The 2nd bass notes are there. I have two sons in Nordic and have heard them sing this multiple times over the years. Nordic NEVER omits them, and can handle them just fine. Remember, you are listening to a compressed video on UA-cam.
@haugwi01 "O Lord God" is Nordic's signature piece, but it is not Luther's alma mater. Luther's alma mater is "To Luther," an original text set to the tune of "There's Music in the Air" in 1897.
To JWEST - there was a concert in honor of 125 anniversary of F Melius' birth. I believe all were there including Augsburg, Concordia St Olaf and Luther
Why is it no matter what choir I listen to, the 2nd bass notes are missing? I cant tell if they were eliminated from the music or the basses cant handle the notes?
My dad was a choir director and we sang this at his funeral. Thanks for posting it in memorium here!
Soli Deo Gloria. Thank you, Weston Noble, for leading such a phenomenal choir.

I need to buy the professional and mastered recording of this performance. Impeccable.
Bruce would have loved this.
