it was very tragic and brutal. The story that I had heard was that she went up to L.A. with one of her homeboys and they were both murdered. May they both rest in peace. She was a good hip hop dancer. I didn't know her but I knew of her. I would see her around.
@@juezazteka7413 Thanks for the reply bro , I never got involved in that lifestyle or culture but I did attend schooling in San Marcos, I went to junior high and high school there so I would see a lot of the guys and girls on campus and in some of my classes before and after they got involved in living the "CRAZY LIFE". It was sad seeing Raza on Raza violence. It was really active in those days. Like I said I saw a lot of these guys and girls when they were just civilians and it was sad to hear about what happened to some of them like in the case of "GATA". When that happened it made the news and the entire high school was made aware of her passing since she attended school there. I knew of and had a few friends growing up that got involved in that life. I remember my neighbor Adrian aka "BIG HAPPY" joined VSM. I also went to school with his homeboy Alberto aka SHAMU from VSM. I also went to junior high with this white dude that later on joined VSM and his gang name was "SHORTY". I remember hearing about him getting shot multiple times and almost dying but by the grace of god he pulled through. If my memory serves me correctly ? , SOX LOS first came into existence in San Marcos around late 1988 into 1989 ? I had heard that a guy named Angel was the one that formed the San Marcos SOX LOS clique ? I could be wrong ? Some of their very first members were a guy that went by the name "SHARKY" , Cory aka "DROOPY", Johnny aka "WETO" and two brothers by the name of Tony aka "PAYASO" ( I think? ) and his brother Chuy. I remember people being scared as F_ _ K of both of them but especially Chuy. I never saw him but I heard he was a big dude and down for his hood. I remember seeing and hearing about another dude banging for them that went by the name "TINY". He was another guy you would hear about that was really down for the hood. I remember one of my skateboard homies introducing me to one of his friends that was a white dude that joined SOX LOS that went by the name "FROSTY". My lady and I remember back in 1989 or 90 when some SERIOUS SH_ T popped off on Mission Ave. right there in the middle of the SOX LOS hood in San Marcos along the train tracks between Sam's market/liquor store and the junior high school. There were Sheriff's all over the place. The story we heard was that SOX LOS got into it with some African American's that had just moved into the neighborhood. The story that was going around was that they claimed Crip ? In any case they were going at it right there on the tracks with fists , rocks , knives and bats. I didn't hear about anyone pulling out guns and getting shot. That was one of the very first big rumbles I had heard about that the San Marcos chapter of the SOX LOS gang got into that was right around the time that they had first come into existence in the city of San Marcos. I remember SOX LOS clicking up with EVD in Escondido and VSM clicking up with VHB in Vista. I hope all the guys I mentioned are now doing well ? , hopefully not dead or in jail ? It's always good to see people that can come out of that life and teach the other generations that there are other routes to take in life besides the gangster life. Sorry for my ramblings bro. SH_ T ! , I'm writing a book ! , ha , ha ! I guess you got me going down memory lane with this topic. I remember this one dude named Omar that was a cool dude. He wasn't in SOX LOS but he had some friends that joined the gang. I hope he is doing well these days ? Again thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment and question. Take care , God bless , one love , brother ! P.S. Stay safe out there ! , this Corona Virus is no joke !
@@juezazteka7413 Thanks but I can't really say it was the right or wrong thing to do. It was just a decision. I don't pass judgement. I live and let live. I just don't like to see people suffer or hurt themselves. I just want to see everybody in a good place. Mentally , physically and financially. There is only one judge and we will all answer to him one day. He's the REALEST "G" of them all , the G.O.D. Everybody goes through different things in life so who are we to talk down on someone when we haven't walked in their shoes. We are all his children and we are all here for a reason. We all have a purpose and a path to follow. Take care bro and thanks again for the conversation.
@@emmanueljames1845 I didn't know him but I hope he is not in a cemetery . I hope he or anybody out there that may have lived the street life and survived it can one day live a life of possibly reaching out to others and help them avoid going down that same road.
