Really great that Sam and Colby are discussing what happens when production quality becomes too good. I was working with them for that period of time, pushing for that quality, and that was a huge learning experience for me that high production quality if not done right, has a huge risk of diminishing authenticity,. That's S&C's value prop, authenticity. So they're right to keep to that.

Honestly, I've only ever clicked on Mr. Beast videos because of the thumbnail and I'm like.. wow he's really doing this? Insane. But coming across Sam and Colby, they're wholesome. I look forward to their content, I can sit there and binge their videos! I feel like they make more of a connection for me.
I stumbled upon sam and colby by chance, and it was when they were getting into their ghost hunting, and I gotta say, as a (now) 30 year old, it's much more grabbing than the stuff they did before. This gives them a broader audience.

as being a UA-cam fanatic, I set aside time to watch these guys right when their video comes out, where I'm not as loyal or care as much when a different UA-camr posts a 20 minute video. I love their style of videos and wish more creators did it.
Their videos are scary because we know it's real we know they are really experiencing paranormal activities. That's what makes them amazing like I trust them and their genuine ❤️. Their comedy does help their videos not be too scary and kinda fun at the same time. I've been a fan since the warehouse video when the door slammed, and I haven't missed a Sunday since then.
I agree. I was going to comment about their genuineness and how it makes them trust worthy. If someone farts they tell us about it 😆 they don’t let the ghosts take credit for any noise they didn’t make, even if they could pass it off as paranormal they don’t and I appreciate that because it’s difficult to trust paranormal UA-camrs. That trust needs to be there because the content requires it and I think most of us subscribers can say we trust them and be sincere.
I am 45 years old and honestly I truly ejoy watching Sam and Colby with my twins who are 15. They are so real and down to earth I always look forward to watching their videos. They have grown and matured so much through the years ad this past year ha really shown through in their content. Keep up the great work guys.

They are in the right headspace with their content, that's why I disagree with some fans when they say they should have a Netflix show it just wouldn't feel right and would be way too over-produced I like the feeling of being there with them and them talking directly into the camera as if they were talking straight to us. Plus they are very genuine and don't overdo things like some other creators. Definitely my favorite UA-camrs at the moment, they are the only ones I look forward to watching.
I, as a 14 year old, feel so inspired by Sam and Colby and how they used to be in the trap house and with TFIL just because a lot of youtubers you see don't seem to be themselves, or enjoy creating content, like they just want the fame and the money. What I've always wanted was to make a difference in the world before I die, and it was something I have always been so passionate about, but growing up in a generation of hate and change, makes it hard to find that hope that I can succeed in youtube. When I was probably around 10, I was always around people saying, " To not struggle in life, you must work a 9 to 5 job until retirement, " and saying stuff like " growing up is going to be horrible and tiring until you are old enough to use your savings, " and that has never been something I wanted. Nobody does, but I would try to think of ways to avoid that, to the point I started saving money in my early teens. So seeing Sam and Colby do things they love and make the most out of their life, while doing a job they loved just brought joy to my life, it gave me the hope I needed to realize, I can't settle for a typical job to live a typical life. I guess this was a big rant but the point I'm making is life is to short to settle for something that doesn't make you happy. It WILL take a lot of work and it WILL be hard but we all need to push through because it will work out in the end. Thank you Sam and Colby for being such an inspiration to so many people around the world. Thanks to you guys, I know I will live to my full potential and I'll always make the most out of my life for years to come.
I'm 71 years old & only recently discovered Sam & Colby as part of my interest in the Paranormal. I've been binging them ever since. Very interesting Guys, very real. Great senses of humor. I really think they have the capability to produce Documentaries for TV also. Best of Luck in everything you do, Sam & Colby!

i feel like when you build your brand on just having fun with your friends it's all people will want to see. i've been watching people like sam and colby and the sidemen for about the same time, starting circa 2013, when their content was just typical low-effort youtube/vine videos. the sidemen definitely suffered from it more, but over the years i feel both channels started prioritising production and quality and moved away from letting themselves have fun like they would off camera. it's been very refreshing seeing both channels move back to what they originally were, and the fact that it has raised view and sub counts by a significant amount makes me so happy. authenticity > production any day

