I said the character is heavily inspired, based , on, "the Walking dude" , "Flagg" and all the other iterations . ..the connotations are there . remember this isn't King's work . ..I do say how ever he is an Evil sob , that can not be trusted and loves the chaos he creates . He is a a dimensional travelling trouble maker like "The Walking dude" ... Flagg is not the only time ,the Walking Dude shows up in King's fiction , there are many iterations , and many have differing powers abilities ., strengths and weaknesses . Versions of Flagg show up in The Stand The Dark Tower Series Hearts in Atlantis The Eyes of the Dragon Gwendy's Button Box They are all very different , they all have different abilities ... but they are are all evil . The Kid is an amalgamation /approximation of all these versions .
I know that but all versions have a swagger and vanity that are their eventual downfall in underestimating people like rolands trials mordred and thomas, i just dont see old creepin judas here.I thought it was him aswell at first but i mistook you i guess he could be his twinner or something.
It's not Stephen Kings writing .... so any similarities easter eggs anything we know about SK's universe is very open to interpretation . I'm not saying the character is him ..but if you had to compare him to anyone in Mr Kings universe , to me , he is a very close approximation of all the versions of The Walking Dude . this is one of the best theories I’ve heard so far on youtube, a lot of the facts checks out!For the longest time I was thinking I had the kid figured out, these characters came to mind Leland gaunt, or someone related to Randal flag, legion or possessed by tak.The kid is defiantly demonic I wonder if we will see the kid in a later season or an explanation on his true origin perhaps he is a creature from the todash darkness. There are rules to understand JJ Abrams. Rule one, he has some messed up relationship with Catholicism. Rule number two, he continuously takes ideas from David Lynch. Rule three, he is obsessed with psychoanalysis in film and theories from Lacan and Freud with desire and dreams. To understand this series first understand David Lynch’s Lost Highway. Then go back and watch all of JJ Abrams work. It will blow your mind.

In Lost highway the main protagonist is played by two different people as well, it’s a plot device and one symbolises the repressed man while the other represents his fantasy of himself.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series up until the very end. It felt like we got this great big set up for something awesome and were left with this ambiguous let down that felt lazy and made me almost hate the entire show because of it. I have watched many different explanation and theory videos and i gotta say yours made me not hate the show or the ending after all. You put things into perspective for me so that i just had an "ahhhhhh" moment lol. Im in complete agreement with your take on it and appreciate that i can now go on to enjoy the second season without the feeling of being let down that i previously had for the first season. So thank you for helping me to once again fully enjoy what i originally thought was a great show!!! No no no. He is not the devil. He wants to get back to his life. Back to his girlfriend and unborn child. If he is evil, it’s because he is trapped in a cage. 🗝🚪
His story from the other universe is all hear say , you never actually find out . The ending offers a possible glimpse into how manipulative and evil he is .
We have more reasons to think that The Kid IS evil, than not. If he is not, his behavior is too wierd. Too random even for a traped guy. But if we say he was a monster all this time, then he didn't act really smart. I am not sure. I think good explanation would be if he was both. For example Demon could need a body. But this body should be "broken", weak. So Demon talked to Lacy through thinny to convince him to lock The Kid - Henry. Also the Kid could be even more weak because he doesn't belong to this universe. I mean the developers really tried to show us both options, maybe because we do have both options. If they don't tell us the truth I will never watch the third season. Btw tomorrow the second season is aired.

You know if you think about this now that you made me think of something,not sure if you might have had said this in another video or not as a theory,but if memory serves me correct doesnt It comeout every 27 or close to it?lol,i never really thought of that until i saw this video.If you remember in the first teaser trailer it gave names to all Stephen King novels.It didnt say Stephen Kings It,it said Pennywise and had him laughing.That would make sense kinda.Cause every 27 years or so there is always a incedent were a lot of people disappear or die in Derry.For awhile there i thought he was the Angel Of Death,until i saw episode 9 at least.I know it probably isn't Pennywise,but it is kinda similar to a lot of things to do with It and Pennywise,especially him being gone for 27 years or so.Just a thought and nice art work and new sub here.Keep up the great content buddy.

