I absolutely LOVE how she portrays Queen Charlotte. My favorite line delivery was, "I simply changed my mind."

Oh man, I’d pay money to be in the cast of Bridgerton! As a servant, partygoers, anything!

Not to nitpick but in that era it was called Buckingham house the building was turned into a palace when king George iv reigned he got an architecture to turn it into a palace it was just a big Manor House then it wasn’t a palace also queen Victoria added the ballroom and redesigned the building which is how Buckingham palace was today and while I’m on a roll king Edward vii designed the rooms of Buckingham palace to how they look now it was inspired by the rooms of the Ritz hotel the grand opera look so yeah I gave you the facts and history please and Thankyou and your welcome for my information and if you don’t believe me it’s all online and discussed in documentaries by professional historians

In Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, they call it Buckingham House. And they also clearly say this show is not 100% factual, so inaccuracies are to be forgiven since they're not trying to actually faithfully portray real events.

Yeh. Agreed. I’m not entirely sure what she meant to communicate there but I get her drift I think. And also giving a pass bc it’s her tho 🫠

I think all she meant was that she was never in touch with her fathers culture (who is black) but she was with her mothers (who is white). Therefore, she was just explaining that she was surrounded by mostly white people and European culture

Not sure what you disappointed about. 🤷🏽‍♀️ The things she mentioned are still largely dominated by white audiences. And then you forget Golda is in her 50s, so when she was growing up being raised by a white mother half a century ago, the accessibility was even less than it is now. I’m a black woman in her 40s that has yet to go to a horse race and have only ridden a horse twice in my life, and I definitely haven’t been to a hockey game.

If she was brought up white?
Her black father did her a disservice by not incorporating his culture in family life.
