Insym the way you can just go to your journal and rule out ghosts DURING A HUNT without dying is incredible. I open my journal in the house and the ghost senses my weakness and then I die every time ☠️

Sanity drain can feel daunting, but mostly when searching ghost room or fetching more gear. Point Hope has taught me to use more firelights for reduced sanity drain, for which the extra hand for lighter was great addition. I had lucky first games with friendly lighthouse shade letting me explore the place in peace to get used to it. Next game was photobombing Thaye. Instead of stepping on salt for photos the ghost insisted on flicking lights on and off nonstop to get me to turn my camera away from the salt and take photo of the light switch interaction instead. With perfect timing he manifests next to the light switch for his butcher form to be immortalized in my "Interaction" photo. Eventually I get salt photos as well, only for him to photobomb me again by walking all over my photos with his DOTS form feet.
i used to watch your videos years ago when i was too scared to play phasmophobia myself. the game always intrigued me. ive now had the game for about a year or two, id say i have a lot of knowledge and yet i still tune into your videos and learn more to this day.
Point hope is the first map I actually have used the sound sensor on. Make a bee line to the top floors and slap one on the top one or two hasn't been too awful.
a good fix for the banshee thing is to make it so the banshee can only roam to the target if it's within a certain range of the ghost. They could make it big enough to cover most of small maps, but small enough that ghosts won't constantly be running around on big maps
I think I just figured out how the devs can rework Yurei to make it actually a fun ghost. Looking into Japanese folklore, Yureis are spirits that are vengeful by nature, but also prefer to haunt at specific times; So there’s a few ways to rework yurei to fit its folklore better: First, its base speed during hunts needs to be increased to match its vengeful nature, Second, while you can’t “make ghosts more aggressive at specific times,” you can make them more aggressive under other conditions, perhaps the Yurei can be more aggressive and do more events the closer to the ghost room you are, or it could be like a mirror of the Thaye where it becomes “younger” or “more aggressive” the longer you stay near it, in which it would get faster as time went on. And if they wanted, they could have a unique interaction with smudge sticks where the next hunter after being smudged is a cursed hunt to indicate the “Likes to haunt at specific times” part of their lore.
I also looked into Goryo ghost lore but honestly, phasmophobia’s devs have Goryo down to the letter already. Goryo are just Onryo that prefer to stay to in their place of nobility, the only hunting change I can think of is that they would move super slow while IN their ghost room, but fast when out of their ghost room to indicate the reluctance to leave their place of nobility, and that’s not very interesting.
@@diogoayres7953That might be a good idea to at least give Goryo something during a hunt, since there’s not really anything else you can do with it, especially knowing that the Goryo dots in general is a creative liberty that has nothing to with its ghost lore.
Actually, it could possibly be done by having the ghost increase in aggression at certain in-game times. For example, it switches between aggressive to passive every 2 in-game minutes that have elapsed. It would make it very obvious what kind of ghost you are dealing with if you pay attention to their behavior.
@@arcanine_enjoyerthat’s also a good idea, I had another idea that was weather dependent, but that would honestly suck. The Yurei is a very interesting ghost with a lot of creative options using its ghost lore and it’s a shame that it’s being wasted on “it can touch doors twice” Edit: although I do like the reverse thaye with cursed hunts idea, that way it at least remains one of the harder ghosts in the game Where it would reward quick work and punish bad use of smudge sticks, and also actually make Yurei vs Goryo not a shot in the dark. But as for the ghost lore, having it “switch modes” is a great idea
I would also like to see Banshees be able to roam to you regardless of floor. If they're concerned about a Banshee permanently being near you rather than in their ghost rooms on a big map, maybe they could give it a cooldown between usages ability? For example, after a Banshee roams to you, it can't trigger its ability again until a minute after it returns to the ghost room.
I love the map and want to play it more often but the tight spaces, breaker being spammed off by the ghost, therefore leading to the ghost being more aggressive leads to it being spicier runs on point hope. I moved to intermediate just to get the secret because the spicy ghosts, otherwise I was barely able to get anything done.
My friend and I went into PH for our first proper game (other than our lookthrough round). I went up the lighthouse to get the breaker while my friend stayed behind to check the rooms for the ghost. I hear them say "hey I found the ghost" as it was in the entrance, and then they yell and their comms turn to static. I ask if they're okay. Silence. I go back downstairs and they're dead on the floor. I immediately left with Demon. (It was correct)
I'm learning so much from watching your videos! I just now did something I think is pretty cool, I had a poltergeist, but I had never seen the poltergeist explode a pile of stuff, so I made a huge polty pile in the ghost room. Sadly, nothing happened for a while, probably since my sanity was quite high, until I thought of something I learnt from you, which was to smudge the room to temporarily increase activity, so I did that, and the pile immediately exploded! It was awesome! I even got a steam achievement for it lol
I typically use the paramic to find the ghost room (I get unnecessarily lucky with paranormal sounds on that thing), and the new tier 3 upgrade has made things like Point Hope infinitely easier. Thank god for that change.
The way I feel, I think it should be a medium map Yes, it's "the smallest small map" by pure square meters and walking distance, but the fact that all the rooms are stacked on top of each other and you have to climb them in a circular manner means that it is actually more in terms of maple Lodge/prison in terms of how long it takes you to initially find the ghost room and reach the ghost room with each trip. Also, the hiding spots on the ground floor suck a** but the other ones are good
Like you said, they should add a ghost that becomes slow when you look at it but speeds up the longer you look at it. But it should take a little bit for that to happen so that its harder to figure out if it is a Deogen or the other one.
1:11:19 Imagine a ghost where the more you look at it, the slower it gets but in the next hunt it gets equivalently faster without any way to get slower. Then the next hunt it resets.
had a really bad spirit on point hope, it kept roaming and cycling between the bathroom, the room below it and the room above it, it was also insanely aggressive and continued hunting from wherever, didn’t even use the crucifix once because of how much it was just moving around, eventually it started to slightly calm down and i was able to perfect game it but that was definitely one of the worst ghosts i’ve ever experienced 😭
i.m one of ur new fans tbh and i started phasmo bc of you . the new sound update is kinda crazy bad , ghost like myling is soooo hard to recognise, i hope the devs fix sounds or just do rework for myling to be easier to recognise it

