My ex wife was Hungarian....love the people and the country.........its funny when you go north of budapest along the danube the village's are filled with retired germans...lol They live better for the cost is much cheaper then Germany. And there isn't lot of immigrants of the darker persuasion if you get my drift. Funny my in laws were around in the soviet times in hungry and they hated the US for they never came to save them from the soviets...today they actually like russians more then americans least the older people. One funny story my father-in-law used to go across the border to buy hard to get items coming back the soviet border guards would take things you bought for themselves at the border.....so he used to create storage spaces in the air conditioning vents in the car and pack the goods in them so the guards couldnt find them. My ex has remarried here in the states I plan on gong back to hungary to see it again soon.... I am conflicted to go and see my old in laws...they were so very nice to me.......Its been yrs since the divorce
Good story. The world has certainly changed since those days. Hey...if you get back, go see your old inlaws. After what I know about you, I'm sure they will be happy to see you.