I just found your channel and I really like your theory and drawing. I had stated very similar theories on other channel comments. I feel like the kid was feeding off the chaos that he was creating and he was trying to seduce 2 noble spirits 1st Lacy who ended up corrupted and then Henry. I feel he probably showed both a glimpse of his true self then waits for them to go from doubting him to doubting themselves.
Interesting theory. Question, Why would the warden tell the kid to remember "Henry Deaver" before committing suicide? Do you think that the kid finally corrupted the warden and got the info he needed from him and sent him off to kill himself? I also have a theory about whether the kid is or is not evil and the status of the other castle rock. I think that Henry2 was living in a idealized Castle Rock. I think that upon sliding to the other dimension, he was possessed by the walking guy/Flagg/devourer. The Henry that came to our CR is not the one that left his any more. He is a vehicle. So I don't believe Henry 2 was lying, i think it's more insidious, "Walking Henry" uses the truth to painfully manipulate others. He's not making it up, and that's why he can be so effective as a demonic torturer. Great episode!

To get revenge on Alan Pangborn for letting the Warden lock him up , he was being manipulative , using her fear of Mathew to scare her so much she shot Alan .
He wasn’t being nice. He was harassing her in the most subtle way. If his story about being the Henry from another timeline/dimension was true, then why did none of his behavior really match up with that in the previous episodes? He never tried to convince anyone else besides molly whom he only told what she wanted to hear. She was successful in that timeline and her sister wasn’t. He was an evil entity from the start when one of the first thing he did was make the guard think he escaped his room and killed other guards. He was purely set on causing chaos and was playing the characters and audience like a fiddle.
Bad things happen because he doesnt belong there. When Henry was in the other universe bad things happen and when the kid was in a different universe bad things happened. They are a negative force in the universe. Causing things to go bad
Does Henry have memories of being in the alternate Castle Rock ? or is that just the version he has been given ? ...that is why I love this show , nothing is cut and dry
Y’all I have such a theory. Warden Lacy took over as warden in 1987, the same year a fire swept through the prison. The Kid caused a fire at the mental hospital and then a riot in the last episode. When we see The Kid in the last scene before the year jump, he looks like an ancient old man for a second. What if The Kid has actually been being held at the prison for longer than 27 years? If he has been there far longer, does that mean every warden at the prison has been holding him there? If that’s the case, and because the town has been so troubled for so long, could The Kid have been being held there since ancient times? Did her perhaps escape at some point during the time that Henry disappeared? The book of Revelations is heavily referenced in the show, with the verse in an earlier episode from Revelations 19:17. When asked who he is, The Kid responds with that verse. That verse is describing the being who defeats the devil and the antichrist and hell during the apocalypse. It also goes on to describe how birds will fly over head and gather to feast on the flesh of the wicked. The birds gathering over The lake at the end are eerily similar. I’m not sure how this all fits together, but the verse from Romans “the wages of sin is death” strike another chord. The verse is often misinterpreted to mean “sinners must die/ go to hell” but we are all born into sin. The verse actually is speaking of a spiritual death that comes from living a material life. Living a holy life leads to life everlasting. Henry’s father is a reverend and he is twisting the verse for his own purposes. He’s a false prophet and he is “defeated” at the lake when Henry pushes him off the cliff. Another thing that makes Mathew Deaver a false prophet is thinking that he heard god, but maybe it’s not god that he hears. It’s the devil. Odin also dies in the show near the lake where the birds gather. I think the kid is some kind of savior and we are being thrown off the scent with all these other story lines. I think in a future season we will return to this story line for some kind of end of days show down between the forces of good and evil. This whole show is just a big prelude to the real story they’re setting up in the next season. It could be The Kid wanted Henry to go to the lake with him because there are only certain times this whole thing can go down, whatever it is. Maybe the Kid can’t hear the noise because he isn’t evil. Maybe he is so pure he can’t detect it. Another thing worth noting is that it’s all the emissaries of death that die around him: rodents, flies, and crows. I’m not sure how to tie this all up neatly but I think some really good clues are in these verses and I’m dying to discuss this. Also the Norse god references support what I’m saying in that those myths all lead up to the end of the world

When he is asked in episode 3 who he is and what his name is, he answers with that verse. He is the rider of the white horse and hell follows with him. He straight up tells you. He is Death, the first horseman of the apocalypse.

