To make these 6-9M crochet baby booties I used about 34g of DK weight yarn ( James C Brett baby DK) with a 3mm hook. You can also crochet these booties smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and yarn weight. See below. Just remember these sizes are not exact they are approximate since not all babies are the same size and since tension can vary from one person to another.

To make smaller or bigger:
0-3M use 2mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use 2.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-9M use 3mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
9-12M use 3.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
12-24M use 4mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
*** If prompted to change hook size just go up or down 1/2 hook size from which ever hook size you started with above or used last.

Hi Sara, I feel so frustrated because I have put everything on hold...I was diagnosed with Shingles on Tuesday...was in so much pain was at the hospital. I am on a lot of painkillers including morphine for pain...just resting and praying for this to end. I miss crocheting.😭

When your counting 56 sts and halving them are you missing out the chain?
I normally tell you if the chains count or not. In most patterns the chains don’t count.
Crochet for baby booties is it must use baby soft 100 per cent cotton cannot mix with other yarn

Size is not of new born baby booties
No they are not. They are for 6-9m. Look in the information box for the sizes including newborn and how to make it.
