so where in the Bible did you read that men should not wear earrings? ..uh oh, i think you may have confused tradition with doctrine. .. if all of these other viewers were blessed by the words he sang, and the conviction he sang them with, yet you were distracted by what was in his ear.. is that more of a reflection of him or you?
We still have to be careful to eliminate all distractions of the enemy. People's souls are at stake when we minister. That is why in the Bible God paid very careful attention to detail of dress. We as people don't because we want to blend in, give or make excuses or even become lazy in not wanting to go the extra mile in submitting to the thing of God due to trends. However, lives and souls are at stake. I am guilty also of making poor choices. Since I have become older and wiser, I desire moreso to do what pleases God and not man nor myself. So, the next time you buy something or wear something, ask yourself if it is something that the Lord would be pleased with? Or is it something the enemy can use as a destraction and get the tak the glory from God with it?

Let me know and I can email you the correct words to the song. I dont know who originally sung it tho. My grandma said an old timing group wrote this song way back in the 30's I believe.

vikingbeast2 nothing against bassing.. but when it comes into (worship) I have a problem.. he needs to be bassing with words and not bebop.. when we sing to the Lord we are suppose to be teaching and admonishing...everybody is doing this except for the bassist.. how is he teaching us with Mimicking a musical instrument.. if it sounds like a drum or bass guess what it is and it doesn’t belong in worship.. if God is against musical instruments in the church why wouldn’t he be with mimicking one with your voice.. DOES NOT BELONG IN WORSHIP.. When a man wear an ear ring it is a woman's thing. If someone called him a sissy i'm sure he would get mad. When we minister to God we must dress ourselves accordingly. Remember we're standing on holy ground when we come into God's presence of Somethings are just common sense, it dosn't have to always be spiritual. Men wearing earrings is women like. It is a women's dressing apparel and you know it. It is worldly, carnal and ungodly to wear such garbage. Did Jesus wear an EAR RING? NO!!
Great song, great voice. But please allow me to say this with all love. I don't think men should wear earrings. What kind of messages are sending our boys when you let someone who people look up to get up and represent God in a worldly fashion. It's not about you are your voice that will make a difference in someone's life. IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS CHRIST. He gave us our gifts for his purpose, and when we're call upon to minister out of them, we should be respectfully presentable in his sight.