I think personally the character is a sly wink and nod towards How someone like Flagg could come to be , this show is all about uniting SK's canon . There are ways to travel to other dimensions that do allow for a traveler to pass protected . eg. The Arrowhead project . That's why I love this show , the ambiguity and how open to interpretation it is . thanks for commenting and watching .
Makes me wonder how did young Henry have memories of being in the cage for those 11days he was missing & after he was found he was holding a soap carving & he had obviously been kept somewhere warm..& they never finished with the plot hole of the old guy(the brother) with the barber shop.. he made a statement to Henry.. ‘I never touched you’ so many questions 🤯❕
Hmmm I disagree with you. I think the kid told the truth, maybe left a bit out. This is bc both Molly and Henry saw things that matched with the kids story. Also, if he was pure evil then why didn’t the kid kill Henry, why would a simple gun bring him back to capture? I think the audio that’s overlaid in the beginning and end is the main point of the ending. What makes a monster? How do we judge evil? Wouldn’t a monster be made after 27+ yrs in isolation? Out of their dimension only wanting to get home, what will they do at that point? It’s the making of a monster. The only thing I still don’t get is why he can’t use his powers on Henry. Unless it’s bc he thinks he needs him, or for some reason can’t use his powers on him. I saw a comment about that and coinciding with the rules of the dimencions in the dark tower series.
We are more on the same page than you would think , .. I feel in retrospect it was lies and truth ,I really think he was with Molly when she died , maybe even he killed her. I do however think he needed Henry to cross the thinspot , he literally asked him to take him there / lead him . and he followed him through the first time . That's why I love this show , so much is up to us the viewer to try work out . ..I fully see your point of view and am on the fence about many of these issues . I do also think that glimpse we see of a twisted creature , is Henrys psychic powers of sorts seeing "The Kid" for who he really is . whether or not he is evil is fully left up to us . But to Henry , he is a monster . ( I do talk about it in other vids / the whole misunderstood Frankensteins monster angle I also go into has the isolation made him into a twisted insane soul) Thanks so much for watching and contributing to this maze of a show , you make many valid points Kev .
Maybe he was lying, and already knew about them enough, to implant images in their heads, with his powers, to make it like they already know what happened, before he told them. Or, he told Molly he ended up at Castle Lake the day Henry was found. What if he was hiding in the bushes, making Henry push his dad off the quarry with his pshycological power that makes everyone else go crazy, and took him when Mr. Deaver was pushed off, and the schisma taking him, was just an idea spurred on by him, in the imnplanted dreams, to mnake a reason for Henry's dissapearance.
Also the fact that they made the entire episode 9 is all a red hairing is just so lame. That episode could of been spent doing more so that we didn't need a one year time skip.
Nah. It's like the fly episode in Breaking Bad if you'd ever watched that series. It exists solely to demonstrate the level of sadism and manipulation in the kid as the fly was used to demonstrate the level of obsession and compulsion in Walter White. At first it totally seems irrelevant, but once you reconsider the reasoning, it really becomes the benchmark of the characters psyche.

So I don't believe Henry 2 was lying, i think it's more insidious, "Walking Henry" uses the truth to painfully manipulate others. He's not making it up, and that's why he can be so effective as a demonic torturer. Great episode!

To get revenge on Alan Pangborn for letting the Warden lock him up , he was being manipulative , using her fear of Mathew to scare her so much she shot Alan .
He wasn’t being nice. He was harassing her in the most subtle way. If his story about being the Henry from another timeline/dimension was true, then why did none of his behavior really match up with that in the previous episodes? He never tried to convince anyone else besides molly whom he only told what she wanted to hear. She was successful in that timeline and her sister wasn’t. He was an evil entity from the start when one of the first thing he did was make the guard think he escaped his room and killed other guards. He was purely set on causing chaos and was playing the characters and audience like a fiddle.