I found Sam & Colby last year while I was in quarantine with covid. They definitely got me through those 2 weeks. I binged all of their stuff and now am a huge fan! I can tell the difference in their videos, even since Corey and Jake were on there. I get anxious waiting for new videos. I love how they said their fans are like friends and truly care about them, because it's true. We love their personalities and genuineness. Even though their videos are "scary" they are completely relaxing to me and my go to when I feel down. Perfect balance between information, suspense, comedy, and rawness, they have also have strengthend my beliefs because of some of the communications they receive with spirits.
Enjoying watching these guys grow from the equivalent to fart jokes to really engaging well done productions. Love a good fart joke, but the in depth stuff has a lot more longevity.
Huge Sam & Colby fan! Came here just to watch this- I actually never knew how they started I only started watching the videos one someone I followed did a collab with them & then I was like hooked! I’m so happy to hear them say that they’re not trying to do shorts and compete with the main stream short form content because I’m like give me a two hour video every week I will watch whatever they make because it’s truly unique and not only do I just like the subject matter but they really do connect with their audience in an unbelievable way!
Absolutely loved this video because I’m a huge fan of Sam & Colby and we don’t get to hear them having these conversations in this setting. Great questions, great video. Their evolution even with their paranormal videos are so top notch now with the editing, the content itself compared to when they were doing them a couple years ago. They along with TFIL/Overnight are the best paranormal investigators to watch, imo. Love them & are so glad to watch them continue to take it to the next level while producing such quality content.
I remember discovering Sam and Colby right when they moved into the trap house. I have loved to see their content evolve into something I enjoy way more. I stopped watching their channel after they took a break from their Haunted videos the first time. And I’m so glad I came back for season 1.
Even tho they don't think they have many fans, every video they are making is things that people like and watch. I haven't watched them long (since 2022) but when i started watching them i couldn't stop watching them. they are they best, i can't wait for season 3(August 2022) even tho the videos are an hour long, it is worth watching. they are the best ghost hunters I have ever watched. The way they travel around the world just to make us happy is the best thing ever. They always think that we care abt what they do and how they do it, all people care about is that they are doing what they love. i hope they know that they have fans that love them. Can't wait to see what else they bring, in the future. their kind of relationship is rare to find and i hope what they have is what i have with my "BF", and i hope they keep doing what they are doing. Because as a fan we/you don't know what is going inside the screen all you see is these 2 grown man ghost hunting, and not what is rlly happening.
I discovered Sam and Colby in October/November of 2021. A friend of mine sent me a post from a Facebook group she belonged to of an abandoned hotel were some guys had gone into it and took all of these pictures. She knew I loved museums, old houses, haunted places, abandoned anything basically. So I went to look at the pics and in the comment section of one of the pics a guy said hey if you like this check out these guys on UA-cam who film going into abandoned places. I was giddy cause a video is much better lol. I clicked on the video it was Sam and Colby exploring this abandoned hotel that was illegal to go into and they had to hide from security and run along a small beach to escape security, very exciting. After watching it I saw over to the side suggested videos and saw their haunted video called the Conjuring. I clicked on that and was very impressed with how they presented it. I immediately subscribed and supported their channel. I started living my life vicariously through their videos. I became an Xplr Club member I believe in January of this year. I fully support them and have told everyone that will listen about them. I am personally responsible for about 1200 of their subscribers. Most of my Facebook friends are subscribers. They have also inspired me to finally live like I have always wanted to. To be more adventurous, a traveler and even a ghost hunter. Things I have always wanted to do. I have much admiration, appreciation and love for the both of them. They will never know it, but they have changed my life in an astounding way. Maybe one day I will get to tell them how much in person.