I keep thinking of something like a maintenance entrance that takes you to the top faster but you can't access any of the other floors when you use that entrance.
Not gonna lie, point hope is very scary for me. I've noticed when I play on maps I don't play on often, I get scared more easily (high school and sunny meadows especially), but my god does point hope do a good job at being scary while still being a somewhat small map.
They need to eliminate the Yurei in favor of a heat-centric ghost. Kind of an opposite Hantu. It prefers heat and will never blow out a candle. It's faster with the breaker on but firelights make it less active because it wants to be near them. Incense doesn't work as long because it likes the burning. It should never leave UV because the opposite end of the spectrum from UV is Infrared which is where heat is emitted. The longer the player is in the room with the ghost, the faster it will be initially (kind of like opposite Thaye)
Once my friends and i were on point hope for the first time and we had a ghost in the first room, it killed 2 people that were new to the game and me and my friend were at the top absolutely clueless what was going on. We eventually tried to leave but our sanity was too low and it kept hunting on the first floor to stop us from leaving. Ghost was just a Spirit btw.

I think mimic should be reworked in a way they dont show orbs on 0 evidence really, mimic is supposed to be a hard ghost that confuses ppl with diff abilities but its also the easiest ghost to find simply because it has orbs
like give him a buff so the only way you figure out mimics is by hunting behaviour, like I just dont see the point of mimic when you can just find evidence for it easily

i will never play any this game not because i am scared but because if you want to play solo some ghost have group powers and some are more potent solo and when i want to learn in multiplayer i always get kicked.
jinn will be fast, but only if it's far away from you, and only if it can see you. so to test for it, you need to get the ghost to chase you down a long straight path. on tanglewood the best place is if you're at the garage door, and the ghost is in the laundry room. the breaker has to be on, otherwise jinn can't use this ability. and if the ghost ever turns off the breaker*, it can't be a jinn. opposite of the hantu, which can never turn it on. *if the ghost turns on a light, and THAT causes the breaker to trip, it doesn't count. only if the breaker is switched directly, which gets an EMF 2 reading at the breaker
not on Point Hope BUT i was doing weekly challenge, got pretty boring ghost, thought "oh its a Shade again" BUT it did an airball ghost event and drained 20-25% OF SANITY??? how??? i picked Jinn cuz it can drain 25% of sanity by event BUT IT WAS A SHADE ALL ALONG???
@@muuajizin23 jinns move faster when they have line of sight of a player but are far away, by going into the garage there is a clear line of sight for the ghost to see him, but is far enough away to see the speed boost the jinn gets