Bad things happen because he doesnt belong there. When Henry was in the other universe bad things happen and when the kid was in a different universe bad things happened. They are a negative force in the universe. Causing things to go bad
Does Henry have memories of being in the alternate Castle Rock ? or is that just the version he has been given ? ...that is why I love this show , nothing is cut and dry
It disrupts the frequency or something and causes bad things which can also be talked about with the crows like they were caught in the line
Y’all I have such a theory.
Warden Lacy took over as warden in 1987, the same year a fire swept through the prison.
The Kid caused a fire at the mental hospital and then a riot in the last episode.
When we see The Kid in the last scene before the year jump, he looks like an ancient old man for a second.
What if The Kid has actually been being held at the prison for longer than 27 years?
If he has been there far longer, does that mean every warden at the prison has been holding him there? If that’s the case, and because the town has been so troubled for so long, could The Kid have been being held there since ancient times?
Did her perhaps escape at some point during the time that Henry disappeared?
The book of Revelations is heavily referenced in the show, with the verse in an earlier episode from Revelations 19:17. When asked who he is, The Kid responds with that verse. That verse is describing the being who defeats the devil and the antichrist and hell during the apocalypse. It also goes on to describe how birds will fly over head and gather to feast on the flesh of the wicked.
The birds gathering over The lake at the end are eerily similar.
I’m not sure how this all fits together, but the verse from Romans “the wages of sin is death” strike another chord. The verse is often misinterpreted to mean “sinners must die/ go to hell” but we are all born into sin. The verse actually is speaking of a spiritual death that comes from living a material life. Living a holy life leads to life everlasting. Henry’s father is a reverend and he is twisting the verse for his own purposes. He’s a false prophet and he is “defeated” at the lake when Henry pushes him off the cliff. Another thing that makes Mathew Deaver a false prophet is thinking that he heard god, but maybe it’s not god that he hears. It’s the devil. Odin also dies in the show near the lake where the birds gather.
I think the kid is some kind of savior and we are being thrown off the scent with all these other story lines. I think in a future season we will return to this story line for some kind of end of days show down between the forces of good and evil. This whole show is just a big prelude to the real story they’re setting up in the next season. It could be The Kid wanted Henry to go to the lake with him because there are only certain times this whole thing can go down, whatever it is. Maybe the Kid can’t hear the noise because he isn’t evil. Maybe he is so pure he can’t detect it.
Another thing worth noting is that it’s all the emissaries of death that die around him: rodents, flies, and crows.
I’m not sure how to tie this all up neatly but I think some really good clues are in these verses and I’m dying to discuss this.
Also the Norse god references support what I’m saying in that those myths all lead up to the end of the world

When he is asked in episode 3 who he is and what his name is, he answers with that verse. He is the rider of the white horse and hell follows with him. He straight up tells you. He is Death, the first horseman of the apocalypse.

I think personally the character is a sly wink and nod towards How someone like Flagg could come to be , this show is all about uniting SK's canon . There are ways to travel to other dimensions that do allow for a traveler to pass protected .
eg. The Arrowhead project . That's why I love this show , the ambiguity and how open to interpretation it is .

Makes me wonder how did young Henry have memories of being in the cage for those 11days he was missing & after he was found he was holding a soap carving & he had obviously been kept somewhere warm..& they never finished with the plot hole of the old guy(the brother) with the barber shop.. he made a statement to Henry.. ‘I never touched you’ so many questions 🤯❕

Hmmm I disagree with you. I think the kid told the truth, maybe left a bit out. This is bc both Molly and Henry saw things that matched with the kids story. Also, if he was pure evil then why didn’t the kid kill Henry, why would a simple gun bring him back to capture?
I think the audio that’s overlaid in the beginning and end is the main point of the ending. What makes a monster? How do we judge evil? Wouldn’t a monster be made after 27+ yrs in isolation? Out of their dimension only wanting to get home, what will they do at that point? It’s the making of a monster. The only thing I still don’t get is why he can’t use his powers on Henry. Unless it’s bc he thinks he needs him, or for some reason can’t use his powers on him. I saw a comment about that and coinciding with the rules of the dimencions in the dark tower series.
We are more on the same page than you would think , .. I feel in retrospect it was lies and truth ,I really think he was with Molly when she died , maybe even he killed her.
I do however think he needed Henry to cross the thinspot , he literally asked him to take him there / lead him . and he followed him through the first time .
That's why I love this show , so much is up to us the viewer to try work out . ..I fully see your point of view and am on the fence about many of these issues .
I do also think that glimpse we see of a twisted creature , is Henrys psychic powers of sorts seeing "The Kid" for who he really is . whether or not he is evil is fully left up to us .
But to Henry , he is a monster . ( I do talk about it in other vids / the whole misunderstood Frankensteins monster angle I also go into has the isolation made him into a twisted insane soul)

Maybe he was lying, and already knew about them enough, to implant images in their heads, with his powers, to make it like they already know what happened, before he told them. Or, he told Molly he ended up at Castle Lake the day Henry was found. What if he was hiding in the bushes, making Henry push his dad off the quarry with his pshycological power that makes everyone else go crazy, and took him when Mr. Deaver was pushed off, and the schisma taking him, was just an idea spurred on by him, in the imnplanted dreams, to mnake a reason for Henry's dissapearance.
Also the fact that they made the entire episode 9 is all a red hairing is just so lame. That episode could of been spent doing more so that we didn't need a one year time skip.
Nah. It's like the fly episode in Breaking Bad if you'd ever watched that series. It exists solely to demonstrate the level of sadism and manipulation in the kid as the fly was used to demonstrate the level of obsession and compulsion in Walter White. At first it totally seems irrelevant, but once you reconsider the reasoning, it really becomes the benchmark of the characters psyche.
