- Hey guys! Today I decided to put 2 new drugstore concealers to the test! Both concealers are supposed to be full coverage and long-wearing, so I thought I’d compare the two to see if one is better than the other! I wore the New Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer on one side of my face, and the Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Under Eye Concealer! Which one do you like better?? CONCEALER UPDATE!!!: After filming and before taking off my makeup, I decided to take a flash photo to test for any flashback. There was definitely slight flashback with the CoverGirl concealer!! So.. if you’re in need of a concealer that will work in flash photography, I’d go with the Maybelline one :) Hope that helps!! xoxo

I really appreciate that you used a sheer foundation and used the concealers to give you coverage vs a full coverage foundation and just adding the concealers to your undereye. that made things way easier to see and compare. Love you so much!

Love this kind of comparison! I can't afford a lot so I want to buy the right thing the first time if possible. It's helpful to see someone who had similar skin to mine find multiple products that work and that I can afford!

Comparative wear test like this is actually applicable for products that have almost the same claims, just like today's upload. I would love to see more of this especially for launches that are happening within same month so we could asses which one to go for.

I havnt found a drugstore concealer i enjoy like the candid .i use the banana to brighten. actually just bought another shade too. Ive been very interested in this new concealer but bought the elf camo one instead...Great idea though 💡
I love the Revlon Candid but I definitely wanna try the covergirl
I tried both the Candid and the Covergirl concealers. I like the Covergirl better, although I still like Shape Tape the best. I was surprised I didn't like Candid because the Candid foundation is my everyday go to. But for me it had almost no coverage and it didn't look smooth.
A good concealer is what I need in this hot weather
I adored this style of video. I'm kind of a concealer hoarder and I will probably end up buying both but I love knowing the coverage and formula. I already have the CoverGirl which is amazing but I will probably try the superstay too. Hehe. ^^

Loved this style of the video. I like how you compared two of the same products. It was simple and reviews of a lot of new products can be overwhelming. If we are looking for one type of product and don’t know which this type of video helps us make this decision.
Loved this wear test! I just got the Covergirl and I’ve been using it every day and I am so impressed! It really has stood out! Great longevity and great coverage, and cheap!
I just bought the covergirl one after using nothing but the shape tape for a year now so I’m very well versed on the shape tape. I was highly impressed with the coverage, specially because, like you said, the formula is thinner but somehow it’s extremely pigmented, blends like a dream, disappears my pores better than anything and most importantly hides my under eye circles very well.
As someone who’s a no foundation/concealer-only type of makeup wearer... yay! Please keep these thorough drugstore concealer reviews coming! ❤️

I have the covergirl and it was amazing! i was shocked at how good it was, the coverage and wear is great!
I love the comparison videos. They will truly help people save money because they know the facts of each product. The way you describe them some people may actually like your description of the other product better or visaversa. I had the hardest time with shape tape concealer the first time I purchased it. I had never used a product so thick plus I have very dry skin. At first I couldn't make it work for me, but I payed enough for it to keep me trying. I absolutely cannot apply shape tape with a beautyblender. Wet or dry it doesn't matter. It just doesn't work for me. What I found that works perfectly and made me now LOVE my shape tape is I finally tried using a medium to soft dense bristled complexion brush. To be specific I use the wide bristle head, short handled E.L.F. blending brush. It changed the entire situation for me. Now I can easily apply my shape tape and it taught me that I needed to be moisturizing with a heavier moisturizer before applying my makeup which has also helped me tremendously. I love using the Neutrogena water boost hydro gel, allowing it to sink in for a few mins then I apply the Bobbie Brown I❤IT sooo much!!!!.... vitamin enriched face base as my primer. I also allow that a few minutes to warm up to my skin temp. I use my fingers to apply my moisturizer and face base. I use a little less than pea sized amount of both and that works perfectly for me. For anyone who may be reading this comment. I have fair to light skin, I do tan easily, but I avoid it completely on my face with 50spf sunscreen which is in my IT cc foundation. I do not nor have I ever had a problem with acne. I have some freckling on my face and shoulders. When I tell you I have dry skin I mean DRY like the desert. I have to moisturize my entire body daily. So if you have dry skin like I do and haven't liked shape tape. Maybe you can give it another try using a dense bristed blending brush and making certain your skin is hydrated well. The IT CC cream also does a great job of moisturizing the skin.

That covergirl concealer is so bomb, I cannot put it down since I bought it. BEST drugstore concealer out there, imo.

I do love this comparing concealer because i always have a hard time buying the right kind , shade, texture for my skin. This gave me a decision to buy the covergirl and the price unbeatable thanks for sharing and showing how to apply it . love it.

Concealers are some of my favorite things to buy. I have acne just like you and for me the NARS soft matte complete concealer always covers my blemishes!!! You should try it if you haven't already! ❤️

I like the battle of the products. I think the cover girl side looked better, the differences that I could see were slight but the one side of your nose looked better to me. I also like cover girl is cruelty free. Thanks, Allie.
I feel like the covergirl side for the under eye was a lot brighter but I think that the maybelline side did a good job covering the blemishes ( initially) so for blemishes, I think the maybelline one looked pretty good :).
I would love to see a video where you try out the best concealers from the same brand. So the best concealers from maybelline, covergirl, elf, etc
I watched this video when it first came out and I was at Walmart a couple days ago and decided to look at the CoverGirl concealers. I was surprised to find 2 $2 off coupons for CoverGirl products on the display! I took it as a sign and bought one using the coupon! Haha. I also thought I was the same color as you but I picked the shade light nude & I was very pleased with the coverage for when I don't want to wear foundation/heavy makeup. So glad & greatful for your recommendations ❤️

Pleasantly surprised! At the beginning, I randomly guessed that you would like the Maybelline best. Then I heard all of the reasons that the Covergirl was so amazing (better shade range, less expensive, more product for the money, and cruelty free!) and I am so delighted that you like that one the best! Thanks for this review. I'm a mature woman and concealers that have a thinner formula work better for my skin than a concealer like Shape Tape. Thicker formulas just get cakey and amplify fine lines and wrinkles. I currently use a Mabelline concealer but I'll definitely try Cover Girl.

I have never found a drug store concealer that I’ve enjoyed. They’re always too dark, too thick, crease, or are way too drying. I picked up the covergirl concealer and I AM IN LOVE. It is the perfect shade, coverage, and it wears SO well. I’m so happy I finally have a concealer that I like!

Hi Allie: Yes, I like these kinds of videos - with one caveat. If you're going to finish your makeup anyway, I wish you'd do it on camera. I just enjoy watching you put on your makeup to see how you're doing it and what you're wearing so it is a little bit of a letdown when you go off camera to finish it. xo

I just bought the Laura mercier concealer because of you and I love it because of how lightweight and blendable it is! So I totally trust your recommendations.
Also, I think you should totally try the Lashcraft Big Volume mascara from the Sephora line. It’s pretty affordable and it’s the best mascara I have ever tried! I think you would like it because we have similar tastes in eyelash looks (very full & voluminous)!! I would love to see your review on it!

Love this video idea! How about doing a “showdown” of your most loved concealers foundations powders etc. ones that are newer maybe older? Like I would personally love to see how maybe an covergirl matte made foundation measures up to superstay or maybe an old elf eyeshadow palette that you loved compares to their new opposites attracts palette etc.
