- Watch the cozy announcement teaser trailer for inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories, an upcoming narrative adventure simulation game where you take on the role of a convenience store clerk in early 1990s Japan. The trailer gives a peek at gameplay as you organize store shelves, attend to a customer on a rainy evening, and more. inKONBINI will be available in early 2025 on PC, Mac, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 (Playstation 5), and Nintendo Switch.
inKONBINI offers a meditative, slice-of-life experience centered around a small-town convenience store and the lives of its customers. It’s the summer of 1993. Makoto Hayakawa is taking a break from her studies to spend a week behind the counter in her aunt’s konbini. Stocking up goods and ordering deliveries are going to be a part of Makoto’s daily routine, but the heart and soul of the game is dialogue interaction with a diverse cast of characters she will meet and befriend.

weird how they used made up language instead of japanese when it's already so heavily influenced by japan in other areas like the title & protagonist name

That's right. They're famous for their exceptional customer service and are a very important part of everyday life in Japan. That's what inspired us to start making the game in the first place 🙂

The game's protagonist introduced in the teaser video is Makoto Hayakawa. She's the only playable character in the game, but we have a diverse cast of customers visiting the store that you're going to interact with as you work behind the counter!
