    It sounds good. Time to put an FP3 on it and get rid of the lean factory tune.

      Agreed, we have one ready to go. Just need to throw on a few more slip ons and then we'll get on header/slip on combos.

    so here what Ive been told...with a grain of salt........once you add anything to a Milwaukee 8 you MUST re-tune it. Also I particularly was looking to do VH headers (power duels) with the RCX mufflers and a TTS tuner ......Hoping to get the sound my friend does which is incredible...BUT its a 2016 RoadKing VTwin.......I was told by a rep that they are not getting the proper tune and maintaining the HP and Torque when using header pipes on a milwakee 8 yet........????

      Hey Mike, There's a lot to go over so if you get a chance either give me a call at 1-800-520-8525. To give you a direct yet brief answer, just slip ons don't require tuning anything more does. That said, re-tuning any modern motorcycle even from stock can have benefits. When we talk about "needing" to re-tune though, no you don't NEED to re-tune every time you change something. If you do what you mentioned I would recommend the FP3. You can do it yourself easily and adjust anytime you need to without it costing any extra money.

    Why are so many new M8 owners complaining that this engine doesn't sound Harley-like? And when, if this engine is so good, will it be offered in the Softail group?

    So how did you fit the right side one without changing the header pipes? I have a 2017 FLHR Road King and V&H told me the only way to make their slip ons work is to add the Power Duals. Mid Summer he said there were suppose to be putting out the 2 into 1 Pro Pipe.

      Hey Malcolm,
      As long as you get the part number we're using here they fit no problem. I have no idea what the person is talking about. This set is for a 2017 HD Touring model only, so everything fits right up. Feel free to give us a call or shoot over an e mail if you have any other questions!

      So the right side is larger than the left side correct?

    • @WestEndMotorsports
      @WestEndMotorsports  7 років тому +1

      Absolutely, 100%. The right side is 2 1/4 I believe and the left is 1 3/4".

      Malcolm Todd, so V&H are coming out with a pro pipe for the M8 ? I've been trying to find a two into one for a few months now. d&d racing an bassani have them but ranging from $989 to $1200

    It looks like only one pipe has exhaust coming out .... that's odd.

      Hey Keith, that's because the stock headers are still on. They're designed to drive most of the exhaust through one side so the Catalytic converter can reduce the fine particulates. That's the reason some of these sound a little lop sided. Not every manufacturer is altering the left and right side for stock headers. It's also the main reason aftermarket headers would be beneficial. We'll be throwing them on soon and re-installing the slip ons, so stay tuned and let us know what you think after that.

      I have power-dual headers w/ this same exhaust. I am getting the same (one-side) exhaust flow in the video.
