I record the videos with the Xbox game bar that came with my computer. While it seems like a weird option, it actually works really well! I think most Windows computers come with it now, but you might be able to download it.
I edit using Windows Live Movie Maker. That I definitely could've upgraded, but I've gotten so used to the ease of using it that its been hard to switch to updated Movie Maker, Vegas, or literally anything else. XD
