Hi, I have a question. How do i install speaker on pre installed brackets? Should I remove the brackets or install speaker on brackets. Is there any video? When I install speaker on bracket there is small gap between ceiling and grill. Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I've got some Klipsch CDT-5650-C IIs on the way and notice reading on mounting options on Crutchfield that they recommend "replacing the original mounting panel" with 1/2" or 3/4" plywood or MDF vs. just mounting using the drywall. I haven't seen anyone do this on any videos yet - I assume the speakers will probably be fine in just the drywall? I'm using these as rear surrounds in a 7.2 setup so not asking them to do too much. Was just curious on your opinion. Thanks again!
Wow! Home owner not a pro installer. Built my home but I have just the speaker wire left hanging with a small hole for each ceiling speaker...I ran it all while it was frame. I have not picked out speakers yet and was wondering how can I do this myself. #1 I need to find those bag I have 9' ceiling for 3600sqft home...excellent clean way to do it. #2 what was the name of that tool to cut the hole? Made it look so easy. #3 last think I am going 8" speakers but what brands again you recommend that has that easy bracket setup? Thank you thank you for this video!!
Should be links for the bags and keyhole saw in description. Speaker wise just confirm they have a pre install bracket - not rough in but the ones with grill and mounting frame. Cheers. Hope we help you out. If you want Klipsch or Origin we can help you out with pricing.

You could build a small ring for the speakers using wood and slide in back behind he speakers. Really not needed.