I first discovered these two guys in 2020 with the pandemic. I've watched the quality of their content get better and better over the months, culminating in their switch to pure haunted exploration. I feel that their paranormal stuff is miles better than a lot of the produced stuff you see in shows like Ghost Adventures because it feels so much more authentic, like you're right there with the guys and their guests. They've actually become my favorite paranormal show bar none
I'm a huge fan of Sam and Colby. I came across them from my eldest daughter telling me to watch them. I remember watching their Chernobyl documentary and that video is what made me want to watch more content from them. As for their haunted stuff i absolutely love, I'm a huge paranormal geek, they got the perfect balance of scary and exciting with funny, relatable and silly. I can relate to the way they interact as group when with friends, its similar to how me and my friends are. Their reacts channel is amazing cus it authenticates their videos when they revisit that particular video to their fans. My all time favourite youtubers.
being a hardcore sam and colby fan since 2016 i can see a huge improvement and change in both their content and them themselves. their attitude towards the content they put out has clearly improved and they are making better videos… though i loved the videos back then, i am very happy and proud of them for changing the things they post in order to grow their channel. watching them go from being quite awkward and nervous to having a lot of confidence; winning awards, getting more views, posting big projects, going international, doing lots of interviews, it feels like a proud parent moment for me and the other fans that have been here in the family for a while. such a great feeling for us and them :)
It's been amazing to watch these guys grow over the last 5-6 yrs I've been watching them and to see this video and think back it's been a long journey and it's just so incredible how far they've made it and this community they've built, it's just amazing.
I love the haunted vids so much that I will watch the same episodes multiple times also. Like waverly hills-especially that scene where the rem pod was going off and Colby came to check it-holy wow.
It's very cool to see the thought process behind their videos, their journey is very interesting to follow, I'm happy to see that they really think about what they put out there and also that they are not afraid to change stuff every now and then and evolve, great podcast! 👏 Just a side note, there's something that seems like an artificial echo throughout this podcast, maybe caused by the output of all three mics is being played on top of each other and not synced properly + natural echo from the room. It's not a major issue for sure, if you don't focus on it you can barely hear it (ironically, I think this comes from being trained to listen closely for knocks and whispers from Sam and Colby's videos 😀)
It’s so cool seeing them from this perspective because I’ve been watching them for a while (year and a half) But when I first “joined” I was all about their abandoned videos In 2017/2018, and when they were doing the 25X25 I really did miss that one on one with the camera type videos but they brought that back and I’m so grateful that they did because I love the old vlog style. But with that being said I do miss the prank wars, I think all of us do
that's crazy cause im just new into discovering them and so I've just been delving into their videos from the latest and to their past videos and from everything I think I liked their 25x25 series the most, well mostly bcs they were really doing what they want and having lots of fun..the shots were insane..I really like the sceneries.. I'm very interested in their ghost haunting videos cause that's why I watched them but as a new viewer, I like knowing more about them.. so while I'm just binge watching their past videos, I'm also really looking forward for what's next to come
I absolutely love seeing these guys talk about their career, sitting down and being kinda serious (although I love when they are their goofy selves too, but you know what I mean). It feels very heartwarming to see how down to earth they really are and how much love and effort they actually put in their videos and how much they think about stuff. Absolutely amazing guys ♥️

