As a guitarist this has to be such an honor. A top luthier company recognizing you're playing and body of work as good enough to build a guitar with your name on it. I wouldn't need no Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even though he deserves it.
About damn time. I still can’t believe the guy from 24 got a signature guitar from Gibson before Frank Hannon got his signature model. Frank’s been slinging a Gibson onstage for over 30 years now, and it’s some much deserved recognition.
Hello, I want you to know just how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. Words cannot express how grateful I am for your kindness and generosity. Thank you so much for being there for me through thick and thin. You are a true fan, and I am so grateful for that. Your positivity and kindness have made an unbearable time a little bit better, and your words of encouragement inspired me during a difficult time. You cannot imagine how much strength your support has given me during a difficult time. I appreciate you more than words can say. I hope you keep being a great fan; you are Watch out for some fresh music 🎶 👌
Frank Hannon is an underrated guitar player and singer song writer. I've met him one time at Harlows cigar bar in the 90's Sacramento, he is the same on camera as off. Vary down to earth relaxed individual. A real pleasure to meet and something I'll never forget.

Frank has always been a big influence on me! He also had a big impact on me buying my Gibson EDS-1275 and Hummingbird. I will definitely be looking to add this one to my collection.
I live in the Philadelphia area and I was at"the five-man acoustical jam"show that eventually became the CD from the Trocadero."Love Song"is me and my childhood sweetheart's song.I haven't seen her in almost thirty years.but I can't say I never went on to her husband's Facebook just so I can see what she looks like now.We both look old.But the first time a dude ever falls in love with a woman(she wasn't even an adult yet,nor was I).There is very poignant moments from that first love for every man that stand out in his mind for the rest of his life. This song is most certainly one of them.My wife knows this story.I can't even play this song on my guitar when she's around or she gets mad...lol
Congratulations Frank. Though I have a hard time reconciling "easier is better" every time I hear Modern Day Cowboy haha. Hope you still see Tommy, you guys were great together.
I love that sound. So balanced, but it has a bright, edgy bite to it, if that makes any sense. The recording engineers must love it. Also, in almost every video like this, someone comes along and comments that the guitarist is so underrated, and, usually they aren’t at all. Now, I’m going to be THAT GUY and say that Frank Hannon is way underrated, but this time it’s true! The guy is fantastic, but comparatively unknown out in the world. I mean this is first signature model? That proves my point right there. Also, also, is that his house? That’s wild! Look at that ceiling! Baseball, I mean music, has been very, very good to him. Not bad for a bunch of dudes from Sactown.
Known everywhere for his kindness and generosity. His reputation precedes him. Love, indeed. Congrats to the nicest guy in the business. Is that a standard Dove finish? It seems more vibrant

After 30 years and dozens upon dozens of times in my life of saving up for a nice Gibson acoustic, I ALWAYS walk out of the guitar store with a really nice.....Les Paul! I've owned 30 to 40 Les Pauls of which were supposed to be a nice acoustic guitar.
@@stephenbonshire5678 Which model specifically did you buy? I recently picked up the 60's Standard in bourbon burst. Cant wait to receive it(purchased off ebay). Btw, this year the Standards are finally about being a Les Paul and nothing more which I've been looking forward to.
I own two pieces of this serie with the "small" bridge and wings, a '73 and a '76. The oldest belonged to the late Marcel Dadi, the second came from Germany and I own it since 1985, equipped with an Accuvoice Gibson pickup (Fishman I guess). I replaced it for a b-band Anyway, .this is an acoustic, undersaddle sensor must be just an accessory, the b-band hard film without shim was fantastic. This model is really fantastic, I agree, Franck ! There was some fake infos from obcessed blabla "specialist" prefering the monster bridge ... I disagree. My two "Loves" were in "custom Kalamazoo" series rectangular orange/white label, the big point that I will regret on this re-issue will be the Ebony fretboard : a feeling of Black-beauty LesPaul on an acoustic ! ! ! The slim neck is fabulous. I have left two Montana's because of its neck ! The second is the yellow colour missing in the bridge area, not aestathical but historical : Elvis (red) Dove was from the same serie as mine. The woods are indeed responsible of this fantastic sound, and the legend of the "famous" Stones Hummingbird come from this: it was a MAPLE (therefore fake) Hummingbird ! So, for me it's a good new, to Gibson, thank you ! Just release a "custom" version with eboby fretboard and bridge please ! Thanks to this, my Dove with sing for you a long time more ...
Humm… Well my fellow French compatriot I believe no one on this post has a clue who Marcel Daddy was ??? Anyways that s a good point on your stones story, so you re talking about an hummingDove ? A cherry dove with an hummingbird pickguard … still a bird story .
Thats a Nice Dove I allways wanted either a Dove or a Hummingbird, I acually put a deposit on a hummingbird about 25yrs ago & was paying a little every week at a local shop. But then I blew my back out on a job really bad I had to have 2 spinal fusions in a 5yr span. Then I lost all the sight in my right eye & 40% in my left eye from glaucoma, Need less to say I never got my guitar.:(

Every Gibson acoustic I've tried sounded dead. They make the soundboards and bracing too thick. I do however like how they look like they came out of a 50's Western.
Good to see one of the best guitar players out there get some recognition. More people need to know how much ass frank kicks.
Beautiful Guitar! Couldn't be more deserved. Frank Hannon is a legend and an amazing songwriter.
I'll second that

No you didn't
We're blown away too, only a Gibson is still only good enough.
Frank is one of my all time favorite rock stars- just a cool and down to earth guy.
You rule, Frankie!🤘🏻👍🏻
Awesome, Frank Hannon deserves this one. Now we need his SG signature.

Wonderful guitarist! Love Frank and Tesl6 from 🇻🇳
Frank is a good- natured kind of guy, I really respect his work as a musician. I grew up with my friends playing love song with our guitars.
One of my favorite players...
Well deserved! Franks doesn’t just play the guitar. He makes it sing🎶 I’d love to get my hands on one of those beauties🤘😎
Fantastic guitar! Beautiful!
Love ya, Frank!❤❤
Totally 💯 beautiful
That a beautiful guitar!! Btw, when a new “the collection” episode comes out? I love a series!! Thanks Gibson Tv 🤟🏼🥰
Covid-19 has affected our filming schedule, but more episodes of The Collection will be coming this later this Summer.
GibsonTV thanks for the answer!

Seems like a nice guy! Congrats Frank. The guitar is absolutely beautiful. Hope I get to play one someday.

Right on Frank...I'm sure Greg Golden appreciates this too...from you!
I wonder if Gibson Kept the double X braced top for this Norlin era dove custom reedition ? To keep the original sound I believe it matters.

Someday I'll hopefully own a Dove, I bought my first Gibson 6 months ago (2019 les paul standard) and I'm a Gibson man for life!!!!

I got the 60's Standard in Bourbon burst!!! Lol. And she's a Freaking Dream
@@stephenbonshire5678 Nice! I'm envious because I'm still waiting to receive mine! Was there any issues with fit, finish, playability etc?
Wow, 30 to 40? That’s crazy! Did each one sound better than the last one? How many do you have now? I only have 3. 😔

Rosewood??? How did that happen?
Frank Say hey to your lovely lady wife!!!
I'm sure that it's completely coincidental but 'Love Doves' were also a particularly strong strain of ecstasy tablets in the mid-90's. Allegedly.
Hey Gibson, Who you gonna sue next for your innovative design? Let us know to gain support from the guitar community! lol