You have no idea what you're talking about. I talked about it with the devs and dk confirmed that this game was mega bugged. The banshee can roam up and down one floor on point hope BUT this will fail at a certain "max distance" and this max distance has been set incorrectly and will therefore almost always fail. When it fails for this specific reason it still gets added to the stats and it will try to spam it again like crazy. That's why the ability count is so insanely high. So I was correct.
@@Insym I hope you read this because its not a matter of who is correct and who is not. Im not trying to be disrespectful or anything here, just trying to make sense of it all. For starters, you mean that the ghost correctly wants to "banshee roam", but did not because of incorrect set distance. Now the ghost does nothing since it didnt roam and is in normal non "banshee roam" mode and because you are in the correct range it tries again correctly but fails because of incorrect set distance again. So while you were correct about it being bugged in one way, its also how the banshee would normally work if you were for example 2 meters away from it? What i mean is this: "im gonna banshee roam. oh he is here already guess im in normal mode again. oh im in normal mode time to banshee roam." you see where im going with this? Wheel spin this. im gonna bet everything i have that the next time you get a banshee that you are gonna have another "bug" with it because you fail to realise that this is how banshees work and that they regularly are the ghost with most "abilities used" counter because of the nature of its abilities. Respectfully, i love you, you made me the phasmo player i am not gonna deny that but im gonna have to disregard anything you say about the banshee because im using what you say im wrong about and i never had a problem with banshees. Keep up the good work much love
Okay so I talked to the devs to check the truth and we're both wrong. The banshee doesn't even really have any unique ability interestingly. A normal ghost can go into a "wander" state where it walks around randomly and might go to different rooms. A normal ghost with dots evidence can go into "dots state" where it will either walk around randomly or goes towards the closest player (it will do this regardless of if there is a dots sensor or not). For the banshee both these "states" turn into abilities and will now exclusively go towards the target if that player is close by. The ability count will go up every time the banshee goes into either dots state or wander state, but it should obviously only count this if the target is close by and that still fails often according to the devs. So the ability count is still way too high a lot of the time. But it can be high if the target is close by for a lot of the time (has to be in the room basically which is exactly why I said in this video the ability count was bugged because I was barely in the room) The banshee scream does not count for the stats. It's only this wander and dots state that matters. Hope that helps!
@@Insym This is very interesting indeed. The first sentence had me thinking it was some kind of troll answer but yeah after some deep thinking this does make sense in every manner. I can see how this would work in a coding environment. Thank you for taking the time to clarify everything on the matter and thank the devs for making knowledge like this public. Ill keep that in mind from now on although i doubt this all has impact on gameplay. Friendliest content creator award for sure haha

How the jinn test works?
jinn will be fast, but only if it's far away from you, and only if it can see you.
so to test for it, you need to get the ghost to chase you down a long straight path. on tanglewood the best place is if you're at the garage door, and the ghost is in the laundry room.
the breaker has to be on, otherwise jinn can't use this ability. and if the ghost ever turns off the breaker*, it can't be a jinn. opposite of the hantu, which can never turn it on.
*if the ghost turns on a light, and THAT causes the breaker to trip, it doesn't count. only if the breaker is switched directly, which gets an EMF 2 reading at the breaker
how does he test for a jinn in this video where he brings it to the garage
bro i would play phasmophopbia but some random 50 year old spam reported me and edited false pictures and got me banned
Wait insym just prestiged in last video how'd he have all tier 3 items unlocked so fast?
look at his level, it's pre prestige
40:42 how are you just walking through her? Is that a smudge mechanic or something?
Nah it's just that the ghost can't see you so it can't kill you
How tf did you survive the hunt at 29 min lol 😂
A minute ago?!Whow 😮
U should play blair
not on Point Hope BUT i was doing weekly challenge, got pretty boring ghost, thought "oh its a Shade again" BUT it did an airball ghost event and drained 20-25% OF SANITY??? how??? i picked Jinn cuz it can drain 25% of sanity by event BUT IT WAS A SHADE ALL ALONG???
Actually it is hard since you cant hear sound on different floor
People Say the New Map is INSANE, Let's Find Out - Phasmophobia NO EVIDENCE Challenge
Could you play more lethal company please
wtf were those sounds at 31:29? don't think they are throws.
INSYM PLZ PLAY BIOSHOCK IM TERRIBLE AT VIDEO GAMES BUT I WANNA KNOW THE LORE 😭😭😭😭😭😭
blahaj map :3
Is his avatar sped up? So frustrating.
I did not understand how he tested jinn attract the ghost to the de garage in tanglewood, someone can help me?
If I saw correctly, the ghost turned off the breaker right before entering the garage? And Jinns cannot turn off breakers
@@acetraineraster5171that too but also when jinns see you, they speed up to catch up to you then slow back down to normal speed
@@acetraineraster5171 i thought this, but in 11:40 he said "it's not a jinn" but the ghost did not turnd off the breaker
@@muuajizin23 jinns move faster when they have line of sight of a player but are far away, by going into the garage there is a clear line of sight for the ghost to see him, but is far enough away to see the speed boost the jinn gets

1:32:06 lol 3 minutes 46 abilities? you okay there? 20 minutes investigation let me remind you about the screams... quite possible it did a lot of screams and while you where in the room for 3 minutes maybe it did like 10 "moving to you" abilities... also it was singing like hell bruh you not paying attention at all.
But it can be high if the target is close by for a lot of the time (has to be in the room basically which is exactly why I said in this video the ability count was bugged because I was barely in the room)
The banshee scream does not count for the stats.

I miss getting $5K in a perfect game on 13x 😞 devs destroyed that which was the most fun part of phas for me so I stopped playing.
I love insym, but the ghost gambling is getting old, imo. It was cool when it was here and there but every time now?
