Galle is not old you need to hit Anuradhapura and Polonaruwa up north. Where the great Sinhala Buddhist kings built amazing cities and civilisation. And no slaves were ever used in Sri Lanka.
They are not interested about too much history and local kings

A great video as always Dany. I wonder if you have already visited Kandy yet? If not I'd highly recommend to visit Kandy. Once you are there, make sure to take a stroll around the Kandy lake in the afternoon (after 4pm). It's breathtakingly beautiful in my opinion, and certainly provide the best views of the city. You can also take a boat ride on the lake. Remember, afternoon is the best time to visit Kandy.

Wow, you are brave that train ticket is economy I guess there is no first class like the lovely trains in Italy and the rest of Europe. You must have been dying of heat in those old trains with modest means and no air conditioning. How nice and truly genuine everyone is thus far. That hotel LeGrand is so magnificent. How lucky you are to have stayed there. The fortress is so remarkably well kept and all of the activity around it is as if time stood still. It is outstanding. The hustle and bustle of the city as we say here in the US. Such an outstanding place. So beautiful surrounded by the ocean and sea breeze everywhere you took us was pretty and nice and the people so peaceful and friendly not life threatening at all. No one is asking you for money or trying to sell all kinds of illicit things like other east Asia countries. Thanks again sir.
