I'm always stunned when looking at a Lloyd-Wright building and think "this was the 1930s?". It's simultaneously leading the way to Mid Century Modern, yet futuristic even today. Genius.
I was there for a few days with out knowing what it was . I wandered onto the property and was invited to stay for a few days . I was mostly impressed by the impromptu jam sessions and mini classical concerts . It wasn't till years later that I learned anything about Frank Lloyd wright. I met his wife and she was very kind to me.
On my list of places to visit before I die. I understand both Mr.& Mrs.Wrights remains are somewhere in the area. Someone knows & the public should be able to pay their respects.
Cool. I always design everything in my head first. Then in my day dreams I live in it for awhile. I am glad to hear FLW did the same. A lot of his style is Asian, and Minimalist. I think most people like nature in their homes.
Been there. Incredible. Loved the gift shop too can buy books, small things like coasters with FLW art on them all the way up to floor lamps designed by FLW for about $1200. The tour was so worth the money and time.
It would be incredible to own a FLW home, but I would probably be torn between wanting to "modernize" it, and not wanting to mess with FLW art work!? It would be a frustrating dilema lol :)

Why doesn't anyone use the example of his masterpiece in San Rafael, CA? That is amazing to see.
Where can I get one of those chairs?

+Jochen Walther or you could just ask me. I am Taliesin and I know a whole bunch about myself.
Yea sure.
Jochen Walther Well, I do. I know what you mean though, you're talking about the building.
Keeps pronouncing Taliesin wrong. There is no "t" on the end.
it is not mentioned how much he PLAYED with the truth--- he once claimed that he designed the Empire State building and other things not so.
Americans never liked Frank Lloyd so saying he was an American Architect when he himself considered to be European.
Please explain your comment.

it is painfully obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about and yet, there you are, talking away. Truth, "in brace " it.