I love this interview bc I've been a fan of snc for 3 years and seen every interview and you asked a lot of questions they haven't been asked before and I learnt some new things and I'm so proud of them, they are always 100% passionate about what they do and everything they do is for the fans and their audience, they care so much about what we think and how we feel about things and that's why they're such good creators and they're such great guys, down to earth and still very humble, even with all their success, they're still the same genuine Kansas kids, they have the best engagement, they have lots of super loyal fans that will watch anything they do (like me lol) and they are hilarious, fun to watch, always doing new and exciting things and that's why I love them so much
We have a deeper connection to Sam and Colby we love them so much and enjoy there content we know they are good people genuinely who they are is amazing and they shine brighter then other UA-camrs I much watch them then Elton or anyone else tbh

Their evolution even with their paranormal videos are so top notch now with the editing, the content itself compared to when they were doing them a couple years ago. They along with TFIL/Overnight are the best paranormal investigators to watch, imo. Love them & are so glad to watch them continue to take it to the next level while producing such quality content.
I remember discovering Sam and Colby right when they moved into the trap house. I have loved to see their content evolve into something I enjoy way more. I stopped watching their channel after they took a break from their Haunted videos the first time. And I’m so glad I came back for season 1.
Even tho they don't think they have many fans, every video they are making is things that people like and watch. I haven't watched them long (since 2022) but when i started watching them i couldn't stop watching them. they are they best, i can't wait for season 3(August 2022) even tho the videos are an hour long, it is worth watching. they are the best ghost hunters I have ever watched. The way they travel around the world just to make us happy is the best thing ever. They always think that we care abt what they do and how they do it, all people care about is that they are doing what they love. i hope they know that they have fans that love them. Can't wait to see what else they bring, in the future. their kind of relationship is rare to find and i hope what they have is what i have with my "BF", and i hope they keep doing what they are doing.
Because as a fan we/you don't know what is going inside the screen all you see is these 2 grown man ghost hunting, and not what is rlly happening.
I discovered Sam and Colby in October/November of 2021. A friend of mine sent me a post from a Facebook group she belonged to of an abandoned hotel were some guys had gone into it and took all of these pictures. She knew I loved museums, old houses, haunted places, abandoned anything basically. So I went to look at the pics and in the comment section of one of the pics a guy said hey if you like this check out these guys on UA-cam who film going into abandoned places. I was giddy cause a video is much better lol. I clicked on the video it was Sam and Colby exploring this abandoned hotel that was illegal to go into and they had to hide from security and run along a small beach to escape security, very exciting. After watching it I saw over to the side suggested videos and saw their haunted video called the Conjuring. I clicked on that and was very impressed with how they presented it. I immediately subscribed and supported their channel. I started living my life vicariously through their videos. I became an Xplr Club member I believe in January of this year. I fully support them and have told everyone that will listen about them. I am personally responsible for about 1200 of their subscribers. Most of my Facebook friends are subscribers. They have also inspired me to finally live like I have always wanted to. To be more adventurous, a traveler and even a ghost hunter. Things I have always wanted to do. I have much admiration, appreciation and love for the both of them. They will never know it, but they have changed my life in an astounding way. Maybe one day I will get to tell them how much in person.
I first discovered these two guys in 2020 with the pandemic. I've watched the quality of their content get better and better over the months, culminating in their switch to pure haunted exploration. I feel that their paranormal stuff is miles better than a lot of the produced stuff you see in shows like Ghost Adventures because it feels so much more authentic, like you're right there with the guys and their guests. They've actually become my favorite paranormal show bar none
I'm a huge fan of Sam and Colby. I came across them from my eldest daughter telling me to watch them. I remember watching their Chernobyl documentary and that video is what made me want to watch more content from them. As for their haunted stuff i absolutely love, I'm a huge paranormal geek, they got the perfect balance of scary and exciting with funny, relatable and silly. I can relate to the way they interact as group when with friends, its similar to how me and my friends are. Their reacts channel is amazing cus it authenticates their videos when they revisit that particular video to their fans. My all time favourite youtubers.
being a hardcore sam and colby fan since 2016 i can see a huge improvement and change in both their content and them themselves. their attitude towards the content they put out has clearly improved and they are making better videos… though i loved the videos back then, i am very happy and proud of them for changing the things they post in order to grow their channel. watching them go from being quite awkward and nervous to having a lot of confidence; winning awards, getting more views, posting big projects, going international, doing lots of interviews, it feels like a proud parent moment for me and the other fans that have been here in the family for a while. such a great feeling for us and them :)

I love the haunted vids so much that I will watch the same episodes multiple times also. Like waverly hills-especially that scene where the rem pod was going off and Colby came to check it-holy wow.
It's very cool to see the thought process behind their videos, their journey is very interesting to follow, I'm happy to see that they really think about what they put out there and also that they are not afraid to change stuff every now and then and evolve, great podcast! 👏
Just a side note, there's something that seems like an artificial echo throughout this podcast, maybe caused by the output of all three mics is being played on top of each other and not synced properly + natural echo from the room. It's not a major issue for sure, if you don't focus on it you can barely hear it (ironically, I think this comes from being trained to listen closely for knocks and whispers from Sam and Colby's videos 😀)
It’s so cool seeing them from this perspective because I’ve been watching them for a while (year and a half) But when I first “joined” I was all about their abandoned videos In 2017/2018, and when they were doing the 25X25 I really did miss that one on one with the camera type videos but they brought that back and I’m so grateful that they did because I love the old vlog style. But with that being said I do miss the prank wars, I think all of us do

that's crazy cause im just new into discovering them and so I've just been delving into their videos from the latest and to their past videos and from everything I think I liked their 25x25 series the most, well mostly bcs they were really doing what they want and having lots of fun..the shots were insane..I really like the sceneries.. I'm very interested in their ghost haunting videos cause that's why I watched them but as a new viewer, I like knowing more about them.. so while I'm just binge watching their past videos, I'm also really looking forward for what's next to come
I absolutely love seeing these guys talk about their career, sitting down and being kinda serious (although I love when they are their goofy selves too, but you know what I mean). It feels very heartwarming to see how down to earth they really are and how much love and effort they actually put in their videos and how much they think about stuff. Absolutely amazing guys ♥️

I love this interview bc I've been a fan of snc for 3 years and seen every interview and you asked a lot of questions they haven't been asked before and I learnt some new things and I'm so proud of them, they are always 100% passionate about what they do and everything they do is for the fans and their audience, they care so much about what we think and how we feel about things and that's why they're such good creators and they're such great guys, down to earth and still very humble, even with all their success, they're still the same genuine Kansas kids, they have the best engagement, they have lots of super loyal fans that will watch anything they do (like me lol) and they are hilarious, fun to watch, always doing new and exciting things and that's why I love them so much
